"Oh yeah. I forgot to mention this. You should keep an eye on your kits. There has been a ShadowClan cat that has gone rogue. We drove her out a few sunhighs ago, but we don't know where she is now. That old fox dung is a mangy old creature and has a bite like fury." hissed Brokenstar where every cat can sense the hatred from his voice. TunderClan cats started to mumble words in which only their clan heard, "Is he talking about Goldendust??" yowled a few cats. "It must be Goldendust he is talking about." hissed others. Starpaw turned to face Bluepaw and Graypaw as she meowed, "Is it really Goldendust he's talking about?!" Bluepaw shugged her shoulders, while Graypaw stared at the two younger apprentice as he whispered, "We'll find out, if we continue paying attention to what he's saying!" RiverClan cats started to mumble concern as well. "She's dangerous! I'm warning you, do not offer any shelter to her and until she's caught and killed, watch your kits very carefully!" warned Brokenstar. "Well, she did snap at Goldenflower's kits the other day." meowed one of ThunderClan's warriors. Goldenflower was a queen at ThunderClan. "And we left her behind with the kits unguarded!" yowled one of the elders. "I told you we couldn't trust her! Firestar can't let her stay, or else she'll harm our young!" replied Longtail to the elder. "Well, she can be mouse-dung sometimes, but I don't really believe that Goldendust can be a danger to kits." meowed Bluepaw to Graypaw and Starpaw. "We must return to camp at once and deal with this rogue." Rednose said to another warrior. Starpaw was very surprised and how Rednose was actually believing this, but then again his kits are also in danger as his mate Frostfur had left her kits with another queen to come to this gathering as she also needed a break. Starpaw saw Frostfur walk up to Rednose with fear in her eyes as Rednose went over to her and licked her behind the ears in comfort. "I have to go and warn Goldendust!" meowed Starpaw to her friends. "Wait, Starpaw!" yowled Bluepaw. Graypaw put his tail over Bluepaw's mouth to silence her. "Let her. None of us believe Goldendust would do that, but the clan does. For now, let's stay silent so she doesn't get in trouble, again." The two friends chuckled as they sat back down and relaxed a bit. Starpaw rushed through the crowd and out into the woods. She left Fourtrees, the place where the gathering was held, faster than you can see 'Twolegs are fox-dungs.' All she could think about is how Goldendust just didn't seem to be that cat to do that despite her attitude. Starpaw rushed into a calmer state as she made it into the ThunderClan's camp. "Goldendust! Goldendust! Goldendust!" yowled Starpaw as she was trying to wake Goldendust up while she was napping in her nest. "You better have a good reason to wake me up and leave the gathering so early." hissed Goldendust. "It's Brokenstar! He's trying to get the others to turn against you!" replied Starpaw. Goldendust sat down and had her gaze full of anger, but Starpaw saw a flick of fear and disappointment. "So, he kept his promise." meowed Goldendust. "What promise?" asked Starpaw will a bit of worry in her tone. Goldendust sighed as she growled, "ShadowClan's noble leader promised to drive me from every clan's territory!" Starpaw rushed in relief to her gut telling her that Goldendust was more than it seems. "He said that you were a danger to the kits as long as we sheltered the ShadowClan rogue. He didn't say your name, but it was obvious that he was refering to you. But, forget that! You have to leave before the others get back and hurt you!" yelled Starpaw, as much as rude as Goldendust's attitude was, she was still kind hearted deep in her heart. Goldendust eyes well into a gaze with Starpaw as she yowled, "You mean that they actually believe Brokenstar!" Starpaw replied with, "Darkstripe said about how you were dangerous and the other cats are worried about what'll you will do and with Ravenclaw, I think that you must go before that others get back, but what did Brokenstar mean when he said to keep an eye on your kits? Will you actually do something like that?" Goldendust yeeted her head back and hissed, "Would I what?!?" Starpaw looked at her paws and mewed, "Would you actually think that you'll hurt our kits?" Starpaw expected her to yell at her saying that she wouldn't do such a thing, but instead she used her paw to lift Starpaw's eyes to meet hers. Instead of anger, she saw sadness and some cat that felt like she was actually alone. "Do you think I would?" asked Goldendust will such a heartbreaking tone. Starpaw knew that under all that attitude was a cats who was alive with flesh, blood, and feelings. "D-D-do you believe Brokenstar like the others?" Goldendust meowed so quietly since tears started to fall down her face. Starpaw straightened up and took her paws to wipe Goldendust's tearsas she meowed, "Never. And don't worry, I'm sure I can convice others to beli- know the truth. I already got Bluepaw and Graypaw, as well." Goldendust wrapped her head around Starpaw in a hug, Starpaw returned the hug too. 'Goldendust isn't a monster like the others think so. She's kind and caring once you get to know her.' thought Starpaw. The caring moment was interupted when Starpaw and Goldendust heard, "I can't believe we actually let Goldendust in our camp!" Starpaw knew it was Longtail. "Oh, StarClan. Please, let my kits be alive when I get there!" yowled Frostfur. "They will, don't worry. Firestar you can't let stay here." meowed Rednose. "I'll get her when my eyes fall on her!" yowled Darkstripe. "Oh no! Goldendust please you have to get out of here!" meowed Starpaw as she was desprite to not have her die in front of her. Before, Starpaw could protest more, Goldendust interupted her. "Starpaw, wait! You believe that I'm innocent, and I'm grateful for that, but if you believe others can, too. I know Firestar will give me a fair hearing. I can't fun forever, I'm much too old. I shall stay here and face whatever your clan decides for me." meowed Goldendust with a caring tone as if she was talking to her own kit. "But what about Ravenclaw what if he-" meowed Starpaw which she was interupted. "Ravenclaw is headstrong, he knows the power that he has over the clan cats. They are in awe with him, but even he will obey Firestar. You must trust your leader, as he trust you." replied Goldendust. "But, Goldendus-" mewed Starpaw as she was inturupted again. "Starpaw, stop whining like a kit and leave so you don't get into trouble being seen here with me. I've only been here for a few sunhighs and I can already tell how much trouble you can get without this happening. So go, and thank you for trusting me, and don't forget trust your leader. Firestar will be fair and you must trust him." meowed Goldendust as Starpaw jumped and hid in the bush behind Goldendust's nest so she could still hear what was going on.
