Li Wei was a writer, a incredible writer. But as a writer while he had many fans he also had stalkers. Nothing out of the ordinary, in fact whenever something dangerous happened in his life he would often use it a content for his next novel. And unwittingly this just increased the attempts to find him and his house. He had already moved countless times.
One day Li Wei was walking home to his apartment that he had bought 8 'months ago and had a strange sense of déjà vu. He felt that their was something wrong but he couldn't quite put a finger on it. He walked into his luxury apartment and turned on the light.
Setting his bag down he pulled out his laptop and pulled up the novel he had been writing recently. It was a cultivation novel about a hero who was picked up after bandits destroyed his village and sent to live in a grand sect, named Soaring Sword Sect.
He lived their for 17 years, suffering abuse from his peers and from his senior brother. While he was their he fell in love with a beauty and together they defeated their foes gathering many little brothers and young girls hearts. Then they all teamed up and went to over run the cultivation world and flushed out all the evil people, mercilessly torturing them. And then lived happily ever after. Yay!(not)
Li Wei's favorite part of this story was the torture, after all he loved writing horror story's.
Among the deaths of the characters he made the main story's villains death, the evil senior brother the most gruesome, and some of his best work too. After pulling up the novel he began to type. A unknown amount of time passed and suddenly a loud thump sounded from the room next door. With it the sound of harsh breathing,
'Was someone hiding? But... wasn't that not possible? He locked the door, right?..'
Li Wei pauses his typing, he was currently writing the final chapter of this novel on time, something he rarely did. He finished his sentence with a flourish of his hands writing a 'the end'. He looked cautiously at his room. Pushing down the unexpected unease he hit publish and walked toward the closed door.
He walked in to the room passing a mirror in the hall. Li Wei stoped and glanced in the mirror, he had soot black hair that was usually greased back but at the moment was a fluffy mess. His pale grey eyes were squinting and slightly tilted up. In his reflection he could see the long black eyelashes fanning out, and a lofty but cold smile giving him a air of a agnorant nobleman. His white shirt had the top 2 buttons open showcasing his pale collarbones.
Although Li Wei has plenty of fame and a handsome figure he never dated, but that's mostly due to the fact that he practically never left the house unless at night. He had had his far share of one night stands both with men and woman but none had truly captured his attention.
Turning his attention back to the matter at hand he turned the door knob and stepped into the sideroom.
Suddenly he head rushed footsteps, whirling around he only caught the face of a man smiling madly at him, swinging something at his head before he was flung to the ground, seeing stars.
His head was pounding and his shirt was damp. 'Gosh why am i so sweaty?' he thought. his shirt was soaking wet and smelled odd, it smelled rusty and like…blood? He blinked slowly and tried to move to sit up. His body's limbs were turing numb and shaky making him unable to move. His heart pounding furiously in his ears.
His eyes had a hard time focusing and when they did it landed on the face of a man, who was smiling down at him.
Li Wei was very confused but at the same time he vaguely felt he understood what was going on. 'Oh... so someone broke into my apartment... and it seems like he's a... stalker?Robber?Murder?... hmmm..'
As his thought became more and more sluggish red filled his vision and he blacked out before the shock could settle in.
When he woke up he found himself sitting on a hard wooden chair that was painted gold. His chin resting on his cheek. In his mind he knew he had sat here many times.
The chair was seated near the top of a stage and in front of him were several men kneeling, their Horse voices begging for mercy. "Please senior apprentice Li Wei quell your anger! We know our wrongs, we beg you for mercy!"
As one of the kneeling figure spoke this Li Wei stood and suddenly smiled, his whole face breaking out into a grin, his pearly white teeth showing.
To on lookers it seemed like he was smiling as brilliantly as the sun expect his eyes were frozen, they were so cold that the men kneeling felt there body's go numb, a freezeing chill settling over their body's.
The contrast was so great that after the initial shock the smile seemed to become absolutely sinister. Li Wei spoke, his voice was gental and soft flowing like a stream but the words he spoke were nothing short of ruthless,
"Oh? Your begging for mercy? And why should i agree? Hmm...Oh Wait! Did i get this situation wrong? Did you not commit a horrendous act, all 5 of you? And you have the audacity to kneel in front of me and beg for mercy? I almost want to laugh at your disgusting stupidity!"
As Li Wei spoke his thoughts were whirling, ' I have no idea where i am but, i'm probably in a dream like state? There is this odd feeling... I know these men and this hall but, at the same time i don't? But i really want to punish those men..' Driven by a oddly strong desire to punish these men his thoughts faded into the background... like they were being suppressed.
As he finished his speech he snapped his fingers and the 5 men and himself disappeared. Li Wei didn't find this strange, after all this was his dream his power. In a state like this he could do anything he wanted.
'Perhaps this is a lucid dream? Or no, it was illusion spiritual power, right i am the head deciple.' His thoughts mixed and were unstable.
The men who were kneeling found themselves tied to large wooden stakes driven into the ground. Over there heads was a stone sealing and in front of them were bars, they were in a prison.
And from there on Li Wei tortured them The men spent several days and nights sleepless. Meanwhile on the outside roumers began to spread of Li Weis ruthlessness saying that their Senior brother had snapped and that if you passed the punishment hall you would hear the screams of the poor souls that had offended senior brother and disobeys the Sect.
Other rumors said that senior brother had been possessed by a demon and was torturing the men who had offended the sect because he found it fun. Both rumors had some truth to them and were equally frightening. The sect disciples all made a mental note to never go against their senior brother lest they end up like those 5 men.
