Lee Jieun's POV
"We know whats good for you, you're still too young to understand." My mom exclaimed coldly.
The same sentence over and over again. When will I be old enough to understand?
Sick of arguing, I headed back to my room. The thoughts filled up my mind. I opened my favorite book as I read the lines I repeatedly read everyday;
You're the one who calls the law of attraction into action, and you do it through your thoughts.
Trust the universe is working in your favour, always.
Aren't my thoughts enough to attract my dreams?
I decided to go get some air, even though I never go out in winter because my parents never allowed me to. At that point I couldn't care less. I sneaked out and walked with no destination. I hadn't even realized I was crying. My sobs getting chocked every now and then.
Heedless of where my feet dragged me, I found myself standing against the railing of a bridge.
I had an urge to just scream, so I screamed. With all that was left in me. For the universe to take heed of my wish.
"I wish I were someone else".
A burning throat, a pounding headache, numb feet and a heart wrenching sorrow. It was all that I was left with.
Deciding to head home I looked back into a figure scrutinizing me.
"Oh damn this is embarrassing, i hope he didn't hear me." I murmured.
As I kept walking towards him, the more familiar he looked to me. It was an odd feeling. I tried to keep my cool to pass him by with no eye contact.
But suddenly I felt too warm. A headache kicked in abruptly. I started losing my balance.
Anticipating a fall on a rough pavement; instead they were fine muscular arms that hugged me. An enchanting scent enveloped me as well.
Unaware, my arms reached out and all I could feel was a well-defined warm chest.
I felt a heat rush surge through my body, it was getting strenuous to have my eyelids open. I let out a couple of words that sounded incoherent to me and before I lost touch of my milieus.
"Oh damn he is cute."
