"It looks like you were right about creating me." Helm smiled and loaded opened up the map on his computer, "Looks like they give points for brains. I just found a way to track your opponents."
"Shit, and here I thought you couldn't cheat a prime promotion mission," Palavera walked into the portal and jumped on the table next to Helm. "I guess most people wouldn't think of hacking a computer like this."
This was true.
In the last ten competitions for prime candidates, not a single person had created a god like Helm. Three out of the ten had succeeded, and all three of those
Haze was different from them in that he was willing to risk offense in exchange for defensive and intelligent gods. To be honest, if there was such thing as a 9 x 9 fight in
This lesson as clear to most of the most successful
Haze was in the minority of people who thought ahead. He had one too many broken legs and been through enough hardships to care about life and death. He looked at the map that Helm loaded and saw three dots rapidly heading towards their location.
"It gets better," Helm clicked to buttons and loaded the names of the three gods. "This application here is called [Life Tracker]. I think if I memorize the code, we can use it on Earth. If anything gets within two miles of your domain, check this out."
Helm clicked on one of the names, and to Haze's surprise all the abilities of [Vex] and [Xev] showed up. [Vex] apparently had one ability called [tracking curse] that created a large invisible crane that would look for any target and explode when it found it. While [Xev] was able to dual wield pistols that disabled abilities if they hit the target.
These were definitely not the abilities he saw in the chat.
Haze sighed and looked over at Rail as the three red dots that represented [Vex] and [Xev] got closer to them.
"Nicety, Michigan... You-you think you guys can take them out?"
"If that's not a fake map, they'll be practically like killing ducks." Nicety walked over to Michigan as she smiled and opened a Portal. "Wait, so all the remaining seven gods are on that map?"
"Yup, it looks like my hard work paid off. Once we get home, I'll plug this code into our domain."
"You-you should be careful,' Palavera tapped her finger nervously against her elbow as she stared at Helm, "You-you realize how much that's worth? If someone finds out you have it... I mean... You even have this girl from your guild with you."
"I'm just here to be with my guild leader," Waist smiled and put her arm around Haze."
She was feeling slightly nervous, but trusted Haze.
Haze had after all saved her when she was on the brink of failing out of
She shrugged it off as Haze smiled at her and shook his head.
"Nope, she's fine... Helm, can we get her out of here for free?"
"Yup, since we have access to the code of the domain, we won't even have to pay god credits." Helm winked at Palavera as she blushed and turned to the side. "She's cute... You mind if I ask her out sometime?"
"Ugh, I'm about to fire," Nicety looked through a portal at three running gods... "Who should I hit first?"
"Leave the
"It's a shame, they'll probably die if you take out their gods, Just kill them also," Palavera said heartlessly as she tossed down a chip. She'd seen way too many people get hurt to care about a few
The company wouldn't probably even blink if Haze killed another
She sighed as Michigan fired two shots out of her hand.
The bullets purred towards Vex and Xev as they turned and looked to a dim light in the sky.
Blood shot out of both their heads before Michigan immediately opened up another portal to one of the storage rooms after the fence.
"All five gods are in here. Zack, care to help?"
"This is so unfair," Rail shook her head, "I thought we'd be here forever, and ever..." Rail smiled and put her hand on Zack's back. "Want me to teleport you to the left side while Nicety takes out the right?"
"Sure, I felt like I was about to get canceled." Zack nodded his head.
The five people in the room were sitting around a large metal table nervously tapping their arms. All five of them were waiting for word from Light Convict, but hadn't received a single message.
The two god smiths sighed as they sat in front of their computer screens with the [chat log] open.
One was a girl with blonde hair and a long black dress lavishly pouring down her leg while the other man had black hair with ripped sweat pants. The two of them weren't even talking, and were nervously drinking coffee as their gods stared at the door.
It was a shame a portal was behind one of the gods heads. Lined up perfectly with the two remaining gods.
"You think I can hit two? Do I get a prize if I kill them faster than you Zack?"
"You already won," Zack nodded his head as Haze put up the okay signal. He gently rubbed Nicety's back as Rail put her hand on Zack.
"We'll kill them now, okay? On my mark..."
"Go," Nicety finished Rail's sentence as she activated [phantom shot]. A bullet burst out of her hand and ripped through the two gods heads. It was so fast that the blood spatter hadn't even landed on the table when Zack landed in the room.
He instantly cut through a god with black hair's head as his blood squirted into the air.
The two
It was unfortunate, but in battles of life and death there was no way Zack could wait for him to finish his sentence. He'd watched enough anime to know to not give the enemy time to recover. The four bodies fell as Zack sighed and walked back to the portal.
"Finally,y we get to go back home... It's about damn time I watch Burn that Witch."
[Haze has defeated all the godsmiths gods]
[You've earned 10 credits, and have set a new prime candidate mission record]
[The company gives you full permission to give the code you found in exchange for two of those god credits. Would you like to accept?"
"Of course," Rail said out-loud as Haze paused and took a breath. "What, why wouldn't you want that code?"
"It's dangerous, I'm warning you," Palavera said as she crossed her arms, "Don't do it, and--"
"I-I accept. I'm tired of not taking risks," Haze nodded his head and ground his fist into a ball. "Let's get out of here."
"[Joke Land] did message you," Rail smiled as a portal opened in front of them back to Haze's room. "God, I hope things get better after this..."
