Mr. Clark wasted no time getting attendance done, they were already behind schedule and he did not want to waste any more time.
As Mr. Clark was teaching his season about Sequences and Series, the rest of the class were having something else bothering them in their mind, "Was this the cold-hearted empress of a local gang they knew?"
It's funny that her classmates know who she was but the people on the bus don't, and if they knew about this fact Sona bet their eyes would look like they were about to fall off their sockets.
In all honesty, she hopes that her past doesn't cause her to much trouble and just move on peacefully, but even with that though, it's highly unlikely.
Time flies by pretty quickly and before Sona knew it, class was already over.
For the majority of the time, Sona took a couple of notes here and there for any new information that she didn't learn by herself such as short cuts or simplification on problems.
As Sona packed up her belongings one by one into her school bag, she finally headed out of the door when the bell rang.
Just as she walked out Mr. Clack called for her, "Sona, is it possible for you to have time to meet with me after school in this classroom to discuss what were could do about your Grades?"
"I'll be there," Sona spoke this time, and Mr. Clark shoo her out with his hand gesture.
One class ended, three more to go.
...
The next class Sona had was on the same floor as her math class, just on the opposite side of the building. It was English.
When she entered the classroom, her classmates actually noticed her compared to the last one.
"Hey, I think you are in the wrong class."
"Is she a new student?"
The same old reaction happened again, it was starting to be a bit annoying to Sona, yet again what can she do about it, her beloved etwahl was not with her to soothe her ears from the annoying sounds around her with its calming melody, so she just has to deal with it.
She walked by the teacher's desk and placed some papers.
And just like her math class, her teacher did not give her an assigned seat so she went and picked an empty seat in the back of the classroom.
Not far away from here, there was a group of girls huddled in the opposite corner having a huge discussion with one another.
"Don't tell me that's Sonia... There's no way she could of come back!"
"I'm am confused as well.... if I remember correctly if a person did not come to school for at least two weeks with no excuse they would be counted as a dropout and can't come back until a new year starts!"
"I forgot about that rule!"
"I don't know if you know this, but I have a friend who knows someone in the gang Sonia was in, it been said that Sonia was killed in an accident during an all-out fight with another group."
"No way, are serious!"
"It's true! he told him that everyone booked it when Sonia bleed on the ground, it looked like there was no way to save her so almost everyone ran and pray they won't get charged with felony murder!"
'well, she's not dead is she...' the leader of the group if girls muttered to herself with a pissed off look on her face.
"Why is she back, all the guys are now being brain dead and staring at her!"
"Her get-up has changed, she looks the same back when she was a pretty flower a few years ago..."
....
Sona heard everything that the other party said and it was somewhat annoying. It was to be expected that they would say things like that because their faces were already engraved in her mind.
Back then, they were the ones that bullied her in high school and a few of them even started it back in middle school!
Spreading rumors, taking her stuff, tripping her as she walks by, telling lies to the teacher, etc.
Why? She never did anything wrong, minded her own business, kept her distance from others, so what made her a target?
The simplest answer was that she was weak, easy to pick on as well as them being jealous.
She was smart, well-liked, looked pretty, and treated well by the teachers. The girls in her class whose egos were too high for their own good couldn't accept that fact.
As of right now, Sona's mood was a bit spoiled with anger and wish she wasn't listening to their conversation.
Her hearing range was something that no one in this world could compare, at least that's what she thinks. When she learning was music growing up in runeterra, every sound had great importance no matter insignificant they were and Sona took that lesson to heart.
It was not just music that trained her, back in the league of legends she could hear the screens of allies that had fallen from across the arena. It was a skill that she was forced to develop to survive and continue fighting the mindless battle.
Besides her hearing, she had this innate skill where she could detect ill intentions was also quite good.
Anyway, being called by the name of someone who is already deceased only to have their memories left behind was really giving Sona a headache.
Not wanting to dwell on the matters that would take days of repetitively asking oneself questions, Sona just turned off the sound around her and put her head down on her desk.
There still plenty of time to straighten her mind, after all, she's still young.
Before long, the bell rang again meaning that 2nd period had just started. Mrs. Bramlett who was Sona's English teacher walked into the room moments later.
"Well well, it's nice to see you back Sonia," Mrs. Bramlett immediately noticed her the moment she entered the classroom.
Sona raised her head as if she was half asleep, nodded her head, she placed the papers on her teachers desk already so there was no need to walk over to meet her.
