Gomez unpacked the rack out of his suitcase and asked Grandpa and Herman to help him get it to the dungeon.
"Gomez, why did you even bring this heavy rack?!" Grandpa asked.
"It's the Addams way!" Gomez exclaimed.
"If you gentlemen don't mind I'll carry it." Herman said. "I am the strongest out of all of you."
"Oh really Herman?" Said a voice from behind.
"Lily, I am the strongest! You know that!" Herman exclaimed.
"Need I remind you about the time I beat you in an arm wrestling match?" Lily asked.
"That was not one of my personal best days....." Herman said.
"Allow me, gentlemen." Lily said, taking the rack from Herman, and carrying it downstairs into the dungeon. She placed it next to Grandpa's slab.
"There. This is just perfect." Lily said.
"Thanks, Lily." Gomez said.
"Of course, she's my friend after all." Lily said.
"Right. Now we must get Morticia down here in Grandpa's lab." Gomez said. "Tish!" Morticia came to the top of there stairs.
"Are you ready Querida?" Gomez asked.
"As an Addams will ever be." Morticia answered coming downstairs. She lied down on the rack.
"If everyone doesn't mind Tish and I would like to be alone." Gomez said. Everyone excused themselves form the dungeon.
"Tish, why are you so afraid of Lionel?" Gomez asked.
"I'm afraid of Lionel because he tried to steal our money the last time he visited us, and I've had two nightmares...and not the good kind. They were frightening for an Addams."
"What were the dreams about?" Gomez asked.
"The first nightmare I had was about Lionel kidnapping Wednesday, and me having to marry him to prevent him from kidnapping her and I would never see her again." Morticia answered, beginning to cry.
"And what was the next nightmare?" Gomez asked.
"The next nightmare I had, Lionel tried to hurt the whole family! He tried to kill me, you tried to save me, I fainted, suddenly I woke up!" Morticia answered.
"Ahh, I see." Gomez said.
"What will help me escape this paranoia?" Morticia asked.
"I have just the cure!" Gomez exclaimed standing up as if he actually had an idea.
"Well, what is the cure?" Morticia asked.
"I don't know, I haven't thought of it." Gomez answered.
"Oh...."Morticia said, disappointed.
"But fear not Querida, we will find something to help you!" Gomez exclaimed.
"I can only hope." Morticia said.

Lily was outside the dungeon pacing. Hoping Gomez would be able to help Morticia. Suddenly, little Wednesday walked in on Lily.
"Hello, Wednesday dear." Lily said.
"Hello, Mrs. Munster." Wednesday said. "Is mother going to be alright?" Lily led Wednesday to the couch and sat her on her lap.
"I don't know dear, but I hope so." Lily answered.
"Ok, but I want mother better." Wednesday said.
"I do too." Lily said.
"Mrs. Munster, what's mother so afraid of?" Wednesday asked.
"I couldn't tell you that darling." Lily said.
"Why not?" Wednesday asked.
"Because it's not something a young child should know." Lily answered.
"But I wanna help my mother." Wednesday said heartbroken for her mother. Seeing her the way she was hurt her deeply, and she wanted nothing more than to help, in spite of her being only six years old.
"I know you do darling, and that's very kind of you, but you're only six." Lily said.
"Can't six year old's do big things?" Wednesday asked.
"I don't think so darling." Lily said, her heart breaking for this sweet little girl. "Tell you what, why don't you come into the kitchen with me, and I'll make you some chocolate lizard pudding."
"Oh goodie! Chocolate spider pudding is my favorite next to yack fudge!" Wednesday exclaimed following Lily into the kitchen. Lily poured some chocolate spider putting into a bowl and handing it to Wednesday. Lily helped herself to a bowl as well and began to eat it. Wednesday took her first bite, and instantly fell in love with the pudding.
"This is really good Mrs. Munster!" Wednesday exclaimed.
"I'm glad you like it." Lily smiled.
"Mhm." Wednesday said through a mouthful of pudding.
"You know, my mother used to make this." Lily said.
"She did?" Wednesday asked.
"Yes, as a child, I would eat this for dessert with my siblings every weekend and we would all sit in the family room and talk for a while." Lily said.
"That must've been nice." Wednesday said.
"It was very nice." Lily said. "I haven't seen my sister in a while."
"Why not?" Wednesday asked.
"Who knows." Lily answered.
"I'd be sad if I didn't see Pugsley that often, even though he can be such a sissy." Wednesday said, making Lily chuckle.
"Brothers can be like that." Lily said. "Why, just imagine if Eddie had a sibling." Wednesday laughed.
"Your mother is very lucky to have a daughter like you." Lily said. "So kind, helpful, and always concerned about others."
"Thank you Mrs. Munster. I do have the best mother." Wednesday said.
"Indeed, you do." Lily said, smiling at Wednesday.

Morticia curled up into a little ball on the rack. That was unusual behavior for her let alone an Addams but the circumstances were unusual. Morticia was having nightmares and not enjoying them, and usually an Addams either would enjoy them, or not be bothered much by them. The nightmares Morticia had had shaken her to her core and no one has been able to ease her anxiety. Not even Gomez and he used all the psychiatry trick in the old Addams book of psychiatry. If nothing in that psychiatry book worked then nothing would work. Gomez rubbed soothing circles around Morticia's back as she cried softly, completely at a loss of what to do.
"Tish...."Gomez said. "Seeing you like this pains me greatly."
"I'm aware...."Morticia said.
"Please." Gomez said. "Please, at least try to calm down."
"I can't." Morticia said. "There's no helping me."
"There has to be a way to help you." Gomez said.
"Even an Addams can lose her faith!" Morticia exclaimed, tears streaming down her pale face. Gomez lifted his wife bridal style off the rack and carried her up to their guest room. He set her gently on the bed careful not to be too rough with her. He cuddled his wife close to him and stroked her hair. He planted gentle kisses on he temple, doing whatever he could to ease her pain.
"I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I'm usually not like this, but I suppose this can happen to even the best of Addams'." Morticia cried.
"Lionel, you caused this." Gomez thought. "If I ever come across you, I will fight you to the death, and kill you in the process..."
