She turned around to meet his captivating eyes. No matter how many years he stayed away from her, Elizabeth could still feel her heart prick by the way he was looking into her eyes, just like he did years ago. She wondered what made him to deny the love he had for her when his eyes clearly told something else, at this moment.
"Can I tell you something?"
Aaron nodded to her question.
"Can't we forget about the past and start a new chapter?!" she said to him.
"I wish it was as easy as you said," he replied.
"From that day, I have been thinking about the reason for you to leave me. I can no more stress myself thinking about the things happened in the past. No matter if you love me or not but let me tell you that I still love you, Aaron," Elizabeth's voice shivered as she said.
"I need time to figure out few things, Elizabeth. I do not know if I am eligible to even ask after all these years and after all that I have said to you, if you could you please stay by my side...."
"I do not care even if the world around me shatters, as long as I have you by my side, but if I do not then I have nothing to do with the world around me," tears formed in her eyes as she said with confidence.
The man had not given any answer but his gaze was fixed upon his woman. He came a bit closer to her and placed his hand on her cheek. He wiped the cold drops that rolled down from her eyes and with a smile on his face he ran his thumb on her scarlet lips. He bent a little to plant a kiss on either side of her cheeks and she could feel her blood rush to her cheeks. After kissing on either side of her cheeks, he then looked at her glistening eyes before he planted another kiss on her forehead. He inched closer to place his lips on hers. He kissed her once then twice, to feel her soft lips and pulled back to see her once again. He observed the willingness of girl when she parted her lips for him before he dived back into the kiss. Elizabeth ran her hands into his hair and stood on her toes to reach his lips, pressing herself against him. He turned her around and pushed the strands of her hair to one side. He placed his heavy head on her soft shoulders and both stayed there for a few minutes, silent, listening to each other's breath. Both had something to say to each other, but decided to live the moment and forget the world and their past, for a while. When Aaron lifted her in his arms, she encircled her hands around his neck when he took her to the bed. He made her face towards him after she lay on the bed. He pushed the strands of her hair aside, which covered a part of her face. For a moment he was lost in her beauty. He could see her chest move up and down as she breathed. Elizabeth looked away when he leaned towards her. Instead of kissing her lips he aimed to her neck, this time. She let out a surprise gasp when he bit her tender skin. He peppered kisses all over her neck making her moan softly and buried his face against her neck.
Elizabeth could feel her heart beat increase as the clock ticked for every passing second. The man laid next to her with his head buried against her neck. "Aa_ron," she murmured when he wasn't moving. A few seconds later, she realized that he fell asleep when she felt his steady breath.
She wasn't angry that he fell asleep all of a sudden; she knew that he was tried by working and by walking for hours. Even though he didn't give her any answer, she was happy about the things happened between them. She left a chuckle and placed him on the other side of the bed. She covered both of them with the blanket and with her hands supporting her head, she was staring at the face which has been making her go crazy for years. At first, she was angry that he left and came into her life again by attacking her company. But the love she had for him was unconditional. The moment he held her hand in the busy market, she felt the entire world around her stop. All she could think was about him at that moment and decided to let go of her past and focus on her future. She decided to talk to him about her decision but never imagined that he would react with a kiss. No matter how many times a person get hurt by their loved one, they tend to forgive them and forget the things they did to them, don't they?
Elizabeth moved a little away from him to see his face to see his long eye lashes and smiled when she ran her fingers on his eyebrow and placed her hand on his cheek. But her smile faded when she had a closer look at him.
Elizabeth clearly remembered the day, when she came to know about Aaron from her fellow classmates before she got close to him. She was twelve years old when she transferred to his school. One day, she joined the conversation of her new classmates.
"He used to talk to me and play with me, he was a very good friend of mine," she heard a girl say to her friends.
"He was friendly with everyone, I wonder what happened to him that year," said another girl.
"He was my best friend but he treats me as if he doesn't know me. He changed a lot and I hate him right now," said a guy of her class.
"I sometimes feel, he is possessed," another guy let out his words in whisper and chuckled after scaring his friends.
"Even I feel the same, I'm scared to talk to him," said a girl who was seated next to him.
"I don't believe that nonsense but I do get chills when he looks with his cold attitude. He just shows off that he is the only richest person in the world," said another guy.
Elizabeth didn't like the conversation of her classmates and didn't have her lunch with them again from the next day.
"I want to eat with you," Elizabeth said with a plate in her hand.
"I eat alone," he replied looking at his food.
"Not from today."
Aaron, whose eyes were at his plate raised his head to see the girl smiling at him with a bright face. It was not their first meeting but since that day, she started to spend time with him rather than hanging out with her classmates. Whenever her classmates tried to approach her, Aaron always looked daggers to not come close to her. He protected her from everyone who badmouthed her for being with him. Elizabeth slowly realized how much he cared for her and started to fall for him as the days passed.
