"Who is there? You two what are---" The man stopped as he sees his two companion laying cold on the ground.
Are they dead? What happened? Where did this woman came from and since when was she here? His mind filled with unending questions.
From the corner he saw a figure leaning casually on the wall. Try as he may the light isn't enough for him to clearly see who it is.
"Who are you and what business do have with me?" The man ask pulling his gun and pointing at the figure.
"I'm nobody." The woman answered then pointed at the gun.
"You know that's not a toy fitted for a guy like you. Now why don't you be a good boy and go to sleep?" There's a sudden malice in the woman's voice and before the man could get the chance to speak he felt a quick strong force on his neck's meridian then he lost consciousness.
"That was easy." Jazz noted as she pull the man's body off Yesha.
"W-who…. are you?" Yesha managed to ask despite her dizziness, she is so close to losing her consciousness once again.
"Again we're nobody, and let's keep it that way. You're safe now that's all that matter." Jazz soothingly whispered making the latter finally gave in to her body's desire to sleep.
"What should we do with her now?" Jazz ask Jin after carrying Yesha's body to their car.
"Bring her to the hospital, her injuries are far too severe for us to handle alone, she might have some broken ribs from all the beating she had form that man." Jin looked at the rear view mirror towards Jazz who is tending to the girl as carefully as she could.
"But won't that lead us to questioning from the hospital? They might call the police as well, I don't really want to deal with them. Too much hassle."
"We don't have too, we'll be out of there by the time they'll arrive." Jin makes a turn then stopped as they've finally reached the city's largest hospital.
"What should we tell the hospital staff then?"
"Half the truth, now stay here I'm going to ask someone to bring a gurney."
It's a good thing that the ER isn't packed, looking around she went towards the receptionist and is about to request for an immediate assistance when a Doctor came interrupting her.
A cooler was suddenly placed at the reception desk then came a voice that she is quite familiar with.
"One healthy liver for Dr. Leng…"
Quite startled by the voice, she looked at the Doctor beside her, only to see Jaden in his scrub uniform, but as to not raise suspicion she pretended not to know him and ignore him instead.
Jaden had notice her as well, even with her mask and cap, covering her face, and though surprise to see his cousin at the hospital he acted detached and professional.
"I'm sorry… please attend to her first." He smiled at the nurse.
"How may I help you ma'am?" The nurse politely ask her, instructing her colleague to attend to Jaden.
"We found someone who is badly beaten and is in need of immediate medical help. She is currently at my car." Jin acted the part of a worried citizen.
Jaden couldn't help but raise an eyebrow but held back his tongue. "Show me…" He eventually said giving back the paper work at the other nurse, then asking the other one to send a gurney after them.
"You sure you're not the one who beat this particular patient?" Jaden finally ask once they are out of ear shot.
Jin stopped on her tract and gave Jaden a "Are you kidding me?" look.
"What?" Jaden ask upon seeing her reaction.
"Unbelievable…" Jin could only mutter and continued to lead Jaden towards the car.
"You two beat a lady?" Jaden exclaimed upon seeing the person lying on Jazz lap.
"Jaden?" Jazz exclaim upon seeing her brother. "What do you mean we beat a lady? Wait you think we beat her? Seriously?" She gave her brother a scandalous look and then looked at Jin.
Jin only shrugs and lean at the car looking at the gurney that's being pushed by two nurses.
"So you did not beat her?" Jaden ask while listening to the lady's heartbeat with his stethoscope.
"Of course not. Why the hell would we beat someone out of the blue?" Jazz hissed at him.
"Well, who knows, might I remind you that the two of you have quite a history, now how and where did you find her then? Surely you've come out with a decent story to tell the authorities?" He continued to ask while assessing the injuries on the lady's body.
"Kind of, good thing you're here though, makes things a whole lot easier." Jin stated while going back to the driver seat.
"Why are you here again?" Jazz ask.
"Have to deliver a liver, I'm about to meet the doctor who'll receive the said organ when I saw Jin at the reception." He finished explaining after assessing all the injuries.
Two broken ribs, a forearm fracture, and a possible pneumothorax. Her cheeks are also badly swollen. The woman sure have it hard.
"So who is she and what's the story?"
"Probably madame Camilla's granddaughter…" This make Jaden widen his eyes, no wonder the girl kinda look familiar. "… and let's just say we found her in an alley all beat up. Depends on her memory if she'll recall everything this story might change but she didn't saw us so that's fine. We'll leave the rest to you." Jazz told her brother.
"By the way it's best that you try to get a blood sample from her for DNA analysis. Julian will certainly need it." Jin added.
"Of course, got to go now, you two take care and see you at the house." Jaden bid them goodbye and gave instructions to the nurses who finally arrived and carefully lifted the lady and transfer her. They then wheeled her up inside the ER.
"He sure is at the right place at the right time." Jazz extended her limbs that went numb from holding the lady the entire ride.
"That I have to agree, now as we missed our flight, better book the next flight." Jin instructed her cousin starting the car and driving towards the airport.
