"Where am I?"
Sona opened her eyes after some time living in the blanket of darkness. The once cold environment felt warm, too warm...
After opening her eyes she was in a white room filled with strange objects she could not describe. Well... some things she could still recognize such as chairs and a door. But they all look so different?
"----" sounds can be heard outside of the strange room.
"... the wound must have been too much for the child causing her to sleep for so long..." The door opened and a woman and a man both dressed in white walked in.
Before long the nurse turn away from the doctor and to look at the patient.
"Oh! Thank heavens your awake," the women quickly came over and did some check-ups.
"It seems that her vitals are back to normal which is good, had me worried that she might die," the male doctor commented. He was very happy that his patient was able to hold on to her life, after all, its tragic for someone to die young.
Sona looked at them with confusion, originally she thought maybe someone brought her back to the capital to treat her wounds, but she ruled that out because this place does not have any resemblance to Demacia at all and even the people look strange.
The male doctor sat down next to the patents bed, "How are you feeling?"
Sona just looked at him in confusion, because she does not understand what the other person is saying, it was a whole new language to her. But judging from the expression and how he spoke, she was able to sense he was asking if she was alright. So in the end, Sona nodded.
The doctor was very experienced when communicating with patients, the way Sona responded already made him fell something was off, "Do you know who you are or where you are at?"
Sona too thought to herself, for a moment, her body felt strange and in this white room, it seems like a hospital but is not like any hospital like she ever has seen. Shortly after gathering thoughts, her head started hurting, and her body trembled, and finally passed out.
The nurse and the doctor reacted really quickly to check on her but in the end, the girl fell asleep once more.
"Judging from her reactions, it seems like she does understand what I'm saying but at the same time doesn't..."
"Doctor, what do you mean by understanding but doesn't?" The nurse asked as she checked on the machines on the patient's bed.
"If a patient were asked a question there be multiple ways they would respond, for her, she's native here so our language should be familiar, but the way she responded felt as if she did not doesn't know what I was saying"
"But the girl nodded, isn't that a response?"
"Your right, but if you looked closely, she was listening to what I spoke, but more reading my expression which led her to conclude what my question was. She did the same when I spoke to her the second time, Not only that, it took her longer; there was a faint reaction similarly to one feel like they were in a daze."
"If what your saying is right, do you believe the child lost her memories? wait that doesn't make any sense how would be able to comprehend her situation and respond..."
"It is strange... But let's not ponder about it, we can only hope our patient is alright, sense her vitals are back to normal 'again' she will probably be able to wake up once more," The doctor left and let the nurse write down today's patient report before leaving as well.
Sometime after, Sona woke once more. The room was not as white as she first woke up, probably because the sun as gone down and everything looked more blueish and dark.
'It seems that I am been reborn...' Sona pondered. She regained the memories of her body's previous owner and learned that this world that she is living in is called earth.
What's funny was that, this body's name is Sonia Buvelle, only her first name was slightly altered. The girl was an orphan like her, well, originally she wasn't until a few years ago her parents died in a shooting incident.
Besides her body being younger, the girl also had long light blue hair, probably dyed, unlike her original body which her light blue hair was natural.
From what she knows, the girl was not really an "elegant" person even though her beauty was stunning. She too gets into trouble from time to time and even joined some "Bad groups" but luckily in those groups she has some status making her safe.
Digging through her memories, she found out how her predecessor of this body died, there was a small group war and Sonia was in it. She got shoved by the other party and fell on top of a sharp pipe that priced trough her stomach.
The incident took place in an abandoned factory that was a bit far from the city.
The group wars weren't meant to kill or hurt people to the point it makes them ended up in the hospital, but of course, there sometimes be broken bones when beating the opponent up. So when Sonia spewed up blood and lied on the ground, both sides immediately stopped and froze. Many immediately ran, not wanting to become a part of a murder scene.
Sonia died there, well technically, she was on her death bed and heart starting to slow down as well, sometime between going to the hospital was when Sona probably took her place. This was her guess even though she had no memories of it.
So who was the one that brought me here? Sonia already died in that old and abandoned place where the war started but somehow that person brought me to the hospital. What was the point? The old abandoned place was outside of the city not close to any hospital.
From what Sona could recall, it would still be about an hour away to reach, and even if they were to call an ambulance, who knows how long they would take to be able to reach to them. It makes her wonder, who was her savior.
Besides learning about her predecessor's death, her predecessor's memories were integrated into hers making her feel as if they were one, to begin with. With this, she was able to understand the native language, as well as the new world she now lives in.
"ah...," Sona let out a sigh but then her face became frozen with shock.
...
'Did I produce sound?'
ahhh
ah
ahh
Sona messed around with different octaves. It felt really uncomfortable, because she never used those muscles there to produce noise before.
Filled with mixed emotions she eventually just closed her eyes and fell asleep.
