Jeon Jungkook's POV
I still can't fathom how her piece of advice helped me.
"Sometimes you need to slow down your pace to be able to show consistency. Be it your life or dancing."
When Taehyung and the rest of the trainees walked in, practice began. Taehyung played the same song and he silently asked me to take it easy.
Taking in a deep breath, I let her words repeat in my head.
"And 5 6 7 8!"
Completely focused on the beats and the moves, I hadn't realized I actually got it right till Taehyung commended me.
I can't lie it lifted my spirits a bit so practice today flowed smoothly.

"Good job today guys!" Taehyung applauded us.
Drenched in sweat, I moved to the back to get my towel and water bottle. I noticed a few of the trainees huddled around Heejin and were talking. I actually wanted to thank her but it seems it may have to wait.
While I was sipping on my water, I discerned Heejin's figure approaching me.
"Hey, my friends and I are going out to eat, wanna tag?" She nicely offered.
"No, it's fine you guys can head out first." I declined.
"Oh ok." She smiled; but I could pick off a tinge of disappointment in her eyes.
She turned to the other trainee, quiet girl in the corner but halted midway; her face could say it all. She felt uncomfortable. Retreating cautiously, she went out with the rest.
Feeling starved, I headed to the cafeteria to grab a drink and snacks seeing I'm gonna stay behind and practice more, as usual.

It isn't long before the night falls; most people getting off from work. Seoul streets couldn't get any livelier, beautiful lights embroidering the alleys and restaurant outdoors, the first snow had just set in and everyone couldn't wait anymore.
I had finished my practice like 3 hours ago and headed home, to my lone solitude. I had my dinner and cleaned around my morning mess. I am a tidy person believe me.
Strangely enough, I didn't stay in as usual and binge watched YouTube videos. I had an in-satiated feeling I couldn't put a name to. But all I could say is that it was steering my feet somewhere.
And that somewhere was the supermarket, the same one where I met her, Jieun. I still can't believe I got to share that much of my life with anyone in one night.
She was a rare beauty I must say. Her pale puffy face was a sight to admit. I chuckled silently remembering. Her in a hoodie and a messed up bun. Though I was worried about her.
I really can't explain what's going on with my head, or what I was thinking lurking around the supermarket. Maybe hoping I could see her again.
I was by the chips section when I heard the bell chime to signal a customer has come in. Flustered and anxious, I tried to look cool; rummaging through the shelves to seem as if I'm looking for something. Maybe my sanity for goodness sake.
I was pulled out off my thoughts when I heard the person was in the aisle in front of me. Tiptoeing to peep, with hopes that it was her yet no it was a short dark brown haired girl. A familiar figure I must say.
As if sensing my presence, she turned around. It was Heejin.
Perplexed by her appearance, I stammered. "Uhm uh hey uhm I was just trying to reach this bag of chips, you know."
"Oh." She smiled with a puzzled expression.
"So, uhm what are you doing here?" I asked trying my best to break this awkward situation.
"Getting some chocolate." She showed me the bars she had.
Weird enough she got all random chocolates off the shelf, just like Jieun the other day. What do I know maybe most girls are the same.
A stifling silence passed by, both of us avoided each other's gazes. Then she spoke.
"Well if you have nothing to do you wanna hang out?" She suggested.
"Uhm sure." I couldn't say no again. Maybe I can thank her this time.
We paid for our purchases and sat down on the chairs placed outside the supermarket.
"I didn't get to thank you for earlier in the practice room, so thank you. It was really agonizing repeating the same moves and not getting it right." I genuinely thanked her.
"Tell me about it. I hate those times honestly. But don't mention it besides you're a natural." She smiled warmly.
"Really? Thanks!" I smiled flustered at the compliment.
Another session of silence elapsed but this time it was pleasant as we silently enjoyed our snacks.
"So do you live close by?" I pondered.
"Actually, no. I was taking a stroll and ended up here." She said while looking away.
"You?"
"Same as you I guess, was walking around for some air."
"What a coincidence!". She guffawed.
"I know right!"
"It's nice bumping into you twice in a day." She giggles.
"You should call yourself lucky." I smirked being playful.
"And to what honours?" She snickered placing her hand under chin.
"Do I really have to spell it out? I mean just look at this. Many girls would kill for your place right now. To top that, you're sitting with me and having a snack. You' have won the lottery." Looking at her innocently.
"Oh pardon me I didn't know being graced with such a horrific sight is considered a blessing." She fired back.
"Do you wear glasses? If so you might have left them home." I countered.
"Darling I'd beg to be blind right now to refrain from this eye sore."
"Ohh I think you're misinterpreting your eye sore, it might be because you've never met such a handsome man before it's hurting you."

And the banter went on forever. Had we not noticed the time, we would have stayed up all night talking.
We even had to buy more snacks to last us this endless chatter.
I walked her back home given it was 20 minutes away and took a taxi home.
I had gone out to find Jieun but to no avail; however I didn't go home with nothing.
