Durst rose and filled the road hiding the back of the car that sprinted through the gravel road of the villages. The road was not smooth, maintained and tared like the city road, however the driver didn't care for the turbulence. A trip that would usually take six hours, took a mere three hours. Marcellus King was too anxious to get to the village lest he misses her.
He saw a man tracking by the road on foot and slammed on the breaks. He opened the door and anxiously asked the man "Excuse me," he took out Bailey's picture and showed the man "Have you see the woman around?"
David Snyman was shocked and his heart skipped a beat. The man before looked handsome, powerful and rich. Why was he looking for his Sweetness? Is it that her past has finally caught up with her? No, not now, not before he got her to all inlove with him. But the man's aura was too powerful and even when he wanted to lie, he couldn't withstand the pressure and blurted out "She's at the hospital"
"Where's the hospital?" Marcel asked impatiently.
"I uhm I'll take you there, I'm also going there" David answered.
Marcel allowed her into the car and drove off. After a while of silence David finally gathered enough courage to ask "H... ho... how... how do you know her?" he stuttered.
"She's my wife" Marcel answered curtly without blinking.
David felt like air couldn't come into his lungs, he felt suffocated and his eyes stung with tears. His Sweetness was married? How? Of all the times he had ever felt hopeless, he had never felt despair such as this. Looking at the man on the driver's seat, and the car he was driving, he was sure he could never compete even if he wanted to. He now knew what hopelessness felt like.
He was snapped out of his despair before his tears could fall, "Which way should I go?" Marcell asked as he came to a fourway stop.
"Le...left" David answered, his throat dry. He looked like a man who had lost everything. He wore hopelessness like a robe and pain like a cape. Now he knew why she never loved her, her love for this handsome deity must've been edged into her soul. I mean just looking at him, no girl wouldn't fall for him.
He didn't even know when they got to the hospital, getting out he heard the man asking a nurse with much passion about his Sweetness... no, she was never really his sweetness. She was already someone else's sweetness way before he had ever met her.
He was jolted out of his reverie when he heard the man scream "Find her!" David half jogged to them and asked the nurse by the side what is going, he couldn't believe his ears when he heard that Bailey had been missing for two hours already.
Marcel felt like he was having a dé já vú, he had been through this once before and he wasn't sure if he will survive it the second time. It was like she was a phantom, one minute she was there and the next she wasn't. No, no, no... He wouldn't let her slip through his hands once again, he had to find her. He searched every ward, every locker, every office. He couldn't be stopped and even if they tried he was too emotional to let himself be stopped.
After two hours of searching and re-searching the premises, Marcel felt his soul threaten to leave his body. He breathing became labored and his chest hurt. He couldn't accept the reality. The only solid lead in six months only for it to be dead end, no he wouldn't have that. He searched the premises again.
When the sun tipped its nose into the mountains, Marcel knelt down on the floor and screamed in tears.
