By the time the clock struck 3 Jazz and Jin finally reached the conference room with everyone already in it.
Everyone at the conference table stands up and greeted them and a little baffled as to why two young adults took over the project. It's already a wonder that Julian and the twins are too young to be able to manage a multi-billion corporation. Just what kind of family do they have? They all wonder.
"Sorry for having everyone wait, we are caught up with some crisis in the lobby which we intend to discuss later. Anyway, I'm Jazz Villaneuve the younger sister of the twins and this is my cousin Jin Harrington the younger sister of Julian. My Brother Jake has some important matters that he is dealing with right now thus he has handed us this project."
Jazz does the talking acting elegant and professional overshadowing the fact that she is even less than half the age of those who are present at the meeting.
Each person then start introducing themselves.
After the introduction, the team that was assigned to the project is asked to present the plan that they've come up with which took almost 15 minutes.
Majority seemed to be pleased with the presentation. Jazz and Jin remained quiet the whole time until the previous owner who is still the president of the company asked for their opinion.
"It's good, but not good enough if we wanted to have a new and fresh appeal to our guests, besides the environmental project made by the government is almost done so we must be the best in our game." Jazz answered.
As the hotel has been around for a while and though it have gain a lot of loyal guests, many have deemed its decor and rooms to be outdated on their reviews.
True it has the elegance and the vibe of the early 20th century to it, it's just wasn't significant enough, if not for its breathtaking scenery, golden-white sand, and majestic blue ocean the hotel building alone won't be able to attract much attention, unless you're interested to history of course, as the building held a great importance with the city's history.
If one must be honest the interior design is quite boring, especially that now a days travel vloggers are everywhere.
The hotel's structure is of modern classical architecture due to some renovations made in the past, though it is only four stories high it has quite massive with a number of rooms divided into three wings and it is actually a refreshing sight compared to the usual high rise building.
"Going modernized and luxurious is fine but it's too common nowadays, also base on the information we've gathered so far, that is what the other resort went for on their last renovation, and it is guaranteed that most of our guests are already accustomed to it. If we truly want to stand out we need something that is unique and refreshing but at the same time elegant and classic." Jazz told them.
She then further told them that since this project is quite a priority and urgent they took upon themselves to come up with an idea.
Jin politely thanked the presenter earlier and took charge and went to present their idea.
The first floor has a high domed ceiling and closed windows thus they plan to replace the windows with casement windows which will be open all the time for the guest to enjoy the scenery and have fresh air during mealtime without the need to go out of the building. Though they have tables set up outside facing the beach it wasn't enough to accommodate all its guests.
For the lobby, they opted for a fusion of Contemporary and Mediterranean design as the building is made of columns and arches already. It is cozy, welcoming, and at the same time elegant it's just a matter of looking for the perfect furniture as well as ornaments this way they'll also preserve the history of the building which is transparent by orginal infrastracture.
The dining area is located just behind the reception area facing the sea thus they choose to still have the Mediterranean style but this time with a hint of nautical and rustic style which will be the main style at the dining area that is located outside.
Upon seeing pictures of the place when they are coming up with a presentation Jazz is immediately fixated on changing the pool area.
It's just too plain amd the trees around it are too congested, it also kills the vibes thus they are resolute to have it replaced with an immense infinity pool stretching until the seashore and really lace the plants around it.
Lastly, the rooms will have to go major changes as well and will be assigned with different themes.
All the rooms on the west wing will have a combination of classical and bohemian style and the rooms on the eastern wing will have an ancient Asian style to it. As for the rooms on the northern wing which includes the Grand Hall, it will have a Classical and Victorian feel to it.
They further showed the pieces of furniture and ornaments they wanted as well as the calculated probable expenses with the whole project.
At the end of the presentation, many are impressed by how detailed and organized is their plan.
Few questions were raised and we're answered by Jin adequately.
"There's a lot of themes that will be used in this project would that mean we're gonna have to hire a lot of interior designer who specialized with each theme?" One of the board of directors asked.
"Not necessarily, actually we've already found a suitable company that is perfect for the Job but we won't divulge the company yet, not until they will agree with the project anyway." Jazz answered.
"Any more questions?" Jin asked the crowd.
When no one else asked, they went on delegating the first necessary tasks that needed to be accomplished for the project to be launched.
"Now that we are done with this part of the meeting I would want to go to another topic which is about the name of this place." Jin stated which catch the complete attention of everyone in the room.
"We've discussed this with your brothers already. Look this place is known for decades and people are used with its name and how it is. If we are changing even the name, the familiarity of the place that most of our usual guest seeks will be totally gone. Besides it is among the places that this city is known for, having a new name will cause some major uproar from the government. It will also cause us and the tourism department a lot of work when it comes to new advertisement." The previous owner immediately lamented.
"Besides the voting has outnumbered your brothers, the shareholders are composed of three people plus the president, that's 4 out of three, and I'm not sure if you actually have a share for your votes to be counted." The managing director smugly said fully aware that Jazz and Jin indeed don't have a share.
Jazz smiled wickedly at this. "Well that might be true but as of one o'clock this afternoon we're proud to say that my cousin and I now own 13% of the share."
This shocked everyone in the room.
"How?" The previous owner asked.
"Mr. Fisher…" Jin dialed someone and suddenly one of the shareholder that isn't present on the meeting is shown on the screen in front.
"Hello everyone I'm sorry. I know this is so sudden but I have decided to sell them my share. You all know that I have been planning to retire for a while now and it so happened that I've received a call from them last night and they've given me a great offer, one that I couldn't resist. We've meet this morning and have things finalized. It was an honor being part of this legacy but it is time for me to retire." He bid farewell to the rest before Jin ended the call.
This is the reason why they have asked for the meeting to be moved in the afternoon. The two of them have met with Mr. Fisher at a restaurant with a lawyer and have persuaded him to sell his share with him. They choose him for he has the biggest share among the shareholders.
"Guess that means that our votes count now." Jazz breaks the deafening silence.
"Are we to change the name of the place then?" The previous owner asked knowing very well that he no longer has the power to counter the naming of the place.
"Not necessarily, we decided to keep the name. Because as you mentioned one reason this city is known is because of this place so changing the name will cause some major drama, one that we could have dealt with ease, if I may say so, but nevertheless, we have far more important things to do. What we do plan to do though is to change the logo in which shows that Montage Ranch Hotel & Resort is under Luxueux J Enterprise."
Jin didn't bother to ask for their opinion and went on showing them the new logo.
No one raises any objection seeing that the new logo is meticulously designed and looked stunning. Besides they didn't have the power to oppose even if they wanted too.
"I guess that's it for today. We are going to set another meeting by the end of the month to follow up on the progress of the tasks that we've delegated earlier." Jazz announced.
