Charm's POV
This is what I hate about big celebrations, ang daming eme na hindi naman kailangan. If they will allow me to wear my motocross gear sa kasal na 'to baka mabawasan ang disgust ko sa event na ito.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Charmaine Mendoza?" a lady approaches and asked me.
"Yes I am, and who are you?" I asked.
"Hello Charmaine, I am Chloe one of you wedding coordinators." She said then offered her hand for a hand shake and I politely accepted it.
"Hi Chloe, you may call me Charm. You said, you are one of the wedding coordinators? Are you saying na marami kayo?" I asked.
"Actually, dalawa lang naman, me and my husband, though we have a few staffs to assist us pero kaming lang ng husband ko ang makikipag usap sa inyo ni RJ." Chloe replied.
"Ok, akala marami kayo." I commented.
"My husband and I work together, mas gusto na naming magbusiness kesa employed, at least ito sarili namin ang oras namin." Chloe told me kahit hindi ko naman tinatanong. Mukhang umpisa na ng kalbaryo ko sa kasal na ito. Wedding coordinator pa lang mukhang malaking challenge na.
"Did you wait long? Pasensya ka na ha, I have specific instruction kasi to drop by sir Ricky's office before I meet you and RJ." She asked.
"Sir Ricky? Are you referring to Tito Ricky Faulkerson?" I asked.
"Yes, he just gave me few instructions about this wedding." She said.
"O eh may instructions ka na pala from Tito Ricky, why are we still having this discussion?" I sarcastically asked and it is too late when I realized that I am beginning to be rude at Chloe.
But it seems someone already oriented her that I am not be easy dealing with because she just smile at me and politely said "Sir Ricky did not give me the full instructions about this wedding. Ang sabi lang nya, wag kaming magtitipid. Everything will be shouldered by the Faulkerson. Not a single centavo will be charged to your family. He also said he don't mind if you choose to have five hundred to eight hundred guests."
"Five hundred to eight hundred guest?" I exclaimed and the people near our table throw a stare on us. "I'm sorry, did I hear it right? Five hundred guests at least as in 5 0 0?" I asked to confirm.
"Yes five, zero, zero" Chloe replied.
"Don't you think that's too much?" I asked
"Charm, this is a Faulkerson – Mendoza wedding, everyone in your circle will be excited to witness this celebration since both you and RJ are known in your respective fields." She said.
"But that does not seem to be like a celebration, it is more like a circus." I said.
"As your wedding coordinator, I promise not to turn it into a circus." She said.
"Can I be honest with you Chloe?" I asked.
"If you are going to tell me that this is just an arranged marriage, you don't have to. Sinabi na rin yan sa akin ni Sir Ricky. I honestly understand why you are acting that way. Pero pumayag ka na rin lang eh di lubos-lubusin mo na. Bongahan na natin ang kasal mo." Chloe said.
"Is my fiancée giving you a hardtime Chloe?" I heard a familiar voice said and I saw this annoying Faulkerson Jr, standing beside me attempting to kiss my forehead, I moved slightly backwards and succeeded to avoid it.
"Chloe knows our real set-up so you don't need to pretend to be sweet, Faulkerson Jr." I said.
"Maybe she does, but not the people around us." He whispered and swiftly kisses the top of my head before he sits beside me.
"Next time you do that again, titilapon ka talaga sa labas." I threatens but all I got was a smirk from him.
"Ano na napag-usapan nyo?" He asked.
"Kung dumating ka ng maaga eh di sana hindi ka nagtatanong ngayon." I sarcastically replied.
"Hindi ako late, I am actually on time, kayo lang ang maagang dumating" He replied.
"Excuse me, Chloe here acknowledges that she was late, nauna pa nga syang dumating kesa sa iyo. How dare you say that you were on time?" I replied.
"Didn't your secretary tell you that we moved this meeting thirty minutes earlier?" Chloe asked him.
"She did not tell me. I'm sorry." He replied
"Then get that secretary of yours fired for being inefficient." I said.
"Usok na usok ang ilong mo ah, did you miss me that much? I'm so flattered Mendoza Girl, grabe ka hindi ko alam na ganyan ka pala maka-miss. Don't worry I'll make sure I will be early on our wedding day, sisiguraduhin ko mauuna pa ako sa yo." He said and continues to annoy me.
"Stop talking nonsense Faulkerson, Jr., it's irritating." I said.
"I know arranged marriage lang 'to but forgive me for saying this. Nag-aaway pa kayo nyan ha, pero abot langit ang kilig ko sa inyo. I have been with many couple already but I could not understand why am I smiling while the two of you are bickering in front of me. I-ship ko kaya kayong dalawa para maging totohanan ang kasalang ito." Chole butts-in.
"No way." RJ and I exclaimed in unison and the people near our table gave us a glance.
"Ok Mr. and Mrs. Faulkerson to be." Chloe said, smiling mischievously.
"If you want us to be friends, don't say that again, Chloe." I said.
"Noted Charm." Chloe replied, still smiling. "So ok na ba tayo sa 500 hundred guests or we increase it to 800?" she asked.
"Can we skip that portion please, parang ang hirap i-absorb ng limang daang bisita. Anong oras pa matatapos ang reception kapag nagpapicture sa amin ang mga yun." I said.
"I have to agree with Charm, 500 guests is too much. We can have a grand wedding kahit limited guests lang naman. Let's check on that part first Chloe. Don't worry akong bahala sa Daddy ko." RJ said and in a way natuwa ako sa sinabi nya dahil for the first time since nagkakilala kami, ngayon lang sya sumangayon sa akin.
"Sige ha, ikaw ang kakausap kay Sir Ricky." Chloe said and RJ nods beaming.
In fairness while we are discussing hindi ko maiwasang tapunan ng konting sulyap ang anak araw na 'to, bukod kasi sa sobrang bango, gwapo talaga. Wala talagang pangit sa mga Faulkerson, malamang kahit pangit ang mapangasawa nito, lalabas pa ring magaganda ang mga anak mukhang malakas ang dugo eh.
"How about the church, saang Church nyo gusto?" Chloe asked
"Laguna." RJ said while simultaneously I replied "Bulacan."
"Sandali, dulo't dulo yan eh, isa sa North, isa sa South." Chloe said.
"Di ba dapat bride ang masusunod kung saang simbahan nya gustong magpakasal." I said.
"That only applies to the real bride if I may remind you Mendoza Girl, unless you wanted to be my real bride. But I guess kailangang ligawan mo muna ako." RJ replied.
"Ang kapal talaga ng mukha mo eh, asa ka pa. Kapag ikaw ang nanligaw sa akin siguradong basted ka na agad hindi ka pa nag-uumpisa." I said because I am really annoyed.
"And where did you get the idea that I will waste my time courting you Mendoza Girl? Kahit isipin hindi ko gagawin yun." RJ said.
"Just make sure you'll keep your word Faulkerson Jr., baka kasi mabusog ka if otherwise happens." I said.
"See, ikaw pa ang magpapakain kapag niligawan kita." RJ said.
I smirk when I heard him say that "Commonsense is something not really very common eh. Ang ibig kong sabihin, baka kainin mo yung mga sinabi mo kapag niligawan mo ko." I replied and laugh at loud because I saw how his face turned all red.
