It was not fair, Celesti cried silently as she recalled the ending of the book. After reading the manhwa she burned it fearing anyone else finding it. Since that day she promised herself, she would not allow any harm to come to her family. It was only a few days later that a change happened. Something she didn't expect. Walking up one-morning Celesti took a heavy fever becoming bedridden for weeks. Her family grew worried about her health, calling for any healer or temple priest to find the meaning of her illness. Then on the night, she recovered her body illuminated a warm light. A marking appearing in her chest before waking up completely fine.
Her family in shock realized she had finally received her blessing from the empire's guardian. Becoming the White doe's daughter.
Now at seventeen her knowledge of her gifts grew slowly. With the ability to heal medium wounds and make small crops grow. The people were in awe of the princess.
But this wasn't something she had had in the book storyline. So what had changed? Her knowledge of this world?
She wasn't going to allow this change to go to waste. If she had to she would marry that cold emperor. But she would not do the same thing said in that book. She would make sure not to fall for the emperor and stay out of the way. So that after the first year of their marriage when he meets the foreign girl. She'll ask for her freedom back. The emperor who doesn't care for her at all would most likely grant it, wanting nothing but to have her out of his life.
Clenching her hands she looked at herself through the mirror. Her expression filled with determination. Hearing the sound of a door knock she snapped out of her thoughts. Turning she watched with a smile as the door shyly opened before two small heads popped out. The twins Seren and Lupus. Seren the oldest twin had a more energetic expression while Lupus's expression was shyer with a sleepy expression in his eyes.
"My sweet little stars." Celesti smiled as she turned in her chair. The two happily rushed over into her waiting arms. Sitting on her lap as they clung to her dress. Smiling she brushed her hands through both the children's light snow silver hair. Seren's was more wavy reaching her small shoulders while Lupus' was more straight like Sirius. His hair reaching his chin with bangs brushed to the right side of his face. Both children were little angels in her heart. At the thought of them in that tower made Celesti's heart clench. Promising herself she would protect her little angels. To watch them grow and live happily.
"Cece, Mama said you're getting married. Is that true?" Seren asked with tugging on Celesti's sleeve. Lupus silently played with her long strands of hair. His sleepy eyes gazing up at her with questioning eyes as well.
"Yes, I'm afraid so," Celesti spoke out softly her hand reaching out to play with Lupus' hair as he curled into her clenching on her dress. Not wanting her to go.
"But why?" The oldest of the two asked for the two.
"Well, it's hard to explain why. But I want the people of Celestia to remain happy. And this land to remain how it is." Celesti said laughing softly at the confusion in her little sister's eyes.
"Don't worry. you'll understand when you're older." Celesti assured the two.
"Okay..." Seren traced off sadly. Thinking Celesti's eyes widen before letting out a smile.
"Seren, do you remember the meaning of our names?"
"Of course! Father and mother named us after the stars. The stars that protect over Celestia's silver tree with the guidance of the white doe. Celestia's spirit guardian."
Seren recited proudly recalling the words she had learned in her lectures. Smiling at the confidence in Seren's eyes Celesti felt proud of her little sister.
"Yes, and that means as stars. We are connected by the night's sky. so we are always together."
