Chapter 15 - Dragon Age Part 14 Circle Days

Heading inside felt just slightly wrong. The voices echoing in the place was quite something to the least. But the quest were as well. Save a lot of people from complete corruption. It was enough do-gooder work to make Thrasher's teeth itch slightly.

Groans and creaking of slights howls caused Icy to become jumpy. She did not like demons per se. A bad run in with a few did that to her.

"If they are all possessed, I say we just blast the place and rebuild." Icy said briskly. Thrasher just chuckled but Wynne flinched. "This circle looks nice from the outside. But the report from the mages, and the Templars, and what we have seen begs that death would be better. Then the mage Jowan, another idiot that gave in."

"Hehe, we will deal with the rampant and destructive mages Icy." Thrasher walked up to the side of her. A simple pat on the shoulder to console. "Suffer not the maldectuim for the weak. I will kill the corrupt with my own hands if I must."

"You sound like the zealot Templars." Wynne said slightly accusing. "The Knight Commander said you worked with them once before. A very dangerous sort that killed a lot of.."

"Abominations. Fully changed and taken over mages." Thrasher said as he and Icy walked. Checking rooms as they moved. A few books snatched by Icy outright. "The weak little gutters snipes. The trash. True mages that value their humanity would take their lives instead. Not let inside. Not give in." His eyes flashed with a bit of hatred.

"What do you know of mages plight?" Wynne caught up see his face a little more. "You are no mage from what I have seen so far. Just a few.."

*Flicker!* The armor changed to robes and leathers. Icy eyes looked on approvingly. Thrasher allowed his magic just to wash out. The clothing of an Arcane Mage suited him quite well.

"You are a mage!" Wynne said shocked. "It was not armor like the rumors said. Yet you walk completely free and uncontested. Even have respect and fear amongst the Templars. This is unheard of."

"Nah, you just have not heard o fit. Enough strength, enough power, and a and influence a lot of "mages" as you put could do this." Thrasher moved to a book shelf and stopped to grab a book. it was information tied to a quest in the tower. Information on a Eleni Zinovia to deal with. "Eleni statue, where is it?"

"Why?"

"Because a person spirit is actually inside there. I plan to free it." Thrasher moved forward to continue on. Magic still pouring out moving along the tower. A purple green glow touching things. Wynne kept an eye on him as they moved. Unaware each time they entered a new area, a few books disappeared in the passing area. "Tied to something or another. Didn't really pay attention to why I need the individual."

"It has been apart of the Circle for a long time. You can not just remove the statue." Wynne admonished. Wanting to not let the statue to leave fro various reasons.

"I will not remove the statue. Just the spirit. The individual did not deserve that treatment." Thrasher said simply. His eyes looking her over. "As well as the spirit attached to you does not deserve that fate."

Wynne stepped back slightly taken back. So focused on Thrasher, she didn't notice Icy had fallen behind her till it was to late. Two ice hands gripped Wynne, freezing her instantly.

As they did that, a female Mage was behind a stature hiding. She kept quiet waiting for the first chance to make a move to help her teacher.

"I rather you not fight what we are about to do. It is annoying as all get out." Thrasher touched her face, enjoying the look of disgust in her eyes. "A fire in your eyes, beautiful. You will need it. "So, your son is alive and doing well as a mage. Really dapper one at that. Kind of like you."

*Pulse!* Ice markings formed on Wynne's skin. Icy's fingers scratching along the surface through the clothes. Itched under the skin and poking the bones. Slight tears flowing down Wynne's cheeks.

The process was extremely painful for the old mage. Would have been worst if she resisted.

*Pulse!* Another wave of markings appeared over Wynne. This time all by Thrasher. His left hand glowing purple as he removed the Spirit within her. The Spirit of Faith that healed her and technically possessed her was a wispy little thing.

'No.. she was possessed all this time?' The hidden student questioned. Fear racking her body from launching forward. Seeing as Thrasher's other hand glowed bright with light, she was confused about what was going on even further. 'It feels so warm! What is he doing to her!?'

Startled, the mage started to try and sneak forward. Which gave her position away to Thrasher who didn't even bother with her. Up until a quest popped up.

"Hmm, ok." Thrasher took it. Slightly amused by it actually. 'I did not know they had kin here. It would be a treat to see their faces anyway.' Grabbing hold of the Spirit of Faith, and inserting a Common Pull inside it boosted it's soul with the raw energy. "Behave now."

"Yes." The Spirit of Faith said in a whimper. The silhouette of its body looking a little like Wynne's. Both because of what happened and the ritual that just was done. "You will save her yes?" The kindness the creature showed, definitely caused Thrasher to reassess the creature. As well as Icy.

"I will." A few cast of magic had Wynne restored physically back to what she was before. Especially with the spores, Thrasher embedded inside her. "If you follow me Wynne, I can show you a lot more that you will need to elevate your fears. In either direction anyway. Oh, as well as the Secret to how to fix the Tranquil."

*Pack!* The ice was shattered by Icy. Wynne fell to her knees. Arms checking over the markings on her. Several lines itched on her that pulsed with her magic.

"What did you do to me!?" Wynne looked in both fury but also awe. She felt strong and powerful. Old wounds removed and fatigue from old age gone. Rallying her magic to attack made her freak out. "Ahhh!" A blast of spirit magic flew out. Hitting a wall. "My control.. that was to easy."

"Right, part of what happened to you. Before the Spirit would turn to weak from what it did to you, I removed it. Since despite all your understanding of it, you weakened it as well. Every bit of doubt over your life caused it to weaken. Like with your son and that lover of yours. As well as the Chantry stealing him from you."

"I.. did regret what happened. And the Chantry choice just to snatch my son from me!" Wynne said with some bitterness. Her hands gripping tightly in frustration. The memory coming in completely clear. "A bit of me wants them to pay. After all, I did for the Chantry. All the work."

"Haaa, I understand." Thrasher said actually kindly. He squatted down to get eye level with her. "You can hit me if it makes you feel better yah know?" Wynne gave him a smack. Directly across the face. "Nice."

Health -5

"You deserve more. As well as less." Wynne said confused really. Her emotions finally settling down more. The spirit of Faith was with Icy. Dragging a young mage over half frozen. "I see force is a very common thing for you." A slight troubling look was on her face.

"Oh yeah. Bit of a tyrant." Thrasher grinned. He moved over to the young mage. "Hi, you are an Amell. Are you not?"

"How the hell do you know that?" The young mage pulled free of the spirit and of Icy. Icy not really caring to much since she could kill the mage with ease. "What the hell did you do to her anyway?"

"Heal her in a painful way. And remove the spirit from in her." Thrasher grabbed the spirit of Faith. "You are going to need a place to stay for awhile. Not letting you go back to the Fade obviously. need you for a few things."

"To heal the Tranquil." The Spirit of Faith understood. It moved around Thrasher and settled on his neck. Etchings and markings flaring for a brief second before disappearing. "I can get stronger by being attached to you Warchief. Such a powerful light you have."

"Uh huh." Thrasher was thinking of sealing it in a weapon or something but this was whatever. He could feel his magic changing a bit due to it. A little knowledge trickling in. "Well, a good 10 minutes gone from that. Time to move. Oh," he looked at the Amell mage. "What the hell is your first name?"

"Revka. Named after mother. Father changed our names when we left Kirkwall. Can not actually remember my birth name. Or that of my siblings." Revka said a little upset. "Have know idea if my siblings are alive still. The Templars scattered us about. The Chantry saying it was for the best after we were all caught."

"Chantry is really shitty." Icy said. A bit of hatred in her voice. "We are changing that crap. Before the war starts. If we are lucky anyway. Mages have enough trouble as it is. Need to get all of them branded to keep the magic in check."

"Yup. And the criminal are getting their magic removed altogether." Thrasher moved forward. Magic dancing around his fingertips. "Right now, time to purge the tower of these creatures."

Several shadows started to move. Drawn to them by Thrasher's use of magic. All of them honing on him. Thrasher had a feral grin on his face as he charged at them. He was going to pummel the creatures to death.

Icy stopped the other two from getting involved. Not wanting them to get in the way of his fun. She rather converses with the two about what is going on in the tower. Especially with Revka having been inside for so long.

"Grab her hands Wynne." Icy ordered. She received a weird look from that. "Those markings will also help to reveal those possessed. A twisted glow filled with black will reveal it to you. It will also feel wrong in away."

"No problem." Revka grabbed Wynne actually. Knowing she was perfetly fine. Wynne's hands glowed clear. A sign that she was fine. "I am good right?"

"Yes." Wynne said softly. Her eyes shining with spirit magic. A bit of the last few days flashing of what Revka dealt with. "This will take getting use to." She was defintely up to the challenge. Especially with the Operator actually moving things to make her Follower. Just having Icy doing it instead of Thrasher.

As they moved about and caused mischief, another group entered as well. Elissa couldn't help herself. She and the other Wardens moved in to help. Not wanting the place to become a blood bath.

Supringsly Tracker did not try to stop them. He followed along to experience what was going on himself. Thrasher told him before hand the chance of entering the Fade was strong. An experience that would be more than a new experience for him.
