The whole bus ride to school. I could see the bus driver stare at me with a smirk on his face. 'Pervert' I thought in my head.
Evan was acting really strange, and always shouting dirty looks whenever the driver would look at me through the student mirror.
"Hey, is everything okay. You seem uneasy today." I said.
"I'm fine. Rough morning." He was trying to shorten the answer but it clear he didn't want to talk about it. He was usually never distant like this, but when he was it sucked. He wouldn't talk to me and whenever I would approach him he said he didn't want to talk about it.
I wondered what on at his home. He never wanted to talk about it and never wanted me to come over to his house.
"Right." I gave him a concerning glance but he didn't seem to pay attention to me. He kept looking at the driver like he was studying its every move.
I sat back and looked out the window admiring the small town. It was the exact place you would want to grow up. Everyone knew who everyone was, like one big happy family.

Soon we arrived at the school. I hung one of my backpack straps over my shoulder and sprang up form my seat ready to get some fresh air. Evan grabbed my wrist and tried to drag me off the bus which caught me off guard. Before we were about to leave, the driver stopped us.
" I need the girl to stay here. We have some behavior issues that I need to address. You can go along boy." The driver stated.
"Not a chance," he said with power in his voice.
I was getting confused. Why was Evan trying to be so protective to me. And why did the bus driver want to talk to me? Evan and I were silent almost the entire time.
Evan and the driver stared right into each other's eyes and awkward silence was bestowed upon us.
Evan knew something I didn't, maybe the bus driver was a pedophile. But I could easily kick him or punch him before he could do anything to me.
"Evan, you can go. I will be fine. I can stand my own ground against a bus driver. No offense sir." I argued back breaking the tension.
"You should listen to the girl. Get off my damn bus!" The driver exclaimed.
Still, Evan stood in front of me shielding me from the driver. I tried to push past him but he stood his ground. "I am not going anywhere."
"Okay lad, don't say I didn't warn you!" He said while he started shifting into some sort of gross creature.
I could hear all his bones crack and shift making my gag in disgust. He had fair slimy and oily skin and you should see all his bones. His eyes where solid white with no pupils. Like a human and an alien in one?
I always knew that there was life on another planet, but I never new that they came down to Earth! I was beyond confused and froze into place
Evan pushed me through the isles and tried to free us by opening the door but it was glued shut. "We are corned in!" He shouted.
'No duh!' I thought, but there wasn't time to give him my attitude. My mind wasn't functioning correctly, and I couldn't piece anything together .
The creature started advancing on us and Evan handed me a pen. "Use this!"
"To do what? Write down my last words?" I shouted.
"No, UNCAP IT!" He yelled as the beast picked him up. His razor teeth looked like he was going to bite his head off.
I uncapped the pen and it formed into a sword. 'What the hell, this isn't a Percy Jackson movie!' I thought.
But I had to move fast. That thing was squeezing Evan and he was turning pale. I charged at the creature and ended up running on the wall of the bus landing behind the beast. The I stabbed it straight through the chest while it screamed in agony.
'Oh my God! How did I do that!' I screamed in my head. My reflexes just moved, like someone was controlling me into doing that. I was grateful though, the alien was dead.
He loosened his grip on Evan and he face planted onto the floor. I hovered over him to see how he was doing. He was unconscious, and I checked his pulse just in case. The creature laid lifeless on the seats while I dragged Evan to the front of the bus and attempted to open the door again.
'How am I supposed to explain this to anyone, this is crazy!" I thought.
This time, it opened and I got a warm greeting from my History teacher.
"Good Gods!" She yelled as Evan was sitting unconscious in my lap. "Okay, we need to get you to camp."
