Chapter 62 - Rank Raise

Haze's computer was buzzing repeatedly as he sat down on his chair and opened up his [chat window]

He sighed and skimmed through some of the messages from [Lotus Touch[. If he was smart, his sixteen year old side was showing much more than his intelligence.

He seemed impatient.

Five messages popped up on Haze's screen in an instant.

[Chat Window]

Lotus Touch: She's worth more to me than you can imagine, one hundred god credits!

Lotus Touch: What you waiting for? I'll do three missions for you if you want. Four, Five? I don't even know if I can do that, but I will.

Lotus Touch: You like food? Give me her head, and I'll let you eat a meal I cook.

Lotus Touch: How about a vacation in another world with a thousand beauties? Hello?!

Lotus Touch: She's like a sister. I should be the one to kill her. She's going to die in a few days anyway...

[....]

Haze didn't bother to read the rest of the messages as Rail jumped on his lap. She bit into an apple as some of the juice ran down her face.

She looked surprised and covered her eyes as Haze tried not to laugh.

"It's not funny. I didn't know apples had juice in them."

"That's how they make apple juice," Haze jokingly played with her hair, feeling a warmth inside of him. "What should I do about this guy? He's clearly insane."

"Either that or he's trying to not get you to respond," Rail had a strange hunch as more beeps appeared on the screen, "Is Helm still around? There must be a reason he's acting like such an idiot."

"Helm, come here!" Haze said as he picked up Rail and put her on his shoulders, the [training dragon] was spreading down his skin as Mace followed after them, "How's it going? Is the program operating."

"Yup, it will beep if anything gets within 2 miles..." Helm said as he stretched and looked at Haze. "I'm feeling tired. Going to hit the D rank soon."

"Ugh, I did forget to mention one thing," Rail yawned as she sat down on the bed, "Normally, you'd want to get promoted when you still could create a god," She yawned and stretched her arms above her head. "I'd call over [Eternal Fantasy] before we fall asleep."

"I will watch Burn the Witch until I fall asleep," Zack said as he nodded his head, "I will be the last one to fall asleep. It's only right I wait the longest."

"He's still messaging you," Rail pointed at the computer. "Don't answer him. He's just playing a game."

"Haze... What's he saying," Laminate walked out of the room with just the black shirt on, her face ruddy and glimmering as she walked up to him, "Also, do you mind? Does this look okay?"

"It-it's not bad!" Haze blushed as he looked at Laminate, "It's fine! I just didn't think it be that-that short on you!"

"It's almost up to my knees," Laminate pointed at the door, "Anyways, I'll take the night shift. Don't bother [Eternal Fantasy] unless you have to. If our seven days overlap, you won't get any extra protection."

"That's true, however, we probably won't be C rank for a couple months," Rail yawned and pointed at the bed, "Going to fall asleep father. Call her over and just let her stay a day."

"I will stay up! I will stay up!" Zack looked troubled as the remote trembled in hsi hand, "This is every child's dilemma! However, I will win and reach the last episode of the season!"

"Go to bed," Haze said as he walked over to his computer, "I have some missions I can start doing by myself. I'll get [Endless Fantasy] to help."

"Goodnight," Zack smiled as he walked over to Haze's bed and dropped on his knees, "I'll be sleeping here with the television on. Wake me if anything good happens."
