Haze walked over with Palavera towards the outskirts of the forest.
There was nothing besides large walls that were topped by a black sky. It was dark and hard to see anything past it.
"They were over here," Palavera knocked on the large fence a few times before she heard a click. "They must have been given a place to hide by the company. If you go in this door, there is a safe house. Promise me you'll save me though."
"If he won't, I will," Waist smiled and patted Palavera's red hair and smiled. The little girl looked angry but somewhat happy before she blushed and smiled. "You're so cute. This guy gets everything, so if I need to save you I will."
"We can share her, right? You said you'll work for God Credits?" Haze looked over at Zack and Nicety and motioned towards the door. It was a transparent door in the large fence that could barely be seen. "However, can't they hear us?"
"Nope, it's complicated." Palavera yawned and began to turn the door. "As soon as I open this, attack. There is two teams in there."
"Two? You mean they can work together," Haze looked surprised, but pushed that away. "Damn it! Lapis, activate a shield around me. Michigan, use your chant."
"I haven't used it yet, have I?" Michigan raised her hand and activated
"It wasn't me who gave this information to you okay. This can't get out. "
"If any of these guys are in a guild, and happen to survive, someone might cross world just to kill me. Got it?"
"Open the door," Zack spun his sword and nodded his head, "I'm missing episodes of Burn that Witch. The faster we get out of here, the faster I can find out what happens next."
Palavera opened the door and Zack instantly rushed inside.
There was a table with eight people sitting down with their weapons by their sides. They were so surprised that they didn't even manage to grab their weapons before Zack already attacked three times.
Three sword crescents shot out of Zack's blade and glowed red as a god named {Mist] let her body burst. A thick steam spread through the room as blood shot up into the air.
"Nicety, don't hold back," Zack sent out multiple sword crescents into the room as the steam got thicker and thicker. "Damn it... Did we get anyone?"
"Back up!" Lapis activated her shield in front of Zack as Port activated his shield as well. "We got them captured... There is no way they can breathe in that mist for long."
"You got two, nice job," Palavera smiled as the mist started to clear. "However, I think they had someone teleport them away. Oh well, at least they are in the forest now. Want me to get you some snacks. They have a fridge in here they restock during missions."
"Are you kidding? That seems a little unnecessary," Waist said as the air cleared. Two bodies were on the floor of two men holding various weapons. "It's like they want ot make it easy for the prime candidate to lose."
'Exactly. They have to put more resources into prime candidates, so it makes sense they'd want them to lose. I know only a little bit about the company, but they operate like most companies. Maximize profit."
"What profit?" Haze wiped away the smoke as he pushed Zack into the room, "Zack, make sure those two are dead. Check their bodies."
"I got it," Zack stabbed his sword into one of the dead men's back, and then stabbed him again. "Yup, he's very dead. Want me to stab him again?"
"The other one is dead too..." Lapis turned over the body of a beautiful woman who had gotten cut in the neck by Zack. "You-you really didn't hold back Zack. I'm sort of impressed."
"That's worth at least one god credit," Palavera yawned and walked over towards the refrigerator. "You have seven gods left to kill right? You want more of my help, or you going to risk finding them yourself?"
"We might as well just wait in here for the two hours to be up." Waist said as she sat down at the table. There was a table with three computers behind it with a medicine cabinet and the refrigerator that Palavera was digging through. "What do you think Haze? It be better to not walk into any traps. The second we all teleport together, it will probably be in our advantage now."
"Let's wait," Haze sighed and crossed his arms, "Palavera, why don't you tell us your backstory now?"
"Sure, but it's dark. You sure?"
"We have three hours," Haze yawned and turned to Michigan, "Anyways, how is Helm doing? Any word from him?"
"Ask him yourself," Michigan pointed to a portal that appeared on the table, "He looks like he found something. Look at him code. He's quite a machine."
'I heard that," Helm said as he wiped the sweat off his head. "Good news! I found a map in this computer that must have be been not permanently deleted. Apparently, there are five rooms that people can hide in by the fences."
"Well, there goes my work," Palavera sighed and opened a bag of chips. At least I have some food."
