Continuing going in and out of conscience, she could feel the movement of things around her.
There were yellow lights constantly flickering. Getting darker and darker as she passed through the hallways.
...
When suddenly she feel a rush of epinephrine taking over her and woke up.
"Where am I?" she asked herself faintly at a nurse to her side, almost muffling. Though, she couldn't clearly see where she was she understood it was some sort of treatment center "It's probably one of the labs" she told herself.
Not feeling strong enough to rise, she once again fell into a trans like state of complete darkness. "Where's Kailey?!" she yelled loudly in her thoughts, unable to be heard.
"Why can't anyone hear me whats going on!" she yell again. However, no matter how much she spoke, its almost as if she wasn't audible speaking.
"You're safe" She heard from a voice in her. While not knowing who or what it was that mindlinked her she was too weak. Deciding to believe it as she slept at ease.
...
Some time had passed.. She could tell by the way that every noise that was once infuriating became still. People that were once clicking things of screens were coming less and less often, there was complete silence if it wasn't for that annoying clock she thought to herself.
Tick...
Tock...
Tick...
Tock...
"Shut the h*ll up" She yelled in anger, in surprise to wake up seeing a man watching her.
"Jordan?" She hesitated to say. "Is that you?"
"Who?" The strange man said with no facial expression.
"Sorry.. who are you?" She asked, while wiping her eyes to not make the same mistake twice.
The man stayed in complete silence almost as if waiting for something. Lindsay once knew of a wolf that did the same thing while waiting for instructions, so she waited.
The man left abruptly and brought in a set of clothes for her, handing it over to her.
While she didn't understand what was going on, "I can't stay in that filthy gown" she told herself.
"Change, someone will explain everything." The man said whilst leaving the door and turning his head towards the wall.
"What would Kailey do.. what would Kailey do" She thought while changing her shirt, noticing a extra large bandaid at the side of her hip. "F*ck, when did I get this" she thought to herself.
While taking her time making sure she had no other bruises. She thought to herself "Jumping from the second floor means a good chance of survival with minor injuries and the secret man having a harder chance of following me.. What am I thinking ugh"
"The only choice I have is to use my powers" she told herself..
There was a problem with that. She had no idea how to and the only time she had used them was when she was 14.. The day her father disappeared.
It was warm, cozy night back in Shelton. Her father amd her had been practicing chemical explosives, as he always said "you might need it one day" among other things.
There was a sudden burst of men in black suits and masks that came towards their front gate, bursting the lock into pieces.
"Let him go" she yelled desperately, trying to take the mens' hands off her father.
They had whispered something in her fathers ears, while she was too far to understand, she understood it as a warning for his life
"Shall we take her too?" One of the men asked. While holding her against her will with a small golden handcuff in his right hand.
"No, we have orders to take the man only, he's the only Phoenix" one of the men said while the others ran towards the van.
"Stop! What are you doing!! Let him go!" She began to shout, in fear he would never return again. Her father was then dragged with his arms back after they had placed a shot on his right arm.
Suddenly, everything around her began shaking, the walls, the floor, and even that ridiculous chandelier which she never liked. They all began to look at each other and look at her father almost believing he was creating this madness while in his weak state
"Stop it, or we will stop you." they shouted with authority to her father while placing golden cuffs on his hands.
"It's okay Linda (beautiful), promise me you'll look for a man named Geret, promise me!" he mindlinked her in agony.
"I promise"
The man that was once holding her had disappeared in a flash. She could not see any of the men but decided to focus on the back of the van which had an large beast imprinted on it
She didn't know at the time, but the men she had met were the first supernatural people she had even seen.. they were invisible.
