Chapter 3 - 3.) 5 years later...

Like Li Wei had planned his position in the sect became very stable and he used the knowledge from his previous life of writing the book and there research he remembered from his other story's to speed up his cultivation.

Their were 7 stages of cultivation, Body tempering, Core formation, Origin core, Nascent soul, Saint rudiment, Heavenly celestial, Half god, and then descending into immortality.

Each stage had 5 steps and each step was harder to pass then the previous ones so hardly anyone ascended into immortality. Currently Li Wei was 23 and about to beak through Core formation 5th stage.

This made him who was already considered a genius even more of a genius.

But Li Wei didn't bask in the glow of this title trying to gain connections or materials and instead he took things easy. Which was a polite way of saying he was lazy.

Over the past 5 years he had developed a reputation of being incredibly hardworking when he wanted to be and very lazy when he wasn't going through stages.

He also had a very good relationship with the disciples of the soaring sword sect. And the respect of his master the sect head so nobody made it through the gates when they wanted to make trouble.

Because Li Wei was a writer in his previous life he wanted to tell others story's so he made a plan.

Whenever he finshed leveling up he would tell a story to the disciples under his masters name and those who lived in nearby peaks, including inner and outer disciples.

While this sounds very odd, in the mortal world he already had a reputation and was a writer held in high regard. After all he published books often. Thanks to that he had plenty of shops and actually was very well off. Whenever he passed a stage his accomplishments would spread like wild fire throughout the sect and disciples would beg their masters for a day off. It was only a few steps away from becoming a tradition.

The day after he passed through a stage he would walk to a courtyard where disciples would use to relax and talk with fellow disciples. Both the inner and outer disciples could come here so it was a good spot if he wanted the story to be appreciated by everyone.

Although deciples went to the mortal world they didn't go into book stores so these story's were very entertaining.

So the morning after he completed his stage he would dress in all white for a visual impact and when he arrived the disciples would already be crowded into the huge courtyard. Which as the years had passed had been modified to fit almost all the disciples under the sect master.

The disciples would sit on stones or at tables, they would sit in the trees and on the ground, they sat on the courtyard walls too. When Li Wei would arrive almost all the disciples of soaring sword sect under his master had gathered. It was becoming tradition.

He would amplify his voice using his spiritual power so all could hear as long as they sat in or near the courtyard walls.

He would rise off the ground and into the air cross his legs and begin his story. When he spoke he would slowly gather spiritual power within his body and using his mind he would creat images to go along with his story's. It was another way to practice control over his illusions. It was like a movie but the images were made of spiritual power that had been compressed by his mind into shapes and then made them move.

What was shocking was the fact that this method was used to create illusions and traps for the mind not be used for story telling, and instead driving others insane but all disciples conveniently forget this fact as they watch his shows.

Besides being a amazing story teller the fact that he can easily creat these illusions while floating in the air and to do it for such a long is simply stunning. After all the illusion spiritual roots were very hard to cultivate and the shock doubles when people find out that he's only 23!

And so on the fateful day that he successfully breaks through to Core formation 4 and into the 5 stage of Core formation , there is already a huge fuss over what story Li Wei is going to tell.

The first year that Li Wei told his story it was a action story, one of dangers, death and revenge specifically told to gather attention.

The second story was a mystery. It had romance and cheating and the death of a loved one. This caused many disciples to become hooked.

The 3 story was based on the cultivation world hooking even more disciples, it was this year that they expanded the court yard so that almost all the disciples of the inner and outer could fit.

Of course this wasn't the whole sect but simply the disciples that had been picked up by the sect master and the disciples who lived on the nearby peaks. But the reputation had already spread so other sects knew of this genius disciple Li Wei.

The fourth story was a horror story that sent disciples into a frenzy, it involved a sacrifice who escaped from evil spirt summoners and the story of his revenge. It gave almost all the disciples nightmares and many couldn't get a goods night rest for a long time, but still they were hooked.

Finally it was the fifth year. Li Wei had decided to tell his own story. Or at least the story of the future that he had wrote in his previous world. When he stepped into the courtyard instantly there was a hush over the chattering disciples. With Li Wei's flowing white gowns and handsome face that had lost all baby fat it made people want to look twice. He really deserved to be there most famous deciple! After entering the courtyard he began to tell his story.

He had decided that he would tell the story from the villains point of veiw, so it would give the disciples different feelings, they would sympathize and pity the villain but they would know that the actions the villain took were bad so when the protagonist AKA hero came and defeated him they would know it was for the better.

And so he began, he started with the brutal massacre of the villains village, of the villains pain sitting in a village wash red with blood trying to wake his dead parents.

He told of the hope that the villain was given when becoming a sect master direct disciple. Then he told of the lost and lonely feelings the villain felt when he lived in the sect even while having immense talent. He told of the villains hate for the hero. He told of the hero's background and how the hero did things after coming to the sect that the villain veiwed as bad. In fact these actions were blameless but the villain could not get over his own jealousy at the young boys treatment. He told the disciples of the huge amount of jealousy that clouded the villains mind.

He told of the bullying and pain that the villain made the hero go though. He told them of the mistakes that the hero made and how becaus of his status and the freindship the way others turned a blind eye saying it was justified, all except the villain. He told of the hero's love and of the hero's plans to kill the villain.

By now the disciples hearts were aching for the villain although they knew he had done bad things. Meanwhile they began to hate the hero, although the villain did bad things he had a reason although the hero had his own reasons it felt like it was hardly anything compared to the villains.

So whenever he made a mistake they secretly cursed in their minds. When Li Wei told of the hero's plan to over take the martial world the disciples flew into a rage.

'What right does the hero have to think such thought?! And after all he's done too! Even if it is the right thing to do his actions are also hurting innocent!'

When he told of the gruesome deaths all the people who bullied the hero were given the disciples began to fear for the villain. The villain who after growing up realized his actions created a monster and was in a lot of regret and pain.

Li Wei told the disciples of the villains secret plan to save the people who were innocent by turning himself in. Then he told them of the villains torture that he suffered at the hands of the hero. He told them of the villains ally's saving all the innocent people and of the hero's satisfaction with the villains pain.

When the Villain died the disciples began to cry freely, their chest stuffy. When Li Wei told of the hero's path to taking over the sect he told them how the hero's power helped many people especially those who had suffered because of the hero's plans. When this was told it gave the disciples mixed feelings, the fact that the hero knew the plans he made involved hurting innocents he still went through with them was a bad thing.

Especially how he was counting on the fact that the villain wouldn't let the innocent suffer and turn himself in. Which meant that the hero knew that the villain wasn't a bad man but still wanted to hurt the villain and the innocent. Especially the part about how once the hero got what he wanted he helped the innocent, it left a sour aftertaste.

Finally Li Wei told them of the hero and his lover living happily taking over the cultivation world making a new era and bringing peace once again to the immortal sects. Even though all of it came with great cost making many suffer, and a lot of the reasons started because of the feud between the hero and villain. But the people who simply looked on and did nothing we're to blame as well.

Li Wei spoke theses things in such a way so that it was made clear that the reason the sect were thrown into disarray was because of the hero's actions so this action of bringing peace to the sects could be seen as cleaning up his own mess.

When Li Wei finished the story disciples were very confused, thinking to themselves

'who was the good person and who was the bad?'

Because of the villains pain and the way he was raised the fact that he bullied the hero was something that they had understood but also knew that the villain shouldn't have given into that jealousy.

So when the hero retaliated they were happy but also sad because when the hero retaliated he did so pushing others issues to the back of his mind and did many bad things making the villain to hate him more and to luer the villain into a trap that lead to his miserable death.

They disliked the hero's way of solely focusing on revenge not think of the consequences it would have on the cultivation world and innocent. They sympathized with the villain who when he realized that he past actions caused him to make the hero into this monster and when he drowned in regret. But they also understood that the villains action in the begins were bad, causing the pain the villain felt to also happen to the hero. Making the hero become very twisted. In the end they still couldn't figure out who was wrong and who was right.

Li Wei sat in the air and when his feet finally touched the ground a disciples called out,

" Senior brother! Who was the good one and who was the bad one?"

Li Wei's usual smile wasn't in his face and his eyes held grieving pain and sadness, the disciples who were close saw this and were shocked. Li Wei closes his eyes filled with pain and said,

"This is a fact that you must figure out yourself, but i will tell you my opinion."

With that sentence Li Wei's eyes closed before snaping open,

"In my story's nobody was ever wholly a good person, a hero, and no one was wholly a bad person, a villain."

He eyes swept the crowd with a seriousness to them that made the disciples pay their utmost attention to him and his words. They hold his words with as much respect as they did there teachers.

"This story has many ups and downs and the characters wore many masks but in the end their actions showed their true self, let me leave you with these words,

'words are thing that can't be erased once they are said, actions are things that can't be erased once they have been done. Every action has an equal reaction. '

You must always be awhere of theses facts. You are all young you don't yet know how small words and actions can become such big things. It is very important to be able to forgive and make up. But thsi doesn't necessarily mean to forget. The boundaries between forgiveness and not forgiving is something to decide for yourself."

He continued his face now firm and stern,

"In the story the villains bullying molded the hero to become set on revenge and ignoring innocents, and the bandits actions of massacring the village and the sects lack of attention to the villain shaped the villain into a cold and lonely young man who could not express himself. Hence taking it out in the hero.It was a very bad circle."

"Neither were wholly in the wrong or right, they were simply human." With those words Li Wei left silence in his wake.
