Chapter 17 - He was furious

After enquiring Mr.Thompson, Aaron came to know that Elizabeth left in a hurry after twelve in the night. Without delaying, he put on his coat and rushed to his car after ordering his men to search for her too. The servants who were asleep until a while ago, now stood at one corner of the pillar and trembled in fear when the news of their young master's wife being missing has passed down to them. The servants could see Aaron's fury in his eyes which made them look at each other blankly before he left the house. It was true that the man was furious, but the furiousness was not at his wife but at his servants, for not telling him sooner, while a part of the servants saw his furiousness, the other few saw a fear in his eyes.

The rainy clouds that had been hovering around started to drizzle once again, which led the people not to come out of their house leaving the roads silent and empty. The street lights which were supposed to give bright light flickered due to the damage caused by the heavy rain. Aaron who was searching for his wife looked to his right and to his left side but he couldn't find her.

At the same time, Elizabeth was seated on an empty bench, as she was unable to walk any longer because of her stomach pain, she heard a person's foot steps approaching her and started to quiver with fear. She felt her heart drop a beat when she heard the voice of a man.

"Why did you come out alone?" the man asked her and Elizabeth clearly knew who it was even before she looked at him. It was none other than her husband, Aaron. After searching for more than twenty minutes, he found her sitting alone on a bench, under a huge tree. He parked his car on the other side of the road and walked to the place where she sat under the tree . His eyes didn't fail to notice a black cover in her hands. For some reason, he was not angry at her even when she came out of the house during night time.

"I was lost," she looked like a lost kitten in his eyes which he found it to be adorable. Even before she answered him, he knew that she lost her way back to home. The man was aware of her bad sense of direction since the time they were in school. But the only thing which made him worry was that if she was safe or if she was in any danger.

"You should've asked the maids if you needed them," he spoke softly. It wasn't hard for Aaron to understand what made her come out at night time when it was still drizzling.

"I have it now but..."

"Come with me," Aaron interrupted her. Being his girlfriend at a point of time, she was never ashamed to talk him about anything, she always used share each and every thing with him and he used to listen to whatever she told him. He always took more care of her. Particularly, during her periods. As if she was the most delicate person.

"How far did I come from home?" she asked him while following him to the car.

"I don't know how far you went but you should've taken a left and walked ten steps and then turned to your right side, what I mean is you are ten steps far from home, " she instantly closed her eyes to his words out of embarrassment ."Why am I so stupid! " she said in her mind, "You're not stupid, you just have a bad sense of direction," she heard his voice.

As they were going back to their home, Elizabeth looked out through the window and saw that Aaron was not taking her home. "Where are we going?" she asked him and heard him say "I'm hungry." After listening to his answer, Elizabeth chose to stay quite and closed her eyes without asking him any other questions. It was after ten minutes did she opened her eyes only to look out through the closed window, when the car was stopped. Her drowsy eyes instantly lit up with glee. "Even I am hungry," she said in a low voice sounding as if she was tired, to cover up her excitement. But Aaron knew that she was excited.

As soon as the door was pulled by Aaron, Elizabeth entered into the ice cream parlour enthusiastically and noticed that a very few people were present in the ice cream parlour. She caught the sight of a couple sitting at a corner and a group of three men at another corner. Elizabeth took a seat opposite to Aaron. When the waiter came to take the orders, Aaron ordered two 'death by chocolate' without asking Elizabeth's choice, he was one hundred percent sure that she would prefer only 'death by chocolate' even if he had asked her to choose one. Listening to the order he gave the waiter, Elizabeth smiled internally.

"I doubt if you will be able to complete it," Aaron heard her say about him.

"I'm sure you will eat it, if I don't," he was confident to the reply he gave her.

They both enjoyed the ambiance and the music that was being played, none of them uttered a word even after the waiter placed their order on the table. Elizabeth took a spoonful of chocolate into her mouth and exclaimed, "This is heaven!" she was indulged with her ice cream and didn't even notice that her husband was staring at her without blinking his eyes.

"How many years has it been seeing her smile in this way?" Aaron who was staring at her, asked himself before having his hot death by chocolate. He was not hungry but he knew that his girl would always crave to eat only death by chocolate during those days and hence he brought her to the ice cream parlour for the sake of her. Just like Elizabeth had mentioned a while ago about him leaving the ice cream, Aaron leaned back to the chair after eating three spoons.

"Didn't I tell you that you won't eat it completely!" she said and with a bright smile on her face, she took his bowl from him even before he had asked her to have his part too. It wasn't the first time that Aaron didn't complete his food, it always happened whenever they went out to have ice cream. It was not that Aaron couldn't eat his entire ice cream, but because of the bright smile she always gave him for giving his ice cream to her. Even though they argued a few hours ago, they forgot the differences they had between them and spent their time like any other couple.
