Elizabeth was frozen to his question. Her heart beat raced and her hands were cold as ice. She didn't know how to respond in that moment. All she wished was to disappear. The guy beside her, not only made her feel embarrass but also was enjoying looking at her which made feel more embarrassed. The entire class was looking at the new girl and the guy beside her. They didn't know the reason for Aaron's smile but they understood that it was because of their new classmate and made them wonder, why? They didn't understand what made a guy like him smile at a girl like her.
"We are even, " Elizabeth said after taking a deep breath.
"Care to explain me?" Aaron asked her.
"You were aware that I was glancing at you but still you chose to pretend as if you weren't aware, which means you too were observing me, am I right?...." her response made his lips quirk up. Aaron didn't expect such answer from Elizabeth. Her response made him curious about her. At first, he noticed her innocence and now he liked the way she posed a question to him instead of answering to it.
"Its Aaron," he said, when Elizabeth was unable to recollect his name.
"Am I right Aaron?" she repeated her words by adding his name at the end.
"Absolutely..." he replied pretended that he was unable remember her name.
"Elizabeth Carter," the girl said.
"Elizabeth.....Elizabeth.... Elizabeth," Aaron repeated her name which made her wonder why he was repeating her name. But the truth was that he liked taking her name and the expressions she gave him, each time he took her name of ,"It's too long," he said at the end.
"I know, my people call me Elza," she said for him. Thinking that, he would address her with a short name since he felt her name was too long but to her surprise he came up with a new name, "Lizzy,how's it?" he asked her.
"Lizzy? that sounds lame," she answered.
"But why? Lizzy, the lizard!! It sounds so good, " he teased her. Elizabeth rolled her eyes. She just met him and the guy already had started to tease her. Elizabeth didn't know why, but she felt comfortable with him even though he was teasing her.
"I won't respond if you call me with that stupid name," she huffed, Aaron laughed taking her name again and again.That day, she found a new friend with whom she spent till the end of her school days.
"This place is so beautiful!! " Roseline exclaimed."What kind place is this?" she asked him out of curiosity. But Ryan didn't reply to her question. Instead, he continued to drive following the road and the moon light. He stopped his bike which made Roseline to look at him skeptically and then at the place he took her." Where are we?" she questioned him again. "You'll know it soon," he answered without giving a proper answer to Roseline's question.
Elizabeth's thoughts broke when the driver pressed the horn continuously for a few seconds."How long will it take for us to reach?" she asked her driver in a low voice. "In five minutes, madam," the driver replied politely. Elizabeth stared at her phone screen for few seconds before putting it back in her purse.
Aaron who was early to home. He sat in the living room instead of going to his study room which was unusual. The TV was on and a movie was being played but instead of paying attention to the TV, his eyes were at the door which was closed. His peculiar behavior since evening, made the servants to look at each other blankly at first. Few servants had a hunch that he might be waiting for his newly wedded wife. At the same time, few other servants denied saying that there's no way for a man like him, would sit idle and wait for another person. But the truth was, he was indeed waiting for his wife.
Aaron heard the door bell and got up from his seat. When a servant was going to open the door, Aaron stopped him because he wanted to open the door by himself. He ordered the servant to go to the kitchen and bring him a glass of water. Without questioning his master, the servant obeyed and went to the kitchen. The servants who told guessed that Aaron was waiting for his wife, now had a proud smile on their face and looked at each other before getting back to their work.
