Haze waited for thirty minutes in the small room as he waited for Helm to fully restore the map.
When the thirty minutes was up, he had managed to get a map of the entire domain on the computer. He couldn't print it out, but grabbed a piece of paper he found on the table and passed it through the portal to Helm. He quickly traced the map in less than a minute and passed it to Haze.
The computer had lots of information related to the company on it, but as expected nothing that Haze could use to get ahead. It almost looked like that the map was left there on purpose, as a prize for people who thought of creating the right gods.
The company seemed more than aware that their computer had an open database, however, Helm wasn't convinced that he gleamed all the secrets from it.
"Give me ten more minutes in here, and I'll check the syntax a couple more times."
"Don't hurt yourself," Rail said as she looked down at the map, "You already saved us quite a lot of time. Palavera, you bored enough to take us to where the other gods are. I'm sure you know."
"She does look like she's hiding secrets," Zack turned on the computer behind the table and waited for it to load. "I wonder if anything is on here. Why would they leave these computers here?"
"They are to chat with the other teams," Palavera sighed as she ate some ice cream. "If you want, you can check if their account is still open. I'm telling you that for free..."
"It's true... They left it open." Zack clicked on the mouse and a chat window opened up. "This is interesting. Come look at this Haze."
"Seriously? That makes things easier," Rail smiled and teleported Haze over to the screen as he folded his arms in front of it. "Sorry, just thought it be easier to take you with me."
"Wait, what if this is fake?" Haze scrolled through the [chat log] and looked at the information, "What if the other team already went to another safe room and warned them?"
"You can't modify stuff in that chat after three minutes," Palavera munched on another chip as she smiled, "This is the life. Finally, I don't have to hunt for my food, and I can just eat something someone else made."
"Hunt?" Zack said, "We didn't see a single creature here."
"That's because you're here during a mission. If it wasn't a mission, you'd be afraid to go outside," Palavera kept eating as Haze finally made it to the top of the [chat log]. It was the three god smiths talking named [Light Convict], [Vio], and [Available Mate]. The last name made him chuckle a little bit before he scrolled down the window to an important section.
[Chat Window]
Available Mate: I only have one damn life left to revive someone. We'll murder him the second he spawns in three hours with [Luna] and [Bang]. He probably won't expect a god that can disable shields. Then we'll light him on fire.
Light Convict: I have to distant attackers and one defender. My best god is [Haste]... You still want me to aim for that little teleporting demon girl?
"Demon Girl?" Rail said with a dissatisfied expression as she stuffed a chip into her mouth. "I'm not a demon girl... I'll show that asshole when I meet him."
Vio: I want to be in the fun too. I created one god that's useless in anything but team battles. She has pink hair. When you see her, scream her name [Beverley]. If she hears her name called, she can automatically boost your attack.
Available Mate: That sounds like a dumb skill? You couldn't think of a better god Vio?
Light Convict: Yeah, will even have time to scream that girls name? He should be up in smoke in a second once [Bite] drops them into the ground.
Vio: The boost increases attack by half a rank. Stop complaining. It cost me 5 god credits just to purchase the skill.
Available Mate: What a waste. Fine, We'll remember [Beverley], but who else you got to offer?
Vio: One damage reflective type named [Vex] and one other that can cast debuffs [Xev]. Don't say anything about their names, I was dying when they were created.
Available Mate: Shit, one of my gods just found Haze... Got to go... Meet you in the room after.
Haze sighed and closed the window. This seemed too easy, much too easy. He looked over at Nicety as she walked over to him.
Abilities in
The [chat log] also ended abruptly and had some information deleted from it according to the history. They could've already tampered with it.
Frankly, his best plan was just to kill the gods as quickly as possible. There was no way in hell he was going to wait three hours, but he wanted to give Helm more time at the computer first. The sooner he could get out, the sooner he could expand his guild.
"So, that means Available Mate was definitely the owner of these two dead gods right here," Nicety said as she walked over to Haze as the chat ended. "I'm guessing that's Luna and Bang. It's a shame we had to kill them."
"Guess that means they have no plan anymore," Rail smiled and cracked her knuckles. "What should we do Haze?"
"Let's go to where Helm is and wait there," Haze nodded his head, looking confident in his decision, "Rail, you mind teleporting around again with the portal on your body? We can check the entire forest, and then return."
"Sure, It's nice to be of use father. I'm not a demon, right?"
"You're the first good thing that happened in my life in a long time," Haze smiled at Rail as Michigan opened a portal, "Palavera, you coming?"
"I don't suppose I can just take the refrigerator?" Palavera sighed and walked over to it, "Hold on... I didn't check the top shelf yet."
"Wait, Haze, come here." Helm said as he smiled as Haze walked out of the portal, "I'm done with this computer now. Good news is we might have a bad way to come back here. Even better news I'll tell you in a second."
