She changed as instructed. While she really desired to run away, jumping off a window and cracking a few bones was not on her list.
She gave him a signal to ensure he could come back into the room. Noticing her surroundings she had realized she was in a quite spacious and colorful room for a hospital. There was a bookshelf, and flowers dangling from the roof where whatever was on its back could not be seen.
"This almost feels like royal treatment.. and for a girl like me thats.. very rare to get" she thought to herself in worry.
"Our Alpha would like to see you this evening, are you alright with that, Miss Romania?" The guard asked, while placing his arm on his pocket and taking out a piece of paper.
"Sure, and please call me Lindsay, I don't go by that name anymore." She said while taking the piece of paper and watching him give her privacy.
Proceeding to take her chances, she opened it and proceeded to read loudly:
On the solace of the night, when the stars are shining bright, will you join me on this night, and be the light of my life
"Okay yeah no, what the f*ck is this b*llsh*t" she said chuckling out of the cringiness of the note.
"Whoever wrote this clearly wasn't in their right minds" She told herself.
It was at that moment, she felt a part of myself she never had laugh with her.
"Hello-o?" She whispered to herself trying to make sure the guard could not to overhear.
Proceeding to believe she was going crazy she let it go and focused on what seemed to be the smartest plan she had in mind.
"Alright its time to get out of this place" she told herself "and I know just the way.."
Lindsay stood up. She walked towards the window, opening it as she let go of her bun, letting her black lucient hair flow against her back. Snapping a hair and placing it on the side of the window. She hid against the flowers and the giant bookshelf almost unseen.
"Where did she go" The man outside rang out, looking everywhere for her.
At that moment, he decided to milinking the pack "Find her in this instance!" While looking at the open window, making sure she wasn't outside.
"Yes Sir!" The pack members replied.
Making sure it was the right time to go and he was looking for her through the window, she fled and closed the door on her way out.
"And that is how you win at your own game" She replied, winking at him and watching him knock the door in anger telling her to "open it at this instance."
Lindsay did not have much time, she ran towards a long hallway with many rooms. "What type of labyrinth bullsh*t is this" she thought to herself caressing her stomach.
Eventually, the black suited man kicked the door down and followed the scent she left off. "I have her" he mindlinked the pack.
Lindsay was too good at this game. She ran towards every door opening and closing making sure every room had her scent. She had already seen werewolves, her bestfriend was a werewolf and he taught her all she knows.
It was eventually tiring for Lindsay. Deciding no longer to play the devils game, she was now looking for the nearest exit.
"Where is this damn exit" she whispered to herself.
"Wouldn't you like to aaknow" the black suited man replied from her back.
Lindsay froze, turning herself to make sure it was really him. She was scared for her life at that instant and not knowing what to do next, her fight or flight response kicked in.
Lindsay tightened her hands into a fist. She tried to punch what seemed to be a 200 pounds man with muscles the size of a rock. "What in the hell am I doing" she thought to herself.
The black suited man immediately caught her punch and laughed.
"Why are you laughing" she replied in an annoyed tone.
"Next time try and look at your dirty shoes. First rule of running away, don't leave tracks kiddo" He said while pinning her up against the wall, not too hard to hurt her but enough to have her listen to him without running.
"Look here, you have two choices, you follow what I say and make this easy for me. Or we can continue playing this game, while I win everytime"
Lindsays' stomach growled of hunger.
"You couldn't have waited a few more seconds" She thought to herself.
"It looks to me like the second choice is your best bet"
"Fine, but get me out of here" she sighed. Looking at her dirty shoes leaving marks where she stepped.
After the two made their verbal agreement, they had decided to stop for food.
"Why have you collected me?" she asked looking at him in fear it was human trafficking.
"He was extremely handsome" she thought to herself "why would he need me for"
Lindsay had not met many people but his radient light brown eyes were stricking and could not be unnoticed by any woman.
"Collected is not the right word, its more like took you out of harm and hurt a few narcissistic harmful people that would've kept you restrained till you became obedient and taken you for god knows what" he replied questioning why he responded at all.
One thing neither the black suited man or Lindsay herself knew is that she had the power to get the truth out of a persons heart among other things.
They stayed in deep silence till she remembered she didn't even know his name, before trying to escape and punch the guy.
"Whats your name" she asked while taking in a big spoonful of noodles.
"Trevor" he said pausing, waiting for instructions from the packs leader.
"Its time to go home" he said with a slight slime "Wouldn't you like to meet your mate?"
Lindsay almost chuckled but decided it was best to keep it in for her own safety.
"Does he know I'm not a wolf?" she thought to herself in wonder.
...
Trevor walked towards a black jeep, telling Lindsay to get in.
She then hesitated. Trevor seeing this he responded, "Look you don't have to.. at any point in time if you feel threatened, talk to me and I'll make sure you never see our faces again"
Lindsay didn't know many things, but one thing she did know was when a person was telling the truth.
Then deciding to take her chances and she hopped in. "Whats the worst that can happen" she thought to herself.
