The sun was shining brightly that afternoon. Beautiful, innocent afternoon for a child. In the gardens, a young girl laughed happily as she chased after her older brother. Their eldest brother sat underneath a tree reading a book.
It was a happy moment until the last grains of the hourglass fell. Like a thunderstorm, the bright world turned dark. Even the bright moon has a dark side. Shadow creatures that had lurked in the shadows came forth trying to eat away at any light within its reach. The bright aura of Celestia's crystals and the sacred tree became a target. And with the danger that had befallen the kingdom war struck. The war carried on a whole year before that night came. Their father with a heavy heart had no choice but to bring his children into the sacred tree.
The first time they stood in front of the tree they didn't understand their mother's tears until the doors closed behind them locking them inside the sacred garden. They had fallen asleep holding one another before a light shined down on the silver tree. A small child appearing before them. A young girl with antlers and long overgrown hair. Her eyes filled with fondness as she smiled at the three. Her appearance was that of a child yet her eyes ages beyond her.
"Descendants of the blessed child. What is your wish?" Upon her questioned the tree looked at one another before Sirius stepped forward.
"The war...is there any way to stop it?" The silver doe looked at the three children before her silently.
"The shadows will always seek out the light. Darkness fills any corner if this world. But where there is darkness there is light. No matter how small it may be. The stars will always light the night." Her words were like a riddle the three were unable to follow.
"Can't you stop it?" Celesti spoke out shyly to the sacred being in front of her. It's clear eyes turning to look at her silently.
"You were the one born with a leaf from the silver tree. Yet you hold none of its gifts." Feeling the need to protect his sister Rigel moved in front of his younger sister giving the silver doe a hard look.
"Three children, the three young Celestia stars. Young but brave." The silver spoke out calmly a small gentle smile grazing her face.
"If you truly wish to save your empire step forward. But know now, doing this you leave behind the selves you are now. You will be bond to the silver tree. You blood becoming my own. A second name you must never whisper will bond you to the heart. Is that truly what you wish?" The silver doe asked as she raised her hand. A sphere of white light appearing before her. Nervously the three gazed at the orb before Sirius stepped forward. Staring at one another Celesti and Rigel soon followed after their eldest brother. Joining hands the three reached out to their orb. Flinching back when they felt a burning cutting sensation at their fingers. Three droplets of blood hovered in the air before turning silver. The blood was soon absorbed into the silver doe's own body and in that instant, the light orb sprung forward burning a sealed contract into their chest.
From the shock, the three fell unconscious. It felt as if they had fallen into a deep sleep for a very long time. The growing feeling of a burning star creeping in their chest soon woke them up.
They no longer found themselves in the sacred garden but in the forest of the silver doe. The doe had left them the challenge of finding a beast to form a contract with. The three with difficulty went their separate ways knowing the beasts would not show themselves if they were together.
One by one through trials they gained the trust and formed contracts with the fire, water, and air beasts.
One of the steps that would lead them to the battlefield field that haunted their nightmares for years to come.
