Chapter 3 - Your World is About to become a lot bigger

I opened the bus door and I got a warm greeting from my History teacher, Ms. Sallow

"Good Gods!" She yelled as Evan was laying unconscious in my lap. "Okay, we need to get you to camp."

~~~~~~~
Evan was lying on the nurses office bed regaining consciousness while my mind was running wild. Ms. Sallow somehow got the nurse out of the health office just for Evan.
I had so many questions about what happened. First of all, what the heck was that thing? Did it posses the bus driver? Why was it attacking us? How did I run on the wall of the bus?
Ms. Sallow took out a small jar and poured some of what looked like honey into Evan's mouth. 'How is that going to help?' I thought. 'He was almost squeezed to death by an alien.' I didn't say it out loud though, and just kept it to myself.
I stared at the pen Evan gave me and uncapped it. Again it turned into a huge sword made of what looked like gold. Just like a fairy tale. I put the cap back on and it turned back to the bull point pen it once was.
"Ms. Sallow, what is going on?" I asked. You could hear the desperation in my raspy voice pleading for answers. I wanted the answer to be it was just a dream and then I would wake up front his nightmare.
But instead she answered "I told that father of yours to tell you. Well, I guess it is best to tell you now. But first we need to call your father letting you know where you are going."
Evan sat up rubbing his head and looking at me with worry in his eyes. All the memories seemed to be coming back to him. He seemed really disappointed. Not in me, but at himself. "Have you told her yet?"
"Told me what?!" I shouted
"Ms. Smith, lower your voice. We don't want anyone to hear!" Ms. Sallow explained. She started walking out the room to the front desk.
"Will someone tell me what is going on here!" I exclaimed.
"I will explain everything on the way to Camp Red Arrow," Evan answered jumping up from the bed. "We are not safe here now that we were discovered by that Furie."
"That what?" I asked. I felt like an idiot knowing about nothing they were talking about. 'Where was this camp at and how long was I going to be there. It was the middle of September, I couldn't just leave school," I thought.
Ms. Sallow walked back into the room. "I just got off the phone with your father. He is aware that you will be on your way to the camp. Evan if you are ready we will get in my car and I will drive you."
I didn't want to go to a camp. I just wanted to go to class and carry on with my day and forget what happened.
I was completely dazed trying to put together the pieces, but I still couldn't process what was happening. "I am not going anywhere until you tell me what is going on." I said stomping my foot down.
"Monsters are after to you. We don't have time to stay here. We aren't safe." Evan replied.
"No, I need a good answer that actually makes sense." I pleaded.
"Come on," Evan said grabbing my wrist and pulling me out the door to the parking lot with Ms. Sallow following behind us. "I am really sorry I wasn't there to protect to. I was weak and underestimated the power of the monster."
But I don't think that was the case. I think he overestimated the power in me.
"How long will I be at this camp?" I asked.
"You will probably spend the rest of high school there, he responded.
'WHAT?! I thought. 'What about my dad and my friends? Will I come back to visit? Will I ever see them again?' I was probably being over dramatic, but I couldn't help it.
"Don't worry about everyone," he said as if he could read my mind. "They will be fine."
We walked by all the lockers and classrooms. This was my school with all my friends that I have known my whole life. And I was leaving it all behind so I could go to some camp because aliens or furies attacking us.
I didn't want to go, I didn't want this to happen. I wish I could forget this morning. If monsters are real, than shouldn't a memory wipe device be too?
We soon approached the parking lot and Ms. Sallow guided us to her car.
"Your world is about to become a lot bigger," Evan whispered in my ear.
Then we hopped into the car and drove off.
