Roseline looked at Ryan who seemed to be startled after listening to her words and so were Sarah and Claire at Ryan's presence. But for certain reasons, Sarah was glad internally, that he heard what he had to hear. Roseline was almost to tears when she caught the sight of Ryan, she didn't know what to do, she knew that even if she tried to explain him after what he had heard , he wouldn't believe her. Roseline left the place immediately as she was not in a state to meet his eyes. When Claire followed Roseline, Sarah stayed back instead of going with her friend.
"Didn't I tell you that she is not like any other girl," Ryan heard Sarah speak to him. For a second, Ryan didn't understand what she was referring to but a moment later he recollected his memory about his conversation with Sarah about Roseline.
It was the time when sports competition took place. Ryan being a good friend of Sarah, asked about Rosleine's likes and dislikes out of curiosity. Sarah being Rosleine's best friend, told him that Roseline was different from the girls he talk and wouldn't fall for a guy like him even If he tried, she advised him to stay away from her friend but Ryan denied Sarah's words.
" I bet that you will lose, " Sarah stated.
"Bet?! Sounds interesting, let me tell you I've never lost any bet till this date," his confidence was all over his face.
"Then this will be your first ," she challenged Ryan to which he smirked.
"Tch!! We'll see," Ryan chortled. That was the end of their conversation. Sarah almost forgot about their bet but she never thought that Ryan would still remember and take those words seriously.
Ryan who understood that Sarah was talking about the conversation they had a month ago, let out a chuckle. "But she never told that she hates me, did she? "his lips quirked up into a smile.
Roseline wiped her tears before coming to the class. She sat on her seat and pretended as if nothing had happened but the truth was, she has been worrying about Ryan. After lunch hour, she saw Ryan entering into the class and avoided his gaze upon her as she was not ready to face him yet, but she wanted to clarify everything after the school. When the last bell rang, everybody packed their bags to leave. Roseline stood at the gate and waited for Ryan after her friends left, she saw him coming slowly towards the gate with his friends.
"Ryan! " she called his name loud enough for him to hear. He looked at her before seeing a car, when he saw a car a little away from where he stood, "I need to leave. My cousin is waiting for me," he said in a hurry after looking at the car which was waiting for him. Roseline felt bad that Ryan didn't want to talk to her, she thought he was ignoring her and looked at him. But the girl was utterly shocked to see the man in the car who was seated in the back seat." His cousin? " she thought in her mind.
Elizabeth spent more than a half day to select a perfect dress for the dinner. After thinking for hours, she selected a designer piece to wear it for tonight. Elizabeth decided not to think about anything as her brain was getting heated up because of Aaron and his evil intentions. She has no idea, no matter how many times she thought about the things that took place when they were eighteen years old, but the girl had a hunch on one incident that happened a few days before their break-up but she shoved her thoughts away thinking that Aaron wouldn't have left her because of that particular incident which happened with her and her father.
"Stupid Aaron," she scolded him while sitting in the bath tub. At the same time, Aaron who was in a meeting sneezed and checked his phone if there were any notifications. The people in the meeting looked at each other knitting their eyebrows, this was the first time that Aaron kept checking his phone for every five minutes. They even noticed the way Aaron left in a hurry as soon as the meeting ended. The people who observed him made fun of him saying, 'the workaholic man has changed within two days after his marriage'. Aaron reached home before eight in the evening and went to his bedroom directly. He stood rooted for few seconds when he saw Elizabeth in a peach coloured dress. She was not yet ready but looked beautiful. "I'll be ready within five minutes," she looked at him and started to get ready in a hurry.
"Take your time," he replied and sat on the bed. Elizabeth looked at his reflection through the mirror. "How am I supposed to get ready when you are staring at me?" she huffed at him but in her mind.
Elizabeth tried to ignore the fact that she was being stared by her ex-boyfriend who is now her husband and got ready as soon as possible. Her husband was staring at her but his expressions were hard to read. It was as if he locked his emotions from revealing on his face to make the other person not understand what he was thinking. She tied her hair into a bun and wore a simple necklace on her slender neck to turn and face him, "I'm done," she said and planned to get out of the room but Aaron held her wrist firmly and removed her hairpin to leave her hair open.
"Better," he said and noticed her widened eyes that had a look of surprise and a hidden blush but the man walked past her and didn't even bothered to have a look at his wife again.
Aaron noticed Elizabeth worrying since the moment they got into the car , "don't think much," he kept his words short. It wasn't the fist time he saw her worrying about something. The girl always keeps her mind busy thinking about unnecessary stuff. Elizabeth looked at him and gave a thought for one last time, " I guess you are right, since your grandfather was the one who ordered you to marry me, there's no reason for me to worry about," she said thoughtfully when the car stopped after reaching the Winchester Mansion." Am I right?"she asked him after alighting the car but received no response from him. Elizabeth couldn't walk beside Aaron as he walked taking long strides while the maids bowed down to greet them .
" Aaron, you liar, "Elizabeth let out her words into whisper after taking quick stride to reach him. "You lied that you married me on your grand father's accord, didn't you? " she tried to get answers from him but the man remained silent which made her grin that her assumptions turned out to be right. Elizabeth who came two days ago, saw only a part of the Winchester Mansion. She looked to her right and to her left to see his family portraits whilst she was being guided by Aaron to the dinning hall, her eyebrows furrowed looking at the portraits, she looked at her husband and his pictures that were hung on the wall. There was not even a single picture in which he had a smile. She wondered why the pictures were only of his teenage was hung on the wall, she heard the giggles and laughter of the people.
"Hold me," she heard Aaron say to her but she declined his offer and continued to walk. When they reached the dinning hall, Elizabeth saw Aaron's family members sitting at the dinning table. They stopped talking and gave a look of surprise at Aaron and his wife.
Elizabeth grabbed Aaron's hand and lowered her head a little to see his family members looking at Aaron and her. But on the other side, a grin took over his face when she held his hand.
"Look who is here!! " a man exclaimed looking at the newly wedded couple. The man was none other than Steve Winscet, the president of the Winscet group of industries.
