Morticia woke up tied up with ropes tied around her. She looked around through her blurred vision to see she was in a basement. The moon shone through the window and Morticia saw it was a finished basement with a pool table in the middle of the room and books and chairs were everywhere. There were also wine bottles everywhere. Lionel must drink a lot when friends come over.
Morticia's vision began to clear up after the good minutes she spend lying on that hardwood floor and allowing her eyes to get used to the dark. Morticia heard several sets of footsteps coming down the basement stairs. In times like this, even an Addams felt afraid.
The footsteps turned the corner and there was Lionel with his assistant and three other people Morticia's never met before.
"Lionel, you and I were friends when we were children....." Morticia began. "And THIS, is how you treat an old friend, let alone a LADY?! I honestly believe you were more man than that."
Lionel rushed over to Morticia and came really close to her face.
"I AM a man! YOUR the weak one! Don't you DARE ever say that to me AGAIN!" Lionel exclaimed through gritted teeth.
"Can you blame me?! A man wouldn't treat a lady this way, or admit he's behaving in such a disgraceful manner because he's weak inside!" Morticia exclaimed.
"You three, take her to the guest room." Lionel ordered through gritted teeth. Andrew and Lisa got to work and began to haul Morticia upstairs while Adrian stood stock still.
"Adrian, do I look like I'm fooling?! Help them get Mrs. Addams to the guest room NOW!!" Lionel ordered. Adrian went over and joined the couple.
"Forgive me, miss." Adrian whispered in Morticia's ear before Lionel's three cronies hauled Morticia up the stairs while she was thrashing and calling for Gomez.
~
The movie ended and Gomez immediately looked for Morticia who's was not in her seat. He couldn't remember seeing her leave, but his eyes were glued to the movie screen and anything could have happened.
"Has anyone seen Morticia?" Gomez asked. Everyone looked at each other, confused.
"I haven't seen her since before the movie, sir." Eddie answered.
"I second that." Lily said.
"Well, someone has to know where on earth she is!" Gomez exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, I wish I knew but I don't." Lily said, worrying about her friend.
"When was the last time anyone saw her?" Herman asked Gomez.
"She was sitting next to me in the theater but I didn't notice her leave." Gomez said, ashamed of himself for not paying more attention to his wife. She needed his attention now, especially at a time when she was so distressed and for what? A dream she simply can't seem to get over.
"Did you notice anything strange? Like an extra shadow beside Morticia or something?" Lily asked. She remembered she saw a shadow beside Morticia earlier but brushed it off since there were shadows everywhere in the Munster house.
"I thought I saw some extra black at the corner of my eye, but nothing more than that." Gomez answered. "If the children find out there mother is missing-"
"Father, where's mother?" Wednesday asked making Gomez tense. The last thing he wanted to do was tell his children their mother was missing and no one noticed her leave if she left or if somebody kidnapped her. The second thought terrified him the most.
"Your mother is-" Gomez started trying to choke up the words. "Your mother is...children...we can't find her." Gomez said, tears prickling in his eyes.
"What do you mean you can't find her?!" Wednesday asked, worrying for her mother.
"I mean, she is absent at this moment." Gomez answered.
"Well, we can't just stand here and do nothing! We have to look for her!" Lily exclaimed. "Where would she go?" Gomez thought about where his wife would go if she would run off, which she wouldn't. Gomez knee Morticia would never leave the family like this just to go for a swim in a swamp somewhere. She wouldn't leave them to look for a witch or a dragon.
"Everyone! Assemble!" Gomez ordered. Everyone gathered around Gomez and into a huddle.
"Everyone, I'm afraid I'm the bearer of terrible news." Gomez began. "I fear my Tish has been.....kidnapped."
"What makes you believe that?" Herman asked.
"I believe it, because she wouldn't leave us like this." Gomez answered.
"Gomez, open your eyes. She's been behaving oddly, and that's coming from me." Grandpa said.
"Even for an Addams." Uncle Fester said.
"She's never behaved like this before." Mama commented. "What on earth is she so upset about anyway?"
"Well, she's been having nightmares." Gomez answered. "Normally she'd enjoy them, but these weren't the good kinds of nightmares she was having."
"Whoever heard of an Addams having a bad kind of nightmare?" Uncle Fester asked.
"No Addams has ever had a 'bad' nightmare before!" Mama said.
"Quiet!" Gomez exclaimed, anger boiling in his veins. "Your arguing back and forth isn't going to get us any closer to finding morticia!" Uncle fester and mama looked at each other, feeling awkward. Gomez pulled his sword out and began to walk away.
"Gomez, where are you going?!" Mama called.
"I'm going to find Tish!" Gomez exclaimed.
"Alone?" Mama asked, concerned for her son's safety.
"A true Addams never stands alone!" Uncle Fester exclaimed.
"Were going to look for mother too!" Pugsley said, walking up to his father and holding Wednesday's hand.
"And Lily and I will help to." Herman said pulling his wife close to him.
"So will I." Eddie said walking up to Wednesday and Pugsley.
"Grandpa and I will help too." Marilyn said eyeing grandpa.
"Oh, alright I'll help." Grandpa said.
"Well, what are we waiting for! We haven't time to lose!" Gomez exclaimed running toward the car. "Munsters, follow us please!"
"Sure thing Gomez!" Herman called back. Lurch started the car and the car sounded off with its signature *boom* leaving the Munsters covered in soot as they followed behind.
