It had been three long days since Marcellus King came to the village hospital, he kept searching the place and even when the staff wanted to stop him, he was like a madman who wouldn't let anyone talk to him or touch him. He kept seeing Bailey Harper in every female that he passed, had to blink twice before he could see clear his vision.
"Son" an older nurse cautiously came to him and said "You haven't eaten or drank anything in three days, if you continue like this you will die before you find Bailey" she persuaded. When Marcel heard that his mind cleared a bit, yes, he was here to look for Bailey. He shouldn't loose himself yet, not when he hadn't found her. He stood up and robotically followed the nurse to the small cafeteria and they offered him soup to drink.
When he couldn't find Bailey the first day, something in him snapped. No matter how strong and fierce he was to the outside world, he still couldn't bring himself to have enough courage to accept that he had lost her again. Now the nurse reminded him that he needed to take care of himself for him to be able to find her. He felt it deep within that she wasn't too far, he needed to just keep looking.
After he drank the soup he left the hospital and drove back to the city. His businesses had been on a hiatus, not growing or shrinking. But now he realized he needed to grow his business for him to have wider means of finding her.
On the other side of the hospital, Loretta May was just being discharged. She looked haggard and old. Even with a black heart, she felt the pain of having her child removed from her uterus. She felt that a part of her was being left there at the hospital. She didn't even have the energy or power to take care of her looks.
The more she thought about her lost child that she brutally had removed from her uterus, the more hatred she felt for Bailey Harper. Because had it not been for Bailey occupying Claw's heart, she wouldn't have had to be forced to abort her child.
Her eyes burnt with hatred as she texted Claw that she had indeed aborted so that he could remove her from his blacklist. She smiled bitterly when she read his reply that read "Good girl, come see tonight"
He didn't even ask about her well-being, all he cared about was his needs being met.
Lor: Am still in the villages, won't make it tonight.
She texted back. She was still in too much pain to see him. She will just drive back to her apartment and bawl her eyes out until she got over the loss of her child, she told herself.
When she read the pregnancy test came back positive, her stomach tied into a knot and her heart leaped in joy. She had been too excited and immediately went to Claw's place to share the good news. But who knew her joy would be short lived. The amount of joy she felt was equal to the amount of pain she felt when Claw ruthlessly said "Abort it" without blinking. She could still hear his voice and the tone he had used.
She didn't even know she was crying until someone knocked on her car window startling her. She didn't even know how she moved from the nurse's station to her car. She quickly wiped her tears and asked hoarsely "What?"
"Uhm, ma'am" David said cautiously, "Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah, what do you want?" Loretta asked.
"Can I catch a ride with you to the city" he said "I suspect that Sweet... I mean, Bailey has found her way to the city and I need to go to the city to find her"
That sentence made Loretta's face pale in shock, she had been too engrossed in her things that she had forgotten about Bailey. She had gotten too comfortable these past six months not having to think about Bailey at all. It was like the thorn in her side had died and now it has resurrected.
