Chapter 8 - Sword practice

The sun's heat waves shined its warmth on Celestia's white Empire. After Celestia's recovery years ago the people's lands flourished. Snow still covered the majority of their lands but with the white doe's blessing warmth reached throughout the land. The homes were built with the walls and roofs painted white in honor of their guardian spirit. The castle built with white stone marble as large crystals grew through the surrounding castle. The land seeming like a winter wonderland.

The people were happy and the lands peaceful.

In that peaceful afternoon, a group of castle maids huddled in awe with hearts in their eyes. Their hearts racing as the second eldest prince came out into the castle grounds. The prince's butler stood by a round table filled with the afternoon tea and cookies. A smile placed on his face as his dark black hair gleamed under the sun.

The prince dressed in a loose white button shirt and dark blue pants. His long strands of hair pulled back with a ribbon as his hand was placed over his sword. With a small sigh, he turned to place a polite smile turning to the maids. Instantly like arrows shooting through their heart the girls squealed out.

Hearing the sound of footsteps he turned around. A happier smile crossing his face as Celesti walked out. Instead of wearing a dress she wore a loose white long-sleeved shirt with a blue vest over. A pair of black pants with a pair of boots. Her long hair held back in a high ponytail. Placed at her hips hung her shielded sword. Its silver handle grip gleamed as a silver leaf embedded into the pommel. Her sword similar to her brothers had the same engraving design of the silver tree around the grip and cross-guard. Created with silver and Celestia's Crystal's a small crystal was embedded into the rain guard with their individual colors. Handpicked by the princes and princesses. Sirius ' was an emerald color. Rigel's hard a ruby crystal while Celesti's carried a white sapphire. Inside each crystal laid the spirit familiars they formed a contract with as children. The fuller part of the sword carried Celestia's crystals as the silver of the sword gleamed of it.

Celestia's swords were unlike any other and for that reason on royal family were allowed to have.

With a grin, Rigel observed his sister who stared back at him with a calm expression.

"You ready little sis?" Nodding her head she moved into her striking form one hand placed over her sword. Amused her brother got into the same form before charging forward bringing out his sword. With sharp eyes, Celesti charged forward dodging her brother's sword before taking out her own. Striking back Rigel blocked her sword with his own pushing her back. Jumping in the air she landed back on the ground quickly charging forward. Her movements were swift as she skriked forward with the sword. Each of her strikes blocked by her brother who held a calm grinning expression. One arm placed behind his back as he blocked her with one arm.

"Don't lose your concentration," Rigel ordered his eyes narrowing as he moved forward so quickly that he reappeared behind her back. Looking back at him Celesti quickly shifted away from his sword jumping back a distance away.

"Good." Rigel grinned before charging forward their roles switching as she blocked his sword each time.

"Don't let them corner you. Always look for the upper hand." Rigel instructed her. Frowning Celesti calmed her breathing observing his movements before a small smirk crossed her face. When he charged forward she suddenly leaped stepping on to his sword. Flipped she gripped on to his shoulders as she jumped over him. Jumped back a distance she closed her eyes a heat coming off her sword before she cut through the air. White energy appearing from the sword as a white ice bird emerged letting out a blast of ice aimed towards Rigel.

Seeing this Rigel only smirked before calling out his own familiar. With a cry, a firebird emerged before letting out its own blast of fire. Ice and Fire clashed with one another as the two siblings held their guard up not allowing the other's strength to outdo them.

Suddenly another bird cry broke through the fight before a harsh wind broke through as green shards pierced through the two other bird familiars attacks. With cries, the two birds vanished back into their swords.

Looking up out of breath Rigel and Celesti's eyes widen.

"Brother!"

"Brother Sirius!"

Standing a distance between the two Sirius stood calmly. Dressed in his sapphire-colored royal clothes he had his sword out. His bird familiar cried out loudly as it flew above him. Standing much larger than Rigel or Sirius. Its emerald feathers gleaming with power its red eyes stared down at the two siblings.

"Thank you, Slyph," Sirius said calmly before placing his sword back in its scabbard. The bird let out one more cry before vanishing.

"Did you come to play too Sirius?" Rigel asked playful. Ignoring his brother Sirius only stared at the two calmly.

"Maybe next time, Father would like to speak to the three of us."
