"Smudge??" yowled Starpaw. Smudge was a kittypet, a good friend of Starpaw. he lived right next door. Smudge blinked his eyes and looked at Starpaw from paw to head. "Starlight?!" meowed Smudge. "Oh how geat it is too see you again!" Smudge jumped on Starpaw and gave her a nudge with his head. Starpaw was glad to see her friend still remebered her. "Well, I'm called Starpaw now." replied Starpaw with a smile on her face. Smudge took a good look at Starpaw again, mostly at her belly. "Well, your new Twolegs aren't that responible. They hardly look like they are feeding you!" Smudge hissed as he was worried that Starpaw was being neglected and straved. Then, out of nowhere a familar cat came out and started yelling. "SMUDGE!!!" yowled the tom-cat. "Where. Is. My. Toy!" hissed the tom-cat. Starpaw took a glance at this om-cat and knew who he was. "Rusty!" Starpaw meowed as she jumped onto the tom-cat. "Starlight? Is that you??" meowed Rusty. Starpaw nodded her head and got off her friend. Smudge quickly meowed, "Starpaw now. I wonder what housefolk give you that name." Starlight turned to her two friends and replied, "I don't need any Twolegs to feed me! I have this whole forest to hunt in!" Smudge sat down as he looked surprised. He licked a paw and askede, "So you're really living with wild cats?!" Starpaw nodded her head. "Is living with the wild cats like you thought it would be like? You always woke up saying how you had dreams of living in the wild and catching mice." meowed Rusty. Starpaw looked at Rusty and meowed, "Living in the wild with the wild cats are awesome!" After the two tom-cats could reply a twoleg coming from Smudge's nest was yelling out in the wind. Another twoleg coming out of Rusty's nest came out and said a few words to Smudge's housefolk. Then, both twolegs started calling something out. "Well we better go, it is meal time after all." mewoed Smudge with a sad face. "Don't forget to visit us! We are family, kind of." meowed Rusty. The three friends ended up laughing and Smudge and Rusty left to their housefolk. The two twolegs ran to Smudge and Rusty and picked them up with open arms. As the two twolegs and the two kittypets went back inside, Starpaw turned around and started walking deeper in the forest. Starpaw closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she walked. Then, oof! Starpaw bumpd into something. She opened her eyes and looked up to see Ravenclaw. "Oh, no." mumbled Starpaw. Ravenclaw held his gaze with Starpaw's eyes. She knew that this gaze was much different from the one he gave her when they first met. Before, it was full of warmth. While here, cold. Ravenclaw hissed, "Mhm. Camp. Now." The two cats stayed near each other as they troted back to camp. They didn't even look at each other or even made a peep. Ravenclaw had changed for sure, but the question was why. This thought echoed in Starpaw's mind. As the two cats entered the camp, Ravenclaw left Starpaw's side and of course he went to Firestar's den. Starpaw hurried and troted towards Graypaw and Bluepaw. "I can't believe you caught an adder Graypaw! Did it bite you?" asked Bluepaw with her eyes that told both cats that she was very fond of Graypaw's skill. Graypaw eyed Bluepaw and joked, "Like it had the chance fur-ball! I was obviously too quick for it." Bluepaw realized something and asked, "Oh yeah! Starpaw you probably don't know this, but every full moon there is a gathering of the 4 clans." Graypaw licking his paws nodded his head. "Well, who do you think Firestar will take to the gathering then? This is going to be an important one since it is the first gathering since WindClan left." meowed Starpaw. Bluepaw looked at Starpaw and nodded in argreement. "Sandpaw and Dustpaw have been to the gathering twice already. Maybe Firestar will pick us to go this time. I mean, we have been training for at least 3 moons now." informed Graypaw. Before Bluepaw can add on to Graypaw, a certain meow from a certain grumpy cat rose. "Firestar would like to see you in his den. Now, if you can spare the time," hissed Ravenclaw as he meant that Starpaw would be too busy talking to her family at the twolegs dens. Graypaw gulped down and went back to grooming himself and eating his mouse. As Starpaw trotted to Firestar's den, she wondered how much trouble she would get into. She just got out of trouble from Goldendust. Turns out, Starpaw is a magnet to punishments. Starpaw kept her head down as she walked in. Starpaw looked up and in that spilt second, her eyes locked in a gaze of his. "Care to explain why Ravenclaw has come yelling about you meeting up with two kittypets."
