The next morning Yan Lan woke up smiling. He felt the warmth next to him and reach out as his arm to pulled the person whose back is facing him nearer into his embrace.
He hugged Kay tightly. "I love you" as he whispered that to be responded by a stretch of hands like a yawning cat waking up in the morning turning around to face him mumbling ..."hey...you're awake?" and fell back asleep leaving Yan Lan smitten with the lovely person in front now.
And in his quiet heart, Yan Lan spoke 'Ge...2 years back you've lend me your spark when mine was dimmed, you took the heat and consequences when our popularity soar. I'm still the lonely star which you've found in the dark night sky back then only brighter now with you by my side. Your spark has given me all the encouragement to really excel ....I am returning it to you so you can continue to shine.' As he said that his hand touches Kay's heart a gesture reflecting his words. He stare again at the peaceful face sleeping in front of him and smile again.
While the plans started to take place towards them appearing together, Yan Lan wasn't going to take any chances if Kay had to face any threats or difficulties along the way. He knew this business more than the surface level of how things were. They spoke about it...he paid attentive details to Kay's unspoken and spoken concern even when he doesn't says it.
The small movements brought his attention back to Kay which was now stretching again like a cat and slowly opening his eyes starring back now "mmmm... how long have you been starring at me?" Kay teased and smiled back at Yan Lan as he said that "morning...what's keeping you away from sleeping longer? He asked, concern if something was bothering Yan Lan.
"You" the answered blurted out with a big smile and a squeeze in his hand.
"Me?? I was worried more about you Yan Lan....are you feeling better?"
"Always, when I'm with you the world feels lighter and calmer." He paused and closed his eyes as he remember his race's predicament "I was seriously hoping I could just be with you right after that" He squeezed his hands tighter
"I didn't know if you'd be okay. I was desperate to just run to you if it all that matters Yan Lan - I can't ..." Kay stopped as he feel his emotion twisting up within. The flashes of the entire scene gave him such an unforgettable moment. On that he leap forward to hug Yan Lan tightly burying his face on his shoulder and chest. Yan Lan could feel the dampness from his Kay's eyes. He understood this boy so well. He does not openly say it but the depth of his emotions are so intense sometimes even more than Yan Lan himself.
"I'm fine Kay" ...he said as Yan Lan stroke his hair and pull him up leaning onto his forehead "don't worry it's not my first time dealing with disappointment he said this as he lean in to breathe Kay's scent on his neck and move on to kiss if planting a mark on it.
"Ah..Yan Lan..mmm...no...don't start it" Kay half enjoying the sensual morning feel that Yan Lan decided invoke and yet conscious how intense his move could trigger them further
"I miss you...I want you so badly" Yan Lan said as he sink his lips onto Kay's neck leaving visible mark along the sideline of Kay's neck.
"Mmm Y.an Lan ....let's refreshen up first sha ...mmmnn. ..." Yan Lan was just feasting onto Kay just moving his kisses from the neck downwards and as soon as Kay started to speak again he put his fingers onto his lips signalling for him to not speak.
"Shhh....just love you...can't begin to tell you mnnn how much I miss you Kay" Yan Lan smile as he saw Kay's struggle to keep his logical mind conscious and half surrendering to Yan Lan's moves, aroused by his reaction yet conscious Kay wanted them to freshen up first. He smiled and obeyed reluctantly.
He propped up his head and look at Kay "okay I'll be kind and let you breathe calmly" he said as he himself struggle to calm himself down as well.
"Kay ..." Kay was leaning onto Yan Lan's firm chest now just feeling the morning love.
"am here..." Kay spoke as he raised his head to look back at Yan Lan
Yan Lan was deep in his thought when he squash Kay's hand in his "hey...Kay, we've got to respond to the team if we are showing up for the year end event. How are you feeling about it?"
"It's been a while ....excited yet concern" Kay said as he look down avoiding Yan Lan's stare directly. Yan Lan had his way of prying open every little secret of his heart even those of which he does not understand.
"Don't let fear settle down - take it and strive hard ahead, you can't control and plan everything accordingly, sometimes you have to take that leap of faith and deal with situation when it comes" Yan Lan said and paused "I know you know what to do but just incase if you are troubled with all the what ifs.... don't... I'm here with you and I want to make sure no one dares come near to harming you in any possible ways" he said looking at Kay
"Yan Lan, I'm more concerned about you...you need to be careful as well. I ... was worried after the incident at your race ...I was desperate to just stop time" Kay stop before saying further as he recalled his dream when he was separate how he thought he was brought back to this place that he could see Yan Lan.
As the time and tide takes their place and both had their fair share of publicity - it became more evident they were the envy of many others. Perhaps they cannot accept that these both are individually equally strong and deserve their right and space in the entertainment world versus looking at it from the lenses that both of them will dominate the industry as partners together. The same concern of how their story unfolded and came into existence was a concern for Kay ...and he knew they have to continue to show that they are as individual as possible publicly yet their commitment were stronger than ever to walk this journey forward together in private.
"Kay...I know in the coming months we will be busy with year end and New Year's activity especially at the start of the year many things that will warrant you to be in the public..." He paused looking deeply into Kay's eyes conveying his own messages through before pushing him down for a passionate kiss again interlocking Kay's hands downwards not letting him fidget. Yan Lan's kiss was filled with unspoken emotions that Kay was overwhelmed in an instance. 'He must be worried ...' Kay thought. At that he let Yan Lan dominate the moment in silent. And when he'd quiet down his move just kissing the outer lips, Yan Lan stopped and took a deep breath before letting his thoughts out while forcing himself to be calm.
"Need you to be okay as I know the crowd can get crazy and with all that's happening I really don't want anything to happen to you"
Kay smiled back gently with his the eyes that spoke of his much he loves Yan Lan back. He touched the concern face gently with his hand and trace the eye brow down to his cheek bones before touching the outer lips "I'll be fine, I love you Yan Lan"
"I'll ask both the aid to follow you like last time - that way I can feel at ease" Yan lan had been wanting to push the idea as he only will feel comforted if the arrangement was as such but he knows Kay wasn't really open to it fearing it might draw more rumours beyond what they can explain
"Ge ..." Yan Lan was adamant on it still given past happenings and incident where Kay was hurt before and the unpredictable actions from some impersonators. At that thought he wasn't comfortable ... his insecurity emerged once again and he bury his face into Kay's shoulder. He breathe into Kay's scent before planting another bite onto his neck "ahhh Yan Lan"
"Let me Kay, I can't be there to protect every step but let me have my people around... please" Yan Lan finally let his thoughts as he hold Kay's hand that's still circling his lips kiss it gently putting it back onto his cheeks.
"Let them be with you okay?"
