Roseline was having dinner with her parents. She couldn't stop thinking about the man who came to pick up Ryan in the evening. She wanted to ask her mother but she thought it would be better not to open her mouth in front of her father or her mother. " What are you thinking, eat quickly. The food is getting cold," She was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard her father talk to her. She finished her dinner as soon as possible and went back to her room. Initially, she wanted to ask her friend, Claire about Ryan and his family but later she decided to browse on the internet.
Aaron entered into the dinning hall along with his wife who held his hand firmly. The couple were being stared at by the people which made Elizabeth feel a little awkward. On the day of her wedding, she didn't get to see Aaron's relatives. The marriage preparations were done so quick that Elizabeth wondered whether Aaron had even invited his family members to his marriage. She wouldn't be surprised even if he didn't invite them but if he did invite them, she was sure that the elders of his family wouldn't attend the marriage for what he has done to them. Not only Elizabeth, the people who knew Aaron Winchester are aware that the man doesn't get along with his family members but nobody knew the reason behind it. It is not that he hates everyone in his family, he never makes his appearance to any family gatherings to avoid certain people.
Elizabeth and Aaron occupied the empty chairs and sat beside each other. "Looks like someone is excited to see my wife....or should I say someone's supposed to be daughter-in-law?!" Aaron said as a devilish smirk took over his lips. Steve snorted to his words, " Well, she is still my daughter-in-law since my nephew married by forcing her," Steve replied with a smile.
"I'm not your nephew, " Aaron stated.
Elizabeth who was seated beside him didn't understand why was she being dragged into their conversation. Is this the reason why he brought her to meet his family to show that he had married her by going against them and that he can do whatever he wants to do? For a second, she felt like she was a pawn in Aaron's hand and he was using her to win over his uncle and his family. But why should she be the unlucky one? Why should she be the one to get married to him? There were times when Elizabeth blamed the heavens because of the situations she had been through, since the day her mother and her father got divorced to this day. There was not even a single day in her life where she felt happy from the bottom of her heart.
"Enough, Aaron!! " said a man who was in his late fifties. Aaron didn't even bother to look at that man, whose features were similar to him. The man didn't seem to be healthy, he was a bit pale.
"Feel free to eat whatever you want, dear," said a woman in a sweet voice. Elizabeth exchanged a smile with her and then with the man who was seated beside her. He was the one whom Aaron ignored. They both were none other than, Aaron's father, Marcus Winchester and his mother, Viola Winchester.
"I hope the food is according to your taste. Viola made sure that the dishes made for you are up to your taste," said another woman who sat beside Marcus. She was Gwen Hayes, Marcus's sister. Elizabeth shifted her glance to the person beside Gwen, the man was her husband, Nicole Hayes, CEO of Hayes's enterprises. The man seemed to be silent and dignified. There was no need for Elizabeth for an introduction of each and every person. She knew them even if it was her first time to meet them. Gracia Winscet, Marcus's elder sister was seated opposite to her along with her husband, Steve Winscet. The woman who was seated beside her, was calm and poised. Her gazes at Elizabeth, seemed like she didn't like Elizabeth's presence nor liked being in the dinning room for the dinner. The woman's name was Silvia Whales. Her husband, Antony Whales was not present as he was out of the country. She is the youngest daughter of Michael Winchester.
"Thank You," Elizabeth thanked her mother-in-law.
"I would like to apologize to you on behalf of my son's reckless behavior," Marcus apologised. Elizabeth didn't expect an apology from the man about whom she was worried. She thought that everybody would blame her but to her surprise nobody had any issues with her, including the man named Steve.
" I did what I had to do," came an instant reply from his son, Aaron.
"I wasn't talking to you, Aaron. I was..."
"But I was talking to you so that you would stop assuming things," Aaron cut down his father's words.
"Just because we are ignoring the things you've done, doesn't mean you are right and we are wrong," Marcus voiced.
" And what about the things you've already done?" Aaron questioned his father.
"You brat. Is this how a son talks to his father?!" Steve interrupted.
"Says the man whose son left home against his father's will," Aaron shifted his gaze upon Steve and attacked him with his words.
"Do you people think that the reason father called us to have dinner tonight is for you three men to argue with each other?!" the woman named Silvia glared at her nephew and at the men. Her voice was deep and hoarse.
The food was served and Elizabeth could barely have her food because of the cold war between the men. She felt as if she was being dragged into a soap opera where the rich family members do not get along with each other. Steve's wife and Marcus's wife were trying to calm down their husbands but she on the other side was unable to even let out a word to Aaron. She only prayed for them to stop arguing about the things that already happened. As if the seven heavens heard her prayers, the doors were opened. The three men were staring daggers at each other after shutting their mouth.
"Oh!! I'm happy that you both came today," said Micheal with a smile on his face whilst his wheelchair was being pushed towards the table. Aaron nodded to his grandfather words when Elizabeth bowed short to greet the old man. Elizabeth heaved a sigh of relief looking at the men having their food that was served by the maids.
Roseline who was busy browsing about the Winchester's cupped her face in shock. The man whom Ryan picked up was none other than Liam Winscet, his cousin. To see that Ryan, Liam and Aaron are cousins, Roseline came to know that Aaron was not only a Winchester but also belonged to the Winscet's since his mother was Steve's sister, which would only make him more powerful of all his cousins, since he hails from both the families. But she didn't understand what made the man who belonged to both the powerful families, go against his own family and marry the girl they chose for Liam?
