Bluepaw and Graypaw went over near the bush and flicked their tails. It was telling Starpaw that they knew her well enough and wanted to talk to her more before Goldendust had to prove her innocence. "You told Goldendust everything, didn't you?" meowed Bluepaw. Starpaw looked at her paw as she replied, "Yeah, but I couldn't see her get accused like that! But, she won't leave. She trust Firestar to be fair to her." Ravenclaw looked at Bluepaw and then to Starpaw. Together, Bluepaw and Graypaw meowed, "We trust you Starpaw, and that means we trust Goldendust, too." Outside of the apprentices talk, Longtail and was talking to the cats who didn't go to the gathering. "What happened?" asked Dustpaw. "Brokenstar demended hunting right in our territory!" yowled Longtail. "He also warned us about a rogue ShadowClan cat, that will harm our kits." added Darkstripe. As the ThunderClan cats gathering around under the Tall Rock, the big rock that leaders stand on during clan meeting, Ravenclaw dragged Goldendust by the tail to considering wheither it would hurt or now, as if she was a toy. "What is this. I don't remeber giving orders to attack our prisoner." meowed Firestar. "Thank, StarClan that we got back in time, the kits are safe" meowed Spottedleaf. "Of course, they are!" replied Firestar. "Are we still going to throw her out?" asked Dustpaw. "No, why should we? Just kill her!" hissed Ravenclaw. "And why would we do that? What did she do?" ordered Firestar. Then, Darkstripe yowled, "You were at the gathering, Firestar. You heard Brokenstar say that sh-" Firestar interupted Darkstipe and annouced, "Brokenstar only said that a rogue was somewhere in the woods. He did not say her name. And look, the kits are safe. As long as she is in my clan, with me as leader, she will not be harmed in any way." Goldendust slowly go up to her paw and looked at the ground as she struggled to meow, "I-I-I will leave now, if that is what you wish Firestar." Firestar lifted Goldendust's head and responded with, "There is no need. You did not do anything wrong and you do not need to fret over any harm during your stay. However, we should be discussing the real threat, Brokenstar." Firestar got up on the Tall Rock and yowled for a meeting. "Cats of ThunderClan, please listen as this is very important. We have already prepared for an attack from ShadowClan. We must potrol our borders more frequently. WindClan is gone, RiverClan has given hunting rights to ShadowClan warriors, ThunderClan stands alone to Brokenstar." announced Firestar. "And we won't give in to Brokenstar's demands." Ravenclaw added on. "Clans have never given hunting rights before, they have always mangaged to support themselves in their own territory. Therefore, there is no reason it should change." meowed Firestar. "But can we defend ourselves against a ShadowClan? WindClan is known for their speed, and they failed. While, RiverClan has an adventage of being able to use the rivers as battlefields, but they didn't even try!" yowled Smallear. Smallear was a ThunderClan elder who had small ears, but had great senses. He could sense danger, he has before from the stories that him and the elders tell often. "We must try, we will not give up without a fight. I will travel to the moonstone tomorrow the Warriors of StarClan we give me the strength to lead ThunderClan in this dark time. You all should get some rest, we all have a lot to do when daylight comes. I wish to talk alone with Rednose now." replied Firestar as the meeting was over and cats went back to their duties. "What's the moonstone?" asked Starpaw. "It's a rock underground in a cave which shines in the dark, all the leaders must spend one night there when they are first chosen. They're the spirits of StarClan that share with them." replied Bluepaw. "Share what with them?" meowed Starpaw. "That is unknown, all we know is the new leaders has to sleep near the stone and have special dreams. After that, they have the gift of nine lives and take the name star at the end." answered Bluepaw. Starpaw wanted to know more about the Moonstone, but was interupted by Ravenclaw. Ravenclaw came out of the warriors den and yelled, "Graypaw what were you thinkinng about bladdering to those apprentices!" Graypaw leaned back in fear while looking at his paws as he meowed, "I'm sorry Ravenclaw, I wasn't thinking." Then, Rednose came to Starpaw and Bluepaw. "Well, it seems that you are about to reach another important step in your training." meowed Rednose. The two apprentices looked at each other than at Rednose. "It seems that Firestar would like you two and Graypaw to accomany her on the journey to the Moonstone tomorrow." replied Rednose as Sandpaw and Dustpaw interupted him. "No fair! Sandpaw and I have been apprentices longer than they have. Why can't we go instead?" hissed Dustpaw as Sandpaw nodded in argeement. "You will make the journey soon enough for now ThunderClan will need the strength of you both. I will also remain here as well." replied Rednose as he expected the two older apprentices to repect Firestar's choice. "When will we leave?" asked Starpaw. "At dawn, go get some rest before the trip, but before then, go to Spottedleaf to collect the herbs you will need. The travel herbs will give you the strength to travel and will also control your hunger. The journey is long and the day isn't. There will be little time to hunt." meowed Rednose. "Hmh! Well, you better go see Spottedleaf, then." hissed Dustpaw as the two older apprentices left. As Starpaw and Bluepaw went up to Spottedleaf, she meowed a greeting and asked, "Are you here for the travel herbs?" Bluepaw nodded her head. "Great, there is enough for you three. These herbs will stop you hunger and will give you strength." replied Spottedleaf as she went inside her den and went out with three bags of leaves with herbs in them. "Don't eat them now, but right before you leave. I know there is still time, but, 'Travel Safely'!" mewed Spottedleaf as the apprentices left. "The journey must be long, we have never been giving herbs before. Do you know where it is?" meowed Starpaw as they settled in front of the apprentice den. "Kind of. I know that its beyond clan territory and is at the cave called Mothermouth." replied Bluepaw. "Alright, I'm here. Let's leave the herbs here for tomorrow and then take a rest before we have your first sneak-out, Starpaw." meowed Graypaw as he arrived. "You can't call it a sneak-out if the whole clan knows!" laughed Starpaw. Bluepaw looked at her and replied, "We never knew the whole clan knew about our sneak-outs, but I'm surprised." giggled Bluepaw as the three apprentices left the herbs outside the den and took a rest in their nest. Their eyes and mind soon fell asleep.
