Elizabeth sat on the bed without moving even an inch since the time Aaron left the room. She kept thinking about what made him leave her but she could not understand why he left her when he loved her with all his heart. She knew that Aaron was not the kind of person who would use people. She knew that she was special to him in every way. She always thought that nobody liked talking to her other than Aaron. He was her only friend and love. He was her world, a world in which she was the happiest girl when he was beside her. But nothing lasts long, everything had to come to end one fine day.
"What's wrong with you?" Elizabeth asked Aaron.
"I don't want to see your face, you disgust me," he said in anguish.
" What _what are you talking Aaron?" she asked and held his wrist grasping firmly in her hand.
"I don't have to give you any reasons Elizabeth. Just leave me alone," he said drawing away from his hand from her. Elizabeth was shocked to see the way he was behaving with her, in these four years he never spoke to her in that tone and it was the first time he called her with her full name after they got close. He was cold to others but not with her.
" Is there anything else you want to say? ," she asked him.
"Yes. If we ever meet again. Pretend that you don't know me. I will do the same," he replied. She felt a lump in her throat as she controlled her tears.
"Fine. I promise you. I would pretend that I never met you if we ever meet. I hope we don't meet in the future," she blurted out in anger. She didn't know that the words which came out from her mouth would make her regret. She thought that he would come back to her but the next day when she didn't see him in the school, she came to know after enquiring that he left the school. All the hopes she had and the dreams she built with him shattered all at once. She tried to contact him but she couldn't. Years later, she saw him in the news. The day he took hold of the Winchester's empire. Only she knew how much she cried for him that day when she saw him in the news on the Television. As the dates on the calendar changed, She made herself strong and decided not to cry for him again but who knew that he would reappear Into her life. Eight years ago, he broke her heart by leaving her without saying a word to her. Years later, he reappeared in front of her with a marriage proposal. She didn't know if she should be happy that she got married to the person she loved or should pity herself for marrying him as a deal to save the company.
Elizabeth looked at her phone when it vibrated. It was Roseline's message.
Elizabeth smiled wiping her tears.
She texted Roseline.
Elizabeth sent another message.
Elizabeth read her sister's message. Roseline was always there for her when she was in need. She promised her sister that she would never cry for the person who left her. Elizabeth sighed thinking about her life which seemed like a merry go round. She switched off the lights before she went to sleep to avoid overthinking.
Roseline was on her bed while texting Elizabeth. Just when she replied to Elizabeth, she received a call from an unknown number. It was around thirty past nine when she looked at the time. She understood that only one person can call her during this time.
"Don't you have any other work to do?" Roseline said to the person on the call after accepting it.
"I do. And that's what I'm doing right now." came a voice from the other side of the phone. Roseline rolled her eyes after what Ryan's answer.
" How cheesy, " She said but smiled at his words.
" Why do I feel that you're smiling? " he asked her. Her heart dropped a beat the moment he caught her.
Roseline and Ryan study in the same school. Ryan Hayes, being a top student in the school and Roseline being in the second position always competed with each other when they were kids. She always worked hard to beat Ryan but not even once she was able to beat him in the academics. The guy was an all-rounder. He was active in sports, cultural, and studies. Apart from his activities, he was known as a playboy too. There was not even a single girl who didn't fall for him until this day excluding one girl, Roseline Carter. She was different from other girls. When the girls of her age, wasted their time on unnecessary stuff. She, on the other hand, always studied. Her goal has always been to beat Ryan Hayes in academics.
"I was smiling," she accepted. There was a smirk on Ryan's face as if he achieved something but the smirk turned brighter when he heard her saying, "I was smiling thinking that how many girls must've fallen for that dialogue," she replied.
"You aren't an easy one to get impressed, Are you? " he asked her with a chuckle.
"I'm unique," she praised herself.
"Yes you are, Roseline," his voice got deeper when he took her name making her heart thump.
"I_I guess it's time to sleep. We'll be late to school," she said when their conversation was getting a little over board.
"Wait a second. I didn't ask you what I wanted to ask," Ryan said.
"Ask," she said in a low voice.
"Do you _ Do you love..."
A faint blush appeared on her face when the guy said that he wanted to ask her something.
