In a world where conflict never seems to stop, there was a battle between two regions raging across the open plains.
It was a dark a cloudy day, and the lands were still being littered with bodies, piling to the point where one's foot could sink to their knees.
Sona took some time to think, as she turns her head side to side and looked around her, seeing the surroundings while laying along with her fellow comrades and enemies.
She was pierced by a recent volley of arrows during a retreat signal, she didn't have any strength left to focus on defense because her manna was depleted. But in the end, it felt somewhat peaceful yet cold.
Demacian troops still charging forward with their dominating valor, and this might is no laughing matter, even when outnumbered, its still an amazing sight to witness. The pride of Demacia was something that the people there treated seriously, and must never be underestimated.
Her long and beautiful blue hair caught hold of the wind and flowed west where the capital of her region was.
But sadly Sona sighed, knowing she would not be around to see her people triumph this Battle or even future battles.
In her last moments, she found it funny that she finally died. If people from runeterra heard her thoughts, they would be confused because it was only natural that people die as they reach towards the ends of their lives, in accidents, and even warfare, so why telling herself that she finally has fallen, heck she was still young.
But of course, there are some people that would agree with her, as well find it funny when they too eventually die. These people were like Sona, they were Champions.
Champions are people that were chosen to be part of this competition called the league of legends. This League is viewed as a glorious battlefield between champions who was the best of the best… at least that what the champions thought.
Sona was an orphan who was found on the doorsteps at an orphanage in Ionia; next to her was a magical string instrument similar to a guzheng that was left with her. She was adopted by a person from Demacia and taught in the ways of music. Her string instrument, which her adopted mother and teacher Lestara Buvelle called it 'etwahl'.
Her musical performances were breathtaking, playing tones that we're able to quiver and still a person's heart. It can be said that it was captivating or even manipulating. But that was not her only power, she to had found a more deadly use of her music, that is her musical vibrations being able to slice objects.
As she progressed in private, she felt there was only one place that was fitting for her recital, the League of Legends. The League its self does not affect their realm in which they live, rather a mental plain which brings them to an arena.
The ability to compete in front of an audience to find out who is the best of the best was a fascinating idea, and many were excited, but...
In reality, the league was nothing more than a battlefield with wars that never seems to end. Mineless, frustrating; hell… It was more torture than anything else, because, when they reach the battlefield, they were not the ones in control!
The stranges part, is when we go to battle in the league, time just seems to flow normally as if it never even happened, a strange feeling really, one you're doing something, but at the same time you doing another thing in a far distant land, makings things go against logic. You can't even die because you would always come back after a certain amount of time, the feelings of hell and back again was painful.
Though Sona had her fair share of misery, there were moments she could not help but be grateful. "Summoner" she cried out in her mind as she coughed out blood. There was one so-called match where she could not help but remember. There was a summoner that made her strong, domineering, or even legendary,
When Sona first entered the league, she was somehow able to communicate to those who controlled her into battle, she called them summoners. Every battle the champions took part in were often not controlled by the same summoner, they are a massive bunch.
Sona felt weak as if those summoners that controlling her are too passive or even weak, making her completely helpless against the enemy. But there was only one who made a difference, using her in a way she felt was herself. The aggressive burst of power over her enemies, believing this was her niche in the league, making those appreciate her music as well as fear.
It felt good.
Now that her time was up, her glory that she felt that possibly awaited for her would only become a distant memory. Her 'etwahl' risen off the ground and came to her, with the last bit of strength she raised her hand and it fell on top of the strings plucking them as her hand fell back to earth.
The sound it made felt as if someone smashed their face on a piano.
"I didn't have the time so say goodbye," Sona thought while she repeatedly wanted to say them out loud knowing that she can't. She was mute after all. Her eyes finally closed and everything turned black.
It was cold, in her head, she could somewhat see herself in an empty space, and the world seemed to turn grey.
And then there Silence…
...
"Where am I?"

Note: Riot Games modified the lore a bit making "League of legends" a not existing place. Here are the links of both, they are the same but the endings changed being the original lore that "League of Legends exist" They are both pretty much the same, just the last sentence changed.
