Chapter 12 - The three weapons of Celestia

Walking down the passage the light of the candles flickered against the stone walls. His footsteps echoing through the hall. Rigel soon found himself standing before a pair of giant stone doors. Runes covered the large doors. A large star stood at the top of the doors. Centered between the antlers of the silver deer. Along the runes laid the carvings of each star of the royal family. The doors locked up with magic to only open to those of Celestia blood. Raising his hand Rigel winced lightly as he felt a burn in his chest. The stars lit up as they recognized their descent before the doors opened. Stepping inside Rigel's felt at awe at the scenery in front of him. No matter how many times he entered the sacred garden it always felt like the first time. His heartwarming feeling at home as he felt the holy aura vibrate from the sacred silver tree. Its body glowing with warmth, showing a feeling of a mother to all the Celestia children. Pastel blue roses grew around the surrounding area. The scared garden was shaped in a dome-like shape. Stone walls covered with plants with an opening at the top to allow sunlight in.

As his eyes gazed over the surrounding garden his eyes caught sight of his sister. Standing still in front of the silver tree. Her eyes locked to the tree in front of her with an unreadable look on her face.

Smiling sadly Rigel made his way over silently standing beside her.

"Somehow, I knew you would come here," Rigel spoke out after a minute of silence. Smiling softly Celesti looked over at her older brother. A wind passing through her hair as her white dress ruffled slightly. She looked beautiful yet sad.

"Do you remember the first time father let us come here?" Frowning Rigel looked down at the ground his hand clenching over his sword.

"How could I forget."

"We were only children then, Brother Sirius was seven, you were six, and I was only five then."

"We didn't get to experience much of our childhood after that day." Rigel chuckled lowly closing his eyes.

"No, we didn't. But I don't regret it." Celesti spoke out honestly with a small smile. Her hand reaching out to touch her chest.

"We became the three-star pillars of Celestia's Kingdom. Our runes bond us to our contracts and to the Silver tree." Sirius spoke out as he walked over to his two younger siblings. Turning the two siblings looked over at their older brother with a smile.

"I see we all think the same way," Celesti said with a chuckle as Sirius moved to stand on the other side of her. With a sigh, Sirius looked up at the tree before looking over to his siblings.

"It's because of our contract that we'll always bond to each other," Sirius added to her words.

"The sword, the shield, and the saint. The three sacred pillars. The names that were given in our honor. How laughable, behind those honorable titles the only thing we really were were the three weapons of Celestia." Rigel let out a bitter chuckle his fist clenching over his sword. A habit he had developed.

"We all swore on our blood and the sacred tree that day. Forming contracts with the three sacred beasts and having the contract seal burned into our chest. It will be our burden to carry. Our lives will carry and end with the sacred tree." Sirius spoke out bringing a frown on both his siblings' faces.

"We bonded our souls to each other in order to become the pillars. Giving our lives to the silver doe. She became our mother. Only with her help, we were able to save this empire back then. And we'll always follow her." Celesti spoke out clenching her hand over her chest. Her heart hitting against her chest as she recalled that day.

Their mother and her words spoken that day.

"My children."
