Chereads / I’m taking a break from being the villain! / Chapter 12 - 12.) Missing?Who me?

Chapter 12 - 12.) Missing?Who me?

Li Wei was sitting unnaturally on a stone seat next to a stone table, starring at the clouds of smoke going up in the air. While burning was better than burying or just leaving his cloths laying around the smoke would definitely attack attention.

Just as the thought passed and loud knocking came from the doors to his courtyard. Fixing his position and stuffing a scent bag into his cloths to hide the bloody smell he waved his hand and unlocked the courtyard bolts, letting in his moody master. His master immediately turned to look at him, his face twisted in a ferocious frown.

'My sitting position is fine, i shouldn't have any blood on my cloths.. why is he looking at me like that?'

While Li Wei had though he had hidden it well his master could easily see the pale skin from lack of sleep and prominent cheekbones from lack of food clearly. Adding to the burning pile of cloths and bamboo mats that were almost completely ash he could tell something had happened.

He walked to Li Wei his face becoming darker and darker. Li Wei had also overlooked the fact that the two had very good understanding of each other. His master knew that he'd never had such a straight sitting posture in his life and he would never wear any sort of perfume sack, unless he had a smell to hide. He knew that Li Wei hated perfume sacks.

"Master, why are you here..?"

Li Wei stiffed even more, his face involuntarily twisting in pain for a moment, he had unintentionally pulled a back muscle. Although he had taken some medicine this was a spiritual carving, it was very painful and very hard to heal. Now his masters face had turned completely black, although no words were said the silent pressure coming off him made Li Wei feel like he should immediately confess. He felt that if he didn't confess something bad would happen and he would regret it.

'But, how am i supposed to explain this?
What if he gets mad and does something?...Mad? Don't kid yourself Li Wei, would he even care? After the protagonist showed up he completely looked over Li Wei, he wanted a powerful deciple. If he finds out you lost your first 'real' battle was schemed against and got into such a bad situation surely he will condemn you.'

Li Wei had been trying to get closer to others in this new world but at the same time he had shut his heart even tighter because he knew that if he played it wrong then he'd end up dead and betrayed.

His master suddenly opened his mouth, he had been watching Li Weis face and had gotten a idea of where Li Weis thought were headed, and he disliked the direction very much.
He had sounded out Li Wei and had come up with the conclusion that Li Wei didn't really trust any of them, perhaps the sect as a whole. And while he had relaxed in the recent year he never really thought of succeeding him.

Li Wei seemed to think that the other deciples disliked him too, though he had yet to figure out why. He had thought that spending more time with Li Wei would make him open his heart but suddenly Li Wei had asked to go into closed door cultivation.

"Meigui."

It was a simple word but it caused a huge reaction. Li Wei immediately started to move upward but his face twisted in pain and he toppled forward.
The movement too quick for his wounds.
He had been about to shout at his master and ask him how he knew that name when he reopened one of his wounds. Falling forward, he fell right into his masters arms, panting with his head spinning.

'Damn this spiritual wound is way worse than i thought…'Li Wei grimaced his head still spinning.

He had spent 6 days without food or water, had lost too much blood and had gotten too little sleep, not to mention he had too he tired to eat last night his current condition was very bad. Immediately after he fell his master spotted the blood quickly soaking through his cloths. Picking up Li Wei sideways with a hand under his butt he carried him like a baby koala into his room.

He noticed the torn up bamboo mats and other signs of fighting that Li Wei hadn't finished cleaning up along and bloody water buckets.

"Meigui, is this why you haven't come down to see off our guest or answered any of my letters? Where have you been?" He voice was low and the tone was deep. It bordered on a odd dangerous anger but Li Wei was too out of it to notice.

As he spoke he waved his hand and dumped out the blood water replacing it with clean water. His spiritual power was water, this ment ice and gas too, he was formidable on the battlefield because he had a secret technique that aloud him to control humans too, thanks to the water inside the blood in the human body.

Li Weis head was still spinning but he could sense that his masters mood was very wrong and finally fessed up.

"A-attacked... huff,ugh... and captured, made.. a deal to help make the other captors free and myself... i had no spiritual power so it, it took a while to get back. I got here last night, i was in a rush and didnt want anyone to see the blood."

It was a lie. He hadn't trusted anyone in the sect to see his back. He was very on edge because of the protagonists arrival. And his master knew it too, at least that Li Wei hadn't trusted him enough to ask for him to help him, and it hurt.

Li Wei had begun to bite his lip again, before he could draw blood from his worry his master pulled his face back and forced the two to make eye contact.

"Meigui, i am not mad at you. Actually…that's a lie, i wish you had come to me, i wish that the first thing you had thought of was to go to your master. I want you to stop pushing me out, you are my deciple as well as someone who will take over the sect in the future, you need to trust me and i need to trust you."

Li Wei still hadn't recovered from the fact that his master knew his nick name and the fact that his master was confessing his feeling so openly like this. It was very different from what he had imagined what would happen in the future.

Qiang could easily see the emotions that had broken through his guarded silver eyes because of exhaustion and confusion.
Li Wei usually didn't showcase much emotion so this was something new to him. He liked it. He liked it very much. Before Qiang could think further Li Wei had finally spoken,

"How do you know that name?"

After Li Wei spoke Qiang Lu, Li Wei's master, sat down on the bed side and slowly began to peel off Li Wei robes, careful not to accidentally hurt him.

"Well i heard it from your mother, when the two of you were talking i was outside the door and i accidentally heard it."

"Ah! My robes!"

Li Wei eyes opened wide and he suddenly realized that he was sitting on his masters lap, laying like a octopus all spread out while he master was sneakily taking off his robes.
Somehow his thought had wandered when his master had grabbed his face and he had been too busy gazing at his masters face to notice his cloths being taken off.

Qiang Lu, his master, had dark brown hair that was tied up in a hair crown at the moment. He was dressed in light blue robes and his sword eyebrows were twisted in concern. He had honey light brown eyes that were tilted up at the edge so when he squinted his eyes it looked like a cat. He suddenly came back the moment he felt cold air on his back and realized that his master was taking off his robes and had already seen the bandages on his chest.

"Master! Master it's fine, stop don't, arggg..."

Another moan made its way out and had him bighting his lips, enduring. His master suddenly froze before directly ripping off Li Wei's cloths, this time with a sense of urgency.

"Li Wei! What in the heavens is on your back!!"

This was the first time that his master had called his name today, it seemed that he could sense the powerful spiritual power radiating from his back. Before Li Wei could tell him to stop Qiang reached out his spiritual power and gently touches Li Weis back.

"No! It rejects any power-gasp!"

Li Wei only had time to pant out that sentence before he suddenly blacked out. A burning pain spreading throughout his body. It seemed to be telling Li Wei that any tampering with the carving from the blades would result in a punishment. The pain was much worse than when he had gotten the tattoo. Just like what his aunt had said.
