Chapter 9 - 9.) Tattoo

"This is a good choice if u want it to be unseen!"

"Now then, i will explain a bit, Shi add a sound barrier."

With a odd noise the room around them became silent, the muffled groans from the deciples were no longer heard. Li Wei was alone with his aunt.

"This contract, what are the effects? And what do you want from me?"

"Hmmm, well let's just say i'm not a good person and i need something from a secret realm that's i'll be opening soon. To be precise in.... around 1 year. It's probably something that everyone in the martial society knows about, The Golden gate."

"....!You, You want the tiger seal?!"

Suddenly Li Wei made a connection, among the treasures that Li Wei had gotten in the book from the Golden Gate realm was the tiger seal, something that had the power to temporarily seal a cultivators power making them a regular human, if you wore it on your person then it would prevent all spiritual power in, including what's in your body and what's around you.

Meaning spiritual power wouldn't work on you but regular weapons would, it's good and bad. In the story he had written that Li Wei had it but he had only written it in passing and never brought it up again, perhaps this is the worlds way of filling in the blanks?

'Could this be the reason that the Shi mountain bandits became so powerful?'

"Haha, you actually read my mind! I'm sure many will be looking for it. If you agree to my terms you must not say anything about this encounter and get me that seal.

Now then, about the effects, i'll tell you because your my sisters child, while i wasn't close with her and i disagreed with her in many ways i still held some emotions for her, even while it had only been hate."

Li Wei stiffened, while he had written that there was a tattoo on Li Weis back he had practically forgotten about it. Not to mention that this world was now changing from the novel he had written, and there many things that he didn't know about.

"The contract is symbolized after your ego, which means that your contract mark will show up as your name. Your ego is you, and you are made by your name."

'Ahhhhh! So it really is when he got his tattoo! Shit will it hurt? Should i try to run? Will me making this contract make something from the book change? I'm not the Li Wei of the book, what decision would he make? I wrote none of this in the book! Shit!'

For the 2nd time since he arrived in this world Li Wei panicked. The first was when he met the protagonist, and now this.

It had dawned on him that there were many things that he hadn't written in his book that were happing here. This just served as a major reminder that these were all people. And all people have there own story's. It's not just written from the protagonists point of veiw.

Li Wei had a backstory too. His aunt in front of him has one as well.

"Hah..hahah..."

'To think i would learn a life lesson here!'

"Humph, i don't think this is something to be laughing about Li Wei, or should i call you, Meigui?"

"!"

Li Wei willed his head up. Although he had done many things considered outside of Li Weis character from the book, like telling story's this was the first time he had truly OOCd. Unlike the villain in the story who schemed behind kind words always putting up a facade until the last moment no matter what, he was the kind of person to make bloody personal threats, and then act on them. Very straightforward and brutal.

"Say one more word and even if i don't have any spiritual power i will rip your tongue out."

He eyes seemed to become a cold and dark murky

silver, it was a little unnerving. His rage was overwhelming, and the deciples outside all shrunk subconsciously. While Li Wei didn't have his spiritual power his own aura was very strong.

"You have no right to call me that."

"Hahah, i remember that my sister called you that, when was it? Hmm? Oh right. On her death bed, i mean she died from protecting you and everything, it would make sense if you hated that i called you it."

"Just give me the damn contract mark."

"Oh my! To think you would say such emotionally words, Shi help him out wouldn't you?"

He was making a bet here, a bad habit of his from his previous life.

He was betting on the fact that he had written Li Wei getting the Tiger seal and the fact that nothing happened to him. This also meant he had a strong chance of getting out of this place in one piece along with, he hoped, these deciples.

Suddenly Li Wei was pinned down, both arms were suddenly held down by an invisible force.

'Solid spiritual force!'

It was something only those at origin core 2 or above could do, manifest spiritual power outside there body. It's very hard to control it when you can't see it.

Li Wei was surprised, Shi, the big scar man was already at least Origin core stage 2.

Though Li Wei doubted that Shi could actually make it to Origin core 3 by the time that he reached core formation 2. If he went into core formation soon then he would be at stage 1, and if he went into closed door cultivation he could make it to upper stage 2 at least. This would give him a small chance, but he would also need to increase his actual combat experience. Which he had no doubt that this scar man had more.

As he thought this his aunt opened the box, reveling what appeared to be a set of knives, and around each knife were odd beads that helped suppress the knives spiritual power, making the power concentrate on its tip. Even if his power was currently sealed it didn't mean that he was any less sensitive to how spiritual power moved.

"If you touch me with those knives much less carved up my skin i might die."

Li Wei made eye contact with his aunt just as she smiled.

"If you can survive i'll let you out of here with your friends per our deal and when the time comes to enter the Golden Gate you just have to get me the tiger seal and i will remove the spiritual power from the marking and it will just become a regular marking."

"Huh?! I have to have this in my back forever?!"

Ignoring his startled voice she continued unaffected,

"If you fail to complete the mission even i don't know what will happen to you. I'm making a gamble, weather it'll be big consequences or just something simple. Though i don't think you would want to risk it."

Her bright red lips stretched in a wide smile, her eyes focused downwards on Li Weis face, mocking held in her eyes.

"You know i wish you had chosen your face, at least then i could have ruined the face that looks so similar to your mothers...It makes me hate you more."

As she finished her sentence Shi pulled out the knives and ripped the top of Li Weis dirty under cloths off, exposing pale thinly muscular shoulders. His body probably smelled and the skin probably didn't look any better from spending 2 or more days in a dirty cell.

Suddenly a piercing pain made him utter out a ineligible noise, part surprise and part pain.

He turned his head towards the 6 deciples who were still kneeling tied up on the ground. There eyes were all stretched wide as they watched him being held down and stabbed with a highly concentrated spiritual power while in very bad state. In there minds they knew it was very lethal. That he would die if he failed to keep the spiritual power entering him under control.

"Get,ugr...get them out of..huff, huff, huff, here.." His breathing was disorderd and the pain was making his eyes water, if he had his own spiritual power than he would at least be able to refuse the spiritual power that was forcibly being carved into his skin. But he didn't. If he had his spiritual power it wouldn't hurt as much, but because his spiritual routs were blocked and he was locked to the table bent over, there wasn't much he could do except grit his teeth.

'Man, is this what it feels like to get a tattoo? Probably not but, arggg shit! It hurts!'

By now his aunt had removed the sound barrier and he could hear the deciples struggle.

'Ahhhh, shit i'd don't want them to see this, geez where did the cool and cold looking senior brother go? I wonder how bad my reputation is going to be by the time i get back to the sect...'

Forcing his head up he made eye contact with his aunt, he face saying bloody murder hie eyes red with anger.

"Here i am, my flesh being carved up in a body that has all spiritual power blocked, a mortal.

Did you want to see me suffer in pain? Taking your anger for my mother out on me? Shameless..Agrh!"

She had slammed his head down into the wooden table below him her words cold,

"Yes, so what? Any way you'll fulfill your end of the contract so i'll fulfill mine. Send them out."

With this order several men dressed his black, the people who Li Wei assumed were the ones who captured him came out of the shadows, forcing the deciples up and towards the door.

"Haha, Li Wei, look, there stopping for you! Humph, why don't you explain the situation?"

Lifting his head off the table he could feel the blood spilling down from his forehead that had been smashed into the table, he couldn't look behind him where the door was because of where his body was facing, but he could hear

the footsteps had stopped.

"Go, get out of here, if you don't than we all die here. Once you get out don't say a word to anyone, and immediately return to the sect. If you don't leave now than you won't have a choice to leave later. I'll be set free soon, take this chance to leave safely."

The suffling of footsteps resumed and the door finally closed,

"Arggh!"

A moan spilled from his lips despite his intentions.

Li Wei bit down in his lip immediately drawing blood. It hurt too much not to say anything.

Swiveling his eyes upward he watched as his aunt glanced at him and left, saying her orders as she cloed the door.

"Shi, once your done the spiritual power will immediately settle and the contract will be over. Once that happens throw him out, no need to do anything else. If he can still walk after this i'll be surprised, after all that backlash will definitely feel worse than when it's being carved, hahah!"

The door shut with a bang and they was alone.

Shi made no noise and all Li Wei could feel was his rough hands holding the knives tracing a design on his back.

He held back his muffled groans by trying to focus on so something else. He could feel the blood spilling slowly down his back mixing with his sweat, stinging as it mixed in with the carved designs.
