Chapter 14 - Unexpected Guests

"I will never get used to that," Aster shook his head and slowly stood up just as a group of men and woman appeared through the brush. "Pardon our delayed response. Another clan member had been attacked, leaving us short handed. Has Madame Priestess woken up?" A middle age man addressed Aster while bending forward to pick Wren up off the ground. Aster shook his head, "No, Sir Shoyo. Nothing-" "WREN!" Without warning Naya sat up and yelled out Wren's name, then just as quickly as she sprung up, she fell back unconscious.

The two men, two women, and Aster were silent and looked over to the girl who just yelled then proceeded to collapse back to the ground. "Who is she to address our Priestess so casually?" One of the women asked the others. She was rather short and thin, had pale yellow hair, fair skin, and bright yellow eyes. 'She must belong to the temple,' Aster thought to himself when he looked over to her. She was wearing a floor length pale grey dress with quarter length sleeves. She also wore a cream colored apron that had food and dye stains on various portions, and her shoulder length straight hair was neatly styled in a single short braid secured with a yellow ribbon. The women who worked in the temple always had simple yet neat appearances. "She is Madame Priestess childhood friend. Her as well as Sir Michael, are all respectively close to one another," Sir Shoyo responded.

"Gosh are you THAT new of a maid of the temple? You seem to not know your place around these matters and around the important people for that matter. Why were you brought here along side us anyhow?" One of the men who wore beige pants, brown shoes, and an olive green button up shirt, responded to the young maid with an angry and annoyed look on his face. His clear blue eyes were staring intently at the maid, seemingly trying to intimidate her, all the while the gentle breeze moved his blonde curly hair ever so slightly. He looked like a young person that belonged in movies or on magazine covers.

"Y-yes I, I am a new maid for the t-temple. My-my name is Amber and I w-was requested too ac-company S-Sir Shoyo by Sir Shoyo. My apologizes Y-Young Master C-C-Claude." The young maid, Amber, was shaking uncontrollably under the intense gaze of Claude. 'Pff, Young Master of disgrace is more like it. So entitled,' Aster giggled and thought to himself. Claude simple rolled his eyes and pushed his way past Amber and slightly crouched and bent forward until his face was almost touching Wren's.

"Sir Shoyo, do be careful with my future okay?" Claude looked down at Wren's face with longing and then looked back up to Sir Shoyo, "I won't be able to look at her if she gets any more scars on her body, make sure and take care of that. I simply came to see if it was really her." Claude stood up and began to walk away, but stopped and turned towards Aster. "Oh and do call me when she wakes up little boy, you do know how right?" Claude made eye contact with Aster who was sitting back on his feet next to Sir Shoyo with his hands on his knees. Aster felt sweat trickle down his back, 'This guy is a real piece of work!' Aster made fists with his hands, gritted his teeth, did his best to fake a smile, and nodded towards Claude's comment.

Without another word Claude vanished, using his teleporting technique to travel to an unknown place. Once he was gone everyone around, including Sir Shoyo let out a sigh of relief. "Ugh I can't stand that guy!" Aster was the first to voice his opinion. "Aster, Young Master Claude is one of the temple's honored guests. Even if everyone around feels negatively about the situation it is best to hold your tongue, he is still the Young Master after all." Sir Shoyo gently lifted Wren into his arms while talking with Aster. His body seemed rather thin, yet he was able to pick up Wren and the tree branch with ease.

"Tch...yeah sure, "Honored guest" seemed more like an unexpected or rather unwanted guest to me. He's just so-" BONK! "Ow! Gah, Cole why on earth did you just-" *BONK!* "OW! Okay, okay I get it. I give up. You win I'll hush." Sir Shoyo smiled slightly while the others giggled. 'Wow, I heard Brother Aster was a trouble maker but I never did I think their relationship was quite like this.' Amber happily thought to herself as she began walking closer towards Sir Shoyo. "Miss Ari, would you please be so kind as to pick up Miss Naya and accompany us to my clinic?" Without hesitation Ari walked over to Naya and picked her up, "It is my duty as a Fire Unit Trainee to assist and accompany those of the temple as needed."

Ari had an athletic build accompanied with average height. She had straight, jet black hair that was cut just below her chin, a deep scar on her arm, a Fire Unit emblem tattooed on her neck, and eyes as red as blood. 'That woman is truly intimidating,' Aster quietly thought to himself as he walked near the others. 'I wonder if Madame, wait or would she be Miss, o-or Madame Master? Ugh I should have asked Sir Shoyo before we ran into them at the temple,' Amber contemplated what would be the best option in order to have as little amount of arguing as possible.

Before long the group made it out of the slightly overgrown trees that acted as a secondary wall near the main wall to the inner temple. This helped better disguise their energy flow and helped with sound, plus most clan members enjoyed nature around them. There was a small wooden fence, the wall of foliage. and a larger stone wall making up the inner layers of the temple. "Ari, Cole, come with me to my clinic to begin the process. Aster and Amber, please inform the elders we have returned with Madame Priestess and Miss Naya." All four nodded their heads and moved in their intended directions.

"Aster, are you excited to meet the Lady of the Western temple? I hear she's quite beautiful and friendly." Aster stopped dead in his tracks, "D-did you say Temple in the West?" Amber smiled and nodded, but was confused by Aster's behavior. "Ugh what bad bad...BAD luck! They really are unexpected guests. Why can't I hold more power and separate myself from her!?"
