"L-let me go!" She cried hysterically as she dreamed of being kidnapped, which was her unfortunate reality.
"Wake up!" Kailey shouted, not loud enough to be heard but loud enough to wake her up "You're going to get us into trouble" she said in worry.
"I'm sorry.. I had a dream we were escaping and were caught by a demon" Lindsay said, blinking repeatedly, trying to wake herself off.
"Its finally the day we escape" she said looking towards Kailey, her only friend in the prison.
They both had a plan. Days before, they had counted the steps onto the nearest door by blindly using their senses while the other distracts the guards that were constantly following them.
"Tonight?" She asked Kailey, not believing the days were flowing so fast.
Being locked up in a pitch dark jail with only one light coming from a long hallway, they had grown tired of waiting patiently for a hero. Rarely at times when visitors arrived, they were blindfolded and unable to see those around them, "its protocol" a guard always said.
"I've counted around 100 steps till the nearest closet door" Kailey said fastly, determined to say it before the guard returned. "We can hide out till they figure out we have escaped and go after us full speed."
"It's too risky" Lindsay said, biting her nails nervously, telling herself to calm down. "Remember what happened last time you tried to escape, you were almost beaten to death!"
"I have faith in us.." she said hesitating "They're coming" while signaling Lindsay to put her blindfold back on.
Kailey was a psychic. She could manually amplify her senses to her benefit. Sometimes it was out of impulse or danger, other times she had to focus on her power for it to work.
"Oh Kailey, how much have we missed you" they said, as they abruptly opened the prison, taking Kailey out by force.
They had drugged them many times, sometimes leaving them feeling weaker other times having no effects, while Kailey and Lindsay had never known what it was used for they had heard its an experiment of some sort.
"Stop it!" Kailey yelled. "Sto-p it-t, please-e" she studdered while kicking her feet in anger.
Lindsay could only sit there, hearing her body being dragged to another room. Unable to see a thing or do anything about it. She immediately felt hot, almost as if she was about to faint.
"Kailey!" She yelled with all the strength she had left "Where-e are you!"
"She'll return later" One of the men said back almost hysterically laughing as if it was a game to him

Sometime later, when Kailey returned feeling weaker than ever before they were taken and placed in some sort of glass box with a giant door in the middle.
They took off their own blindfolds to make sure they had been moved elsewhere as the floor didn't feel the same. It seemed as if they were in a glass door with bars and a door in front if them.
"This almost looks like a showcase" Kailey said while her head spined out of control.
"How will we run away now?" Lindsay whispered. There was no way out unless they were prepared to lose their hands punching thick glass.
"Lindsay.." She whispered inquiringly "We have spoken many times but how come you have never told me your power?"
"Because dont have one" she replied
"Then why are you here, I thought they were investigating supernaturals only"
"They kidnapped me from my family when I turned 17" Lindsay said not wanting to give her more information about her life
"Are you 18 yet? Have you harnessed your power yet? When's your birthday?" She began questioning curiously.
Before or after turning 18 years of age, Many would find out their inner "power". If a person was supernatural and harnessed such power, they would go to a school to learn to control them before being out and let into the real world. The powers were special to each person.
There are also those who harnessed darkness called "tenebrae". They had been stripped many times of their powers by the elders. The Elders trying to keep control, created requirements for tenebraes to stay in a certain place called 'kalibris' because if their power were to go to the human world, humans would be in great danger.
"Even if I told you when it was, it wouldn't make a difference, we can't tell time from this place"
Lindsay replied sighing, she had missed home especially her father.
"How come you knew about powers then?" Kailey questioned, almost in a slight doubtful voice.
"My mother was a psychic.. like you" She explained "and I never knew my father, my mother never speaks of him" She said dishonestly to get her to stop questioning her
"I see.. I'm sorry" she whispered softly not believing her story for a second. "Who is this girl" she thought to herself in worry
They both sat there in the glass box and stared at everything around them. Trying to keep the awkwardness away.
"I hear something, I think someones coming" Kailey said as she grabbed onto Lindsays arm and told Lindsay to close her eyes.
They were once showned what happens if they were to open their eyes to visitors. As sickinging it was, they had learned their lesson.
"Are these the only ones you have?" A man said sharply, with deepest voice any of them had ever heard of.
"We acquired them over two years ago, the others ones died" he said to the mysterious man almost frightenedly awaiting of his response.
Lindsay could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer.. It almost felt like her heart was sinking more and more every minute.
The mysterious man stopped in front of Lindsay, watching her cover her eyes tighter not wanting to let go.
"MINE!" He yelled aggresively, wanting to keep his wolf side in.
Lindsay opened her eyes out of impulse and saw the man in front of her...
The most terrifyingly handsome man she had ever seen
.. And she fainted.
