Chapter 1 - Why me? Like, why? I'm sure other people would appreciate this more so like why am I here?

It has been six hours since I arrived in the new world... and it sucks.

~~~
A day ago, Bai Chen awaited the release for her favourite game eagerly in front of the gamestep. Loaded with the exact amount in cash she needed and her identity card, it was a few minutes before the door opened and she would rush into the store. Bai Chen bragged on the group chat constantly to her few friends... who weren't online.
Uggh! Who would expect she would die by accidentally slamming her head into the glass store door and falling on a spiky shard of plastic, hitting her temple and instantly killing her! Pick up your rubbish, dmanit!
At first, Bai Chen was excited in this world and thought 'finally, my turn to reincarnate and escape my mediocrity, soaring into the legends!'... She didn't expect to be reincarnated into this trash world.
When Bai Chen arrived, she was planted in front of a scene of a girl with red, wavy hair sobbing on marble floor in front of her. She was held down by two men, seemingly in some uniform. The girl, who could at most be fourteen or fifteen shrilly screamed, "She stole my fiance! How dare you seduce the prince, you wench. A mere baron's daughter such as yourself dares to go against the royal family's wishes of the prince's engagement. Don't think you'll get away with this!" The girl gritted her teeth and stared at Bai Chen with ferocity in her emerald eyes.
Wait... why is she looking at me? And where am I?
Just as Bai Chen was about to look around and try to figure out where she was, a firm hand gripped her shoulder, rubbing it with his thumb in a soothing fashion.
She looked up, seeing his shoulder length blonde hair dangle behind his ears. He had a strong jaw line and unnaturally sky blue eyes. "Veronica De Blanc, How dare you criticise [Lily]. She has not done anything wrong. I am pursuing her, by no means has she seduced me so how dare you target her. Jealousy truly is a sickness." His crisp voice read out. It was only at the name 'lily' that the voice robotised, almost sounding like the male siri.
'Eh?'
Why am I being patted?
Who is Lily?
Who am I?
Where am I?
She removed the young creep's hand off her shoulder and looked around. Bai Chen, the creep, a few other boys and the lady pinned to the ground were in the centre of a ballroom. At least fifty to seventy people surrounded them, all with either malicious smirks, shocked expressions, or excitement on their faces. It was like Bai Chen and the rest in the middle were performers and they were the audience. The by-standers gossiped incessantly.
Everyone, including the weirdo, were at most fifteen to sixteen.
The blonde boy started talking again, "See, you shocked her! Don't scare [Lily]." He patted Bai Chen's head endearingly. She looked up at him curiously, while he returned the look with sparkles in his eyes.
Wait... what?
There was literal sparkles in his eyes.
Was he diseased?
The more Bai Chen looked over at him the more confused she became. It was like there was flowers blossoming everywhere he went, literally. There was a pile of flowers behind him that stacked to his height and petals fell from the sky. You could easily see the way he came into the room from the trail of flowers he left everywhere. The poor janitors.
Sparkly flower creep just kept talking, "I, Lucias De Francis, hereby annul our engagement!"
Lucias then turned to Bai Chen, a sense of familiarity hitting Bai Chen. He robotically said, "[Lily]." Then a sudden affection rang in his voice, "Please accept my engagement proposal."
Wait...
Bai Chen finally caught on... and ran.
She dashed out the hall with her two inch heels clacking all the way.
Bai Chen had finally realised what happened. She had reincarnated. Not only had she reincarnated but she had reincarnated into an otome world.
A/N: otome games are basically reverse harem games that are popular in japan.
In fact, she remembered playing this otome game; Doki Doki Heart. It sucked. It was one of a kind in the worst of ways. Doki Doki Heart was the one and only otome game Bai Chen had ever played. She couldn't even get through to the first save point when playing this game. It was too enraging.
Stop talking in convoluted sentences!
Are there any female characters at all? Not realistic!
Why are all the guy's so arrogant and cocky! I don't like any of you!
Bai Chen remembered playing the short amount of that game she played vividly. She felt like she was losing brain cells every second she played that game and in the end passed it down to the next sacrifice *cough cough* generation, aka her unfortunate seven year old cousin.
Bai Chen felt like internally screaming. Who left their game half finished and pushed her to complete it?! Someone else must have started it! She remembered that you could personalise the name.
Don't you sacrifice me! Come finish this cr*ppy game!
Bai Chen felt like crying however refused to stop running. Running away from this stup*d life that is!
"[Lily]!"
Bai Chen continued running, looking back to find the voice. She had run at least a kilometre yet found that an army of sparkly boys were following her. Their artificial shine blinding her eyes. There was at least ten of them.
Holy Cr*p! Are they sprinters?
In the split second she turned around, they had already caught up.
"[Lily]! Why did you leave? Please answer me. I love you!"
Bai Chen felt a chill go down her spine.
He doesn't expect me to marry him right!? No way!
