Roseline waited for him to complete his sentence. But the lips that curled into a smile moved to one side when he completed his sentence.
" Do you love to praise yourself all the time? " Ryan broke out into laughter.
" You are an idiot, " She scolded him but those words she said was not for him but to herself for the expectations she had a while ago.
" I was just asking you to clarify my doubt, "he said.
Roseline paused for a few seconds before continuing the conversation.
" By the way. How are you related to Aaron Winchester?" Roseline asked him.
" I am his late mother's nephew," he answered.
" Is he a good man? she enquired.
"He is my cousin, so he's a good man," Ryan boasted.
"That is what makes me worried. He is your cousin," Roseline replied.
"Ha! Don't you know that I have a big heart and I help people when they are in need," Ryan boasted about himself for the second time.
"Oh Is that the reason why you distribute your big heart to all the girls?" Roseline replied instantly to his bragging.
"Tell me if you want me to stop talking to them. I'll stop," Ryan said.
"Why would I even stop you," she said.
"Because I give rights only to few people," Ryan replied from the other side of the phone.
"Whatever!! I'm ending the call. Good night," Roseline ended the call and placed her hand on her chest to hear her heartbeat the race.
The door which was shut until now was opened a little. The room was not completely dark because of the bed lights that were on. Aaron closed the door after coming inside and saw Elizabeth asleep. He walked to another side of the bed to see her in deep sleep. He made sure not to disturb her sleep when he moved closer to push her hair that covered her face and her neck. The redness on the neck reduced a little which revelied him.
The day he presented her a chain when they were eighteen years old. He saw her neck turn red by the end of the day.
"Why did your neck turn red? ," the eighteen-year-old guy asked his girl when he felt disquited looking at her neck.
"I'm allergic to platinum," she answered shifting her eyes onto him.
"Girl, why didn't you tell me when I was wearing it to you?" he questioned her.
"Because it was the present you gave me," came an innocent answer which made him smile to her answer but scolded her softly for not telling him and then rushed to a pharmacy store to buy her medicine. After reaching home he searched on the internet about the people who are allergic to platinum. As the memories of those days replayed in his mind, a faint smile appeared on his face. He knew that this woman keeps her promise at any cost. When they met in her company two weeks before the marriage took place, she pretended that she didn't know him in front of her foster father but he didn't miss to notice the tears that flowed from her eyes the moment she saw him.
He still remember the day he saw her when she got transferred to his school.
"Good morning everyone! Carter is my name. Sorry, My name is Elizabeth Carter," her nervousness made her forget what she wanted to say. Aaron who was reading a book, dropped his gaze at her. There was a subtle change in his expression looking at the girl who stood in front of the class to introduce herself. When the teacher told her to find an empty seat and sit, she walked looking around to see if there were any empty seats and found few. As she walked passing his seat, Aaron removed his bag which was on the seat beside him.
"Thank you," her voice was sweet.
The entire class was shocked to see Aaron allowing a girl to sit beside him. While everyone in the class laughed at her, he saw a cute innocence in her that made his attention focus on her.
Aaron pulled his arm back to him before touching her face. He felt his heart heavier. Life was unfair. The person whom he loved the most turned out to be the person whom he resented. He never thought that the girl whom he loved the most and the adamantine bond he shared with her would be broken like a glass one fine day.
