Chapter 6 - 6.) The banquet...sucks

The night of the banquet has arrived.

'Finally! Ahhhh i almost combusted with all the pressure! Oh woe is me! I really just want to go into closed door cultivation!'

It had been 2 days since he decided to go into closed door cultivation, the guest his master the sect master has been waiting for had arrived this morning but he was in no mood to greet them. Besides this many deciples had expressed there worry over his dission to go into closed door cultivation, asking about his story's.

Although he promised to tell another story to them he couldn't exactly say when. Though he would perfe it to happen after he came out of closed doors cultivation in time with when he breaks through this bottle neck and reaches origin core. This decision would hit him hard in the back, and make his future self want to slap himself in the face but that was something he would only come to regret later.

The guest this time were from another Sect called Plumb Blossom mountain. It was a sect mostly dealing with females, spear wielding and artifacts. While The Soaring Sword sect dealed with sabers and double edged swords. Since his spiritual roots were of illusions and not something like lightning he wielded a saber and had the ability to form needles made of condensed SP(spiritual power) that could stop the flow of blood in a body killing them if he aimed for the pressure points in a body.

With in his 5 years of being here in this new world Li Wei had yet to kill any human. This didn't mean he stayed his hand when it came to beasts and small demons though.

Walking away from his comfortable house and courtyard he walked to the main room, right as dusk was arriving. Just in time for the dinner banquet.

Tonight he was wearing dark blue robes lined with silver, his long soot black hair tied with a silver headband that curved upward on the back of his head. In some respect it was a crown since it circled his head, except it had several parts that were bent in a flowing way making it appear much more formal and flashy than it actually was.

After arriving his slowly approached his seat below his masters right side he was his masters sole inner deciple. On his masters level sat the other peak masters, and beside him were the peak masters succeeding deciples.

In the front row sat the guests, it was the succeeding Deciple of the Plumb Blossom sect, Xun Yu. She had Dark brown hair and deep black eyes. She looked cold but with her filled out body, it gave a sense of suduction.

When they met eyes she nodded her head slightly. The other guests were several peak masters from Plumb blossom sect along with several deciples, All female. The rest of the banquet was of no importance so Li Wei pretty much zoned out, something he had prefected over the past few years.

After all besides the title of genius cultivator he was called the laziest deciple. While he looked like he was paying attention his blank gaze gave him away.

Although to those who didn't know him he would appear cold and indifferent. When the formal part of the banquet ended his master invited the guests into one of his sitting rooms to discuss why they came. During the end of the banquet the deciples tried to convince him to tell them a story but he firmly refused, think if he did it would take a long time.

After his master talked with there head deciple they came to a conclusion, but that was only an assumption on Li Weis part. This was because him along with 2 masters from the Plum Blossom sect were standing outside the door the whole time, and were not involved in the conversation.

This assumption was made by the looks on his masters face and the Plum Blossom sects head deciple.

The night was warm as it was during the days when the sun lasted the longest. In the book the protagonist was born on such a night, which was why he was named Xiu Nuan which meant warm, elegant, Beautiful.

While his own name Li Wei meant profitable, greatness and lofty, fitting of his character settings but can also be translated to beautiful rose, spelled LiWei. It was also his nickname, one that was only brought up in the book because it was something that his parents used to call him, Meigui, simply meaning 'rose'.

It was never used outside of his parents and was only mentioned when Li Wei from the book was recalling memories of when he first arrived to the sect.

There was also another meaning behind the name. One that even he didn't know how it happened. While he was writing the book he was drunk one night and ending writing about a secret that Li Wei from the book had.

The secret had to do with the fact that he never bathed with others and refused help with his injuries whenever he got hurt. Adding to the distance already put between others this simply made things worse. That was it, he only needed a good reason, so...At that time he was just looking for a way to drive the villain Li Wei away from the sect even more, and had come up with this idea.

The secret was that Li Wei had a tattoo, to be exact he had a rose vine that was inked on his back near the top of his shoulders, there was one on both side of his back, not on the top of his shoulders but the area beneath them, it stretched across his back and went down like a vines stoping in the area above his elbow on his back.

Both his arms were bare and it was only on his back, but the funny thing was after writing this he forgot to write why Li Wei had this tattoo and how he got it, simply skipping over this in a drunken stupor.

Later he was too lazy to change it and left it be. When he first came here and looked at his body he confirmed that there were no tattoos on his body as of yet and simply decided that he would try to avoid this event so he didn't become more of an outcast that he already was.

But sometimes fate is a funny thing, and after spending 5 years changing the plot he became too relaxed, and let his guard down. Even while he did change some of his fate he didn't change everything. It was during the night, there was a creaking noise and suddenly several black clothed figures entered his bedroom and immediately attacked him. He woke immediately and in a rush staggered out of bed, dressed in lose white pants and long sleeve airy shirt, black hair a mess untied.

Dressed in his under clothes and only a dagger as his saber was lying in another room he began to pary the attackers attacks not minding how his room was suffering from the backlash. While he had memories of fighting demons on the battle from before the 'him' now along with his own experience of fighting with monsters in the forests this was the first time he was in real battle. And in a moment of lack of attention he was struck.

Defending his body with his small dagger he sacrificed his arm and it was hit by the oncoming metal dagger. After another 2 or so minutes of fighting he realized that there was something wrong with his body.
