The girl stared at the ceiling while laying in bed, not wanting to get up. She felt extremely unmotivated and the only thing she wanted was to sleep once more without any distractions. However, she had made plans with her best friend today and she has yet to get ready.
The girl, named Assana, had beautifully tanned skin and long, flowing dark brown hair, almost black. Her eyes resembled pools of chocolate that would light up every time she smiled. Her eyelashes weren't as thick as the other girls, but her kissable lips and small nose made up for that. Not only that, but she was also a little bit chubby, making her have curves in all the right places.
After putting on a simple black shirt and blue jeans, she made her way to the kitchen to grab an apple before walking out the door. Once outside, Assana found her mother, Sienna, and told her that she would be hanging out with her friend.
Assana walked for a few minutes before reaching her friend's house. Ahe was already waiting for her outside and once he saw her he quickly ran over.
"Assana! You're finally here!"
She smiled at Ahe and laughed at him. "You missed me, didn't you?" Assana teased him as he punched her arm and laughed alongside her.
Ahe has always been by Assana's side since the very beginning. They were simply inseparable and they grew an extremely strong bond. They were even able to tell what the other was thinking by simple gestures, helping them communicate quite easily.
His hair was soft, curly and it reached his shoulders. It was dyed blue and purple, making it look like a galaxy. Ahe has always taken great care of his hair and he always made sure that his hair wasn't out of place. He was paler than Assana and had big hazel colored eyes and thick eyelashes. Not only that, but he was a bit short and always wore clothes that were a little too big, making him look extremely cute.
Ahe has always been chased by girls because of his cute and shy appearance, however, he simply doesn't swing that way.
Ahe and Assana decided to go and eat at a nearby bakery. The bakery was filled with many delicious delights. Their stomachs growled loudly as the sweet smell of pastry and bread reached them, making them both laugh and quickly order what they wanted to eat since they couldn't control their hunger any longer.
"This tastes so good!" Assana moaned while shoving chocolate cake in her mouth. The small cake tasted like heaven and the melted chocolate complemented it very well, making it taste sweeter and more delicious.
Ahe sighed before taking a napkin and throwing it at her face while snickering and rolling his eyes.
"Learn how to eat. You've been like this ever since we met."
"Let me live in peace. Life isn't long, you know. You should live it to the fullest!"
Once they finished their desserts, they threw everything away and walked out of the store. There were many people outside, enjoying the warmth and peacefulness. Everyone was talking and laughing freely, looking as if they had absolutely no problems.
All of a sudden, the atmosphere around them began suffocating them. It was as if a huge boulder was on top of them, making their knees go weak and forcing them to the ground. The people that were once enjoying the peacefulness began to scurry away to find shelter, seeming as if they already knew what was happening. Their phones buzzed rapidly, signaling that they had received an important and urgent message.
"A-Assana," Ahe choked out as he showed her his phone. It was indeed an extremely important and worrying message. Assana could only guess that it was sent to everyone since a few people stopped running away and began staring at their phones with a confused and scared expression.
The message was informing them about a strange occurrence that was about to happen and that everyone should take cover. If they were unable to do so, then they would have to suffer the unknown consequences.
Ahe turned around quickly and ran back to the bakery. He began banging on the bakery's door, desperately begging the owner to let them both in. Assana stood still, unable to move due to shock. The owner looked at both Assana and Ahe. A mix of feelings was shown through his eyes, but the most prominent one was sadness. The owner slowly shook his head as he denied their entry and closed the curtains.
Finally snapping out of it, Assana took Ahe's shaking hand and looked at him, her eyes full of determination.
"Let's go!"
