"Come on! We can't hold the others up any longer!" yelled Rednose to all the cats in the group. Firestar lifted his gaze to the path in front of him. "Let's go." Firestar meowed with a calm and stern tone. The group ran through the forest each keeping close to one another. Starpaw looked at Bluepaw and Graypaw who looked at her and held the gaze. The three friends started giggling until Firestar flicked his tail to order the clan cats to stop. Starpaw squeezed through to look at the path ahead. "Take a sniff Starpaw. What do you smell?" asked Firestar as Starpaw went to the front. Starpaw turned her head to the side in confusion. "Well, I am your mentor. Take a sniff in the air and tell me what you smell." Starpaw lifted her nose to the air and sniffed it. "I smell a lot of cats. Cats from RiverClan, the ones that attacked us at Sunnyrocks are here, too. And a strong smell, kind of stinks like the Thunderpath." meowed Starpaw. Firestar giggled as he meowed, "Yes, RiverClan is here. That unknown smell are ShadowClan cats." Starpaw nodded her head as she went to take a sniff. 'I can't be the only one not to know what ShadowClan cats smell like' she thought. "Let's go." order Firestar as he flicked his tail when he started to trot down to Fourtrees. Bluepaw, Graypaw, and Starpaw regrouped again as they made it to Fourtrees. "Woah, so many cats." mumbled Starpaw. She didn't know these many cats would be here. "I know right. Look, that's Splashstar, RiverClan's leader." meowed Bluepaw. "Where?" asked Starpaw as Graypaw was standing next to them looking down below to all the cats. "Over there, he's that light-colored tabby right beside the Great Rock." Starpaw caught an eye on him and meowed, "Woah! He's huge!" Rednose popped up behind them, "Come on, you don't want to be left behind do you?" The three cats turned around and shook their heads as they followed Rednose down closer to the cats. "Look, Look! There's Brokenstar, ShadowClan's leader!" yowled Graypaw as he spotted him. Brokenstar was full-on black cat with scars all around him big body. "He looks, woah." meowed Starpaw as she never imaged big cat like him with that amount of scars. "Yeah, he's pretty popular for not giving mercy on fools. He hasn't been leader for long. It's only been a moon since his father, Raggedstar died." informed Bluepaw on a whisper for only the three to hear. "Where is WindClan's leader?" asked Starpaw. "Oh, TallStar? I've never seen him. All I know is that he is a black and white cat who is very tall with an even taller tail." Starpaw wondered if WindClan was ever going to show up,but only ended up saying, "They are probably just late." Graypaw started getting unpatient and meowed, "When is the meeting going to start?" Then, a white cat appeared behind him, he was a ThunderClan senior warrior. "Be patient, Graypaw. There still will be plenty of time. Meet some new people meanwhile." meowed Whitestormas he walked away. Firestar gave along to the three cats. His pelt showed flames, flames, and fire in this light. "This is a perfect time to meet others. Listen to them and learn their behaviors. These cats are those you will meet in battle, that's for sure." whispered Firestar as he past by. Followed by Firestar was Ravenclaw. Ravenclaw looked them in the eyes and whispered even quieter, "Say very little. Don't give away any information that could be used against us." Ravenclaw followed Firestar aways from them. "Welp, I'm going to find Rednose. Coming Graypaw?" meowed Bluepaw. "No, thanks. I'm taking this time to meet other apprentices." meowed Graypaw. "I'm going to see where Ravenclaw went." meowed Starpaw as she wasn't sure what to think of the warrior. "Okay, I guess we'll meet up later." meowed Bluepaw as the three apprentices went to do their wantings. As Starpaw searched for Ravenclaw, she ended up seeing others surronding him as he was telling a story, "Three cats surrounded me.." Ravenclaw continued, Starpaw heard as he was telling the story of the battle of two deaths. "He didn't mention killing Oakheart in revenge of Yellowfang's death. Maybe he didn't want to sound rude to the RiverClan warriors. But, he isn't even nice to his own clan, half of the time. Eh." thought Starpaw as she walked on else where. Starpaw walked up to her mentor, Firestar. "Firestar?" Starpaw softly meowed. "Yes?" Firestar meowed as he turned around. "WindClan isn't here yet. Are they not coming?" meowed Starpaw as she tried, but didn't succeed in hiding her worries. "No worries. There still is time for the Gathering." meowed Firestar. Firestar nudged Starpaw away meaning as he was telling her to go on and meet with new cats. Starpaw knew that Firestar knew what was best, so she went on till she found Bluepaw. "Starpaw, over here! Look over there. That's Runningnose, he's the new medicine cat for ShadowClan after Goldendust." meowed Bluepaw. "I can see why they call him that." giggled Starpaw as the medicine cat had a running nose. "I know right. This guy can't even cure his own cold!" laughed Bluepaw in a soft tone. "Since the Twolegs came and filled the forest with hard earth and strange flowers, the herbs have nowhere to be found! And our kits have died needlessly from the cold" he told the group of cats around him. An elder that was around Runningnose came out and yowled, "This wouldn't have happened back in the great clans! They would have killed any Twolegs that stepped into their territory!" A ShadowClan queen added on, "TigerClan would have taken care of the Twolegs before any harm could come." Starpaw overheard the cats and turned to Bluepaw and asked her, "What's TigerClan?" Blupaw sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws. Starpaw knew it was going to be a long, so she did the same.
