So it was said that two souls that were binded through ageless time, despite being forced apart from circumstances it will find its way back as the heart's yearning will soar through land and sea to seek for the missing one and unless if either chooses to cut this thread consciously with the other agreeing, it will continue to tug in the heart. The soul itself has no gender differentiation, it is pure in light inside and the law of attraction comes in when we are fitted in to a physical body form. The soul recognises each other through the eyes no matter how much the meta physical outlook changes.
It was the night before the event, the crown prince addresses the battalion in front of him as most of his general stood listening intensively. They had strategise, they had rehearse the steps and it was timely that they took the team in to drum in the confidence each of them need out in the field tomorrow as night approaches.
And as the prince spoke to them in his charismatic leadership tone addressing all his fellow fighters. His Royal body guard stood near him with hawk eyes stare trailing his move and as he walk nearer to the crowd, he whispers "Your Highness, not advisable" cautioning him to be careful approaching too deep into the crowd.
He was ushered back to the front line and as the toast and drink to tomorrow's fate, a sense of deep longing had nudge his royal body guard to wait up through the night
"Please take care of him, the stars doesn't seem to be favourable, I don't have a good feeling about this mission" the spiritual elders spoke to the royal body guard
"Yi Wen, no matter what happens bring him back, you must watch over his every step...you must protect him at all cost, you must bring him back... he has to be with you at all times"
So it was said the elders had predicted before they anointed the appointment of the royal body guard for the crown prince - they saw through their birth path prediction that it is all written out when they were born - the arrangements that was planned beyond one's understanding and their intertwining fate that continues to unfold through centuries as they continue to look out for one after another until such that the either one chooses to give up and the other accepts... the way of how their story is written is pen through the history of time in different roles that they were setup.
"Yi Wen...when we come back from this mission let's go back to the river by the forest, we have not been there for a while. I want to enjoy the wild flowers and listen to the calming stream waters again"
Yi Wen look up hearing that, he knew the crown prince sense the same thing as him "You will be fine, I'll be there by your side your highness...Zhen Yuen, we have to make it back here safely" A name that was forbidden for him to utter commonly and only in their own presence he will so call occasionally as they both were not hung up over such formalities. Their childhood play took a serious turn in their lives when the palace officials started to segregate the royal children's upbringing and exposure for direct lineage to the throne versus those of not. And to keep Yi Wen safe, Zhen Yuan will in his capacity quietly provide his protection for Yi Wen. As the palace politics starts to heighten threatening Zhen Yuan's safety. Yi Wen became concern realising many plots that went around endangering Zhen Yuan's safety and he himself pledge his life through the spiritual elders to be Yi Wen's body guard. Yi Wen's coming forth was indeed anticipated for those who can see how the stars of these two starts to collide.
While Yi Wen knew this battle was critical he was more concern as he knew he will have to live through it again .... that he will loose Zhen Yuen and the only difference he wasn't made aware was, Zhen Yuan would be in his arms when his soul leaves this time, as always surrounded with the wild flowers in the forests with the little stream that he envisioned coming home to. Indeed a sad ending for a dream that had haunted both of them.
Back to the present, the cold winter flakes blew hard, as Kay dug his ski pole into the blanket of snow. This was the first time Kay revisited this place after years of staying away from it. Every corner that he stopped he wanted to be able to embrace it happily. While there were many potential opportunities to move on he doesn't feel that it was fair to move into any relationship if he could not be able to commit his heart fully, as long as there is this lingering past that continues to pull him back, he feels it won't be fair to succumb the other party into a one sided relationship.
He trailed the routes that he was familiar with when he was here back then. The chairlift felt empty but he held to his heart...."you need to try not to avoid visiting the places that you are afraid to go because it haunts you emotionally, force yourself to visit those places ....face the feelings, take it in and accept and move on...the best way is to close it off with him, ask him to let you go, you will feel better and you won't be worried about him as you both agree to move on then for each other's sake...be truthful to yourself" he recalled an advice from a close friend
"Want to spend every winter with you here like this" Those words were the one Kay hated to remember, those lines, it brought back grief of this lost love that had him planning for their future. He pushed his ski pole onto the ground and bended his knees more, taking it faster down the slope, shaking off the thoughts and the occasional memory that hurts. It's been sometime, he was surprise it still haunts him...the image of Yan Lan and him racing down the hill, them exchanging their deep thoughts lying on the snow bed watching the sky, the intimacy that they shared ....the dreams that they had. He pushed down the slope harder not bothered on the danger of the speed that he was sliding through. At this rate....he couldn't manage his hidden emotions, he wants to cut it off totally feeding on the speed that he was pushing on through the slope in front of him.
"Slow down Mr! It's a little slippery down there!" Before he could even break the speed, he skidded off the tracks and landed on his side.
"Whoaaa! Are you ok?" A ranger guide came over to where Kay is and tried to help him back on his feet.
"Are you alright? Can you stand up?"
"Ouch ...yes I think I can" as he struggle to remove his skis sideways and step back up standing.
"Be careful, it rained earlier so the tracks are pretty slippery, won't advise you to stay out here long not being accompanied by any guide if you are new on this route or if you are alone on this route, it is pretty steep. It's getting dark you should try to get back early"
"Thanks, will remember to be careful" He responded back gratefully
He wave and thank the ranger guide as he continue to adjust his legs back onto his ski. Kay's ankle must have sprained a little as he felt it hurting as he pushes the boot to lock it onto the ski. He had probably woken upon from his insanity action earlier realising he should not be carried away in such situation. Now as he bend his knees to get ready to slope down, he break the move with his ski pole as his ankle starts to hurt again. It's quiet out here, he could probably wait for another passing guide and try to make it back slowly. He sat down and tried to adjust his boots again massaging his ankle tightening the buckle so it would hold to his ankle tightly and as he tried balance himself back onto the tracks, another skier came from the side fast, passing him.
"Excuse me! I.." He called out but the person just flew pass and went through down the slope. He missed that. He decided to take the risk and pick up his ski poles and somehow use his gravity to move downwards and it started to picked up and he try manoeuvring the bend slowly and he is back enjoying the feel of the dancing wind circling around him.
