Haze brought [Joke Land] to a spare room after ten minutes of talking to her about the best steps forward.
His plan since he broke through D rank much earlier than most people, was to wait twenty-four hours before entering
The good news was that his guild was now showing up as a guild in the D rank even though it only had three members. [Fated] road was still technically in the F rank according to the [guild hierarchy] because their leader was in the F rank. Him rising to the D rank also meant that he was no longer the lowest rated guild.
He was now the second lowest guild, but there was still over a thousand guilds above him. He obviously figured from that information that there had to be at least a thousand different worlds that were participating in the company.
This was true.
There was at least 5,000 different planets that were currently part of the
Haze sighed and took a deep breath as he handed Laminate one of his old shirts. Her red dress was torn, so she needed something to wear and all he had was an old long sleeve black shirt.
"You-you don't have to be so nice. You're risking a lot by me being here, "Laminate said as she put the shirt on over her dress and looked in the mirror. "I wouldn't have been surprised if you ignored me. That's what happened at my last guild."
'About that... You never told me what happened," Haze said as he crossed his arms, "You were in more than one guild before, right? We were short on time last time, so that question kind of stuck with me."
"You want to know? It's not a fun story." Laminate took a deep breath and sat down on the bed. The look of sadness and disappointment were completely covering her every fiber. "Our old guild leader had the habit of inviting people into his guild and having them to three tests before getting them to join."
"Seems smart right?" Laminate recalled the man who betrayed them as her entire body tensed.
There had been a man named [Lotus Touch] that had come to the try out and passed with flying colors. It was painful to think of how he also tried to be close to her. She took a deep breath as she tried to find the words to start.
"Well, this guy named [Lotus Touch] came for tryout and he seemed like a nice guy."
"There was three obstacles each person had to go through. One where you had to fight a
"Well, long story short, that game was meant to test intellect. He scored higher than any of the other recruits by far, so our former leader decided to let him join immediately. The next step should've been to vet his background, however, he was only sixteen..."
"I guess he did something pretty bad after that, right?" Haze said as she put his hands in his pocket. He'd been betrayed many times and could hear the sadness in her voice. "What happened?"
"Well, nothing good. Long story short, he used a loophole to change the ownership of the guild to himself, and then killed the guild leader and sacrificed everyone else..." Laminate started to tear as she thought about what it was like waiting her turn.
He went in order form his least favorite
Lotus Touch made a promise to a certain guild that he'd sacrifice his entire guild to them in exchange for membership into the guild [Jubilant Jay]. The only problem was because he swore an oath he really couldn't join unless [Joke Land] died.
"So basically, you saved me from him," Laminate smiled at Haze she lied back on the bed. "He now is probably going to do everything in his power to kill me. He might even go as far to offer you one hundred god credits for my head."
"She's telling the truth," Terror said as he stepped in the room and dropped down on his knees. His black suit and white shirt and long black pony tail fell down his back. "That bastard knows no shame. He may be smart, but he's young and foolish."
"Sounds like something you should've told us," Rail sighed as she snapped her fingers. She tossed a few bags of clothes on the table. She just went to get her some stuff while Haze was talking, "If he's so smart, why didn't he figure out you were messaging Haze?"
"It's because he was already celebrating, and he also didn't want to watch me die," Laminate wiped off the tears from her eyes as she wistfully looked into the mirror, "He used to come up to me every day for a week and tell me how beautiful he was."
"I actually started to like him like a brother, however, he's so evil!"
"On the day I was supposed to die, he put the guild leaders head in my bed! He's a sick man, Haze! Please stop him at all costs!"
"He sounds like an asshole," Zack said as he walked into the room with Mack, "Like a bad anime character that you want to die, but keeps surviving season after season for no reason."
"You got a message by the way," Zack pointed at Haze's laptop as he yawned, "It's from someone named [Lotus Touch]. He's really annoying. Your computer has been beeping for the last two minutes."
"Please... please don't give me to him," Laminate cried out as she dropped on her knees. "Please, I know I'm useless, and probably going to die in a few days, but I want to live! Even if it's just to see one more day, I don't want to die!"
"Your-your sort of like my sister," Haze said as he nodded his head. "You did something stupid, and paid the price for it. I promise to not let you die... There is no reason we can't beat him if we work together."
"Time for your training," Mace walked in the room and yawned as she came in with a black sports bra and a pair of shorts. "My skill will be upgraded in the morning. When was the last time you checked your status by the way?"
"Ugh, come with me to the bedroom." Haze grabbed Mace's hand as Laminate slightly smiled and fell back on her bed. It felt so good to feel like someone was going to protect her for once. She hadn't had that feeling in a long time.
