After reaching home, Elizabeth saw the servants being tensed up for her for which she blamed herself that they were all awake because of her. As Aaron was going to his room, he ordered a maid to make one cup of ginger tea and told her to bring it to his room, immediately. Elizabeth followed Aaron to the bedroom taking the stairs, silently. The moment Aaron left to washroom, a maid entered into the room after knocking the door. The maid was in her early fifties. She brought the ginger tea which she made after Aaron ordered her to prepare it for Elizabeth. The maid placed the tray on the table and heard Elizabeth say, "I'm sorry. It was because of me you all had to wake up," she sounded apologetic which made the woman smile at her words. "It is good that you are safe. That is what we all prayed for," the woman answered softly and Elizabeth exchanged a warm smile with her. The maid continued to speak pausing for a few seconds and left the room. Aaron came out of the washroom and observed that Elizabeth was sitting on the bed idly, without having the tea which was brought by the maid for her. "Are you fine?" he asked her to get her attention to shift towards him. Elizabeth looked at him after listening to his question, "a little better since I had the chocolate," she answered and took the cup of ginger tea to drink. Aaron who was about to leave the room heard his wife saying, "sleep here," he understood that she wanted him to sleep next to her on the king sized bed but he wanted to make sure if she was fine with him sleeping next to her.
"Are you sure?" he asked her softly without giving any inappropriate answer.
"Yes," Elizabeth answered and saw Aaron agreeing to her. A smile appeared on her face to see him listen to whatever he was told to do.
After switching on the bed lamp, Aaron slept on one side of the bed facing his back to her. Elizabeth kept staring at him and felt that, the first day of her marriage seemed to be too long to even believe because of the things that took place within a single day. " Young master cares for you a lot, madam. This is the first time I've seen him worry about a person other than his grandfather. In the morning you asked me if young master liked blue colour, I do not know which colour he likes but if you wanted to know about the colours of the walls, they were painted a week before your marriage, " the maid's words echoed on the back of her head. Elizabeth was left speechless when she heard the maid's words. "He cares for me? "she asked herself after the maid left the room, she even forgot to drink tea which was left for her on the table until Aaron's voice made her come out of her thoughts. It was then she had her tea quickly and crawled onto the bed before he switched off the lights.
In the morning, while they were having breakfast, Aaron told her to have breakfast with him telling her that, he didn't want his servants to think that their young master is not on good terms with his wife. But when she gave a thought about the things that happened in the morning, she found something was odd. "A man like him would care about what others think? or else did he lie because he wanted to have his breakfast along with me.... I guess I'm overthinking," she thought lying on the bed with her hand on the plush. She kept looking at him while fidgeting on the bed with her blanket and turned other side to sleep.
"Do you not know that you are not supposed to wriggle when you are sharing the same bed with a man?" his words attacked her heart and the very next moment he rolled on the bed and locked her encircling his arms around her waist. Each and every part of her body froze when she felt his hand on her. Elizabeth forgot to even breathe after what Aaron has done to her. She could hear her heart thumping against her chest as the clock ticked for every passing second. "Aaron?!..." she tried to have a look at him only to get pulled more closer towards him. "Sleep.." was the only word he murmured.
"How am I supposed to sleep like this!! " she said in her mind and regretted for telling him to sleep beside her. But who knew that the cunning man would take advantage of the situation.
But at the same time, Elizabeth who was in her husband's embrace, felt his warm hand on her stomach which made her feel good as she was on her periods. She was unable to understand what does the man she married have on his mind. Once he says that he hates to be with her even for a second and at the same time, the things he does for her says somethings else. She kept thinking if he hates her in real or if he still loves her but pretends to hate her. But what would be the reason for him to pretend that he was hating her? What made the man to step back from the word he gave her and leave everything behind to leave to states right after their breakup? Elizabeth has no idea to any of these questions. The only person who knew everything was Aaron himself. But Elizabeth knew that she wouldn't get her answers from Aaron and also Liam who knows a part of the truth chose to keep it as a secret from her. She didn't know who could help her now and how could she find out the truth that took place when she was eighteen. What made everything change around her and what made her world upside down, she wanted to know each and everything little thing from the bottom.
