*Chapter 4: The Package*
Aria's instincts screamed warning as she accepted the package from Vraxxis. It was a small, unmarked box wrapped in black paper, and it seemed to radiate an aura of malevolence.
"What's in it?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
Vraxxis's smile was cold and calculating. "That's need-to-know, Aria. Let's just say that it's a little surprise for Archangel Gabriel."
Aria's mind racing, she tried to think of a way to get out of this. She knew that delivering the package would put her in grave danger, but she also knew that refusing Vraxxis's request would be suicidal.
She tucked the package into her jacket pocket, trying to appear confident. "I'll deliver it," she said, trying to sound calm.
Vraxxis's eyes glinted with amusement. "I knew I could count on you, Aria. You have 24 hours to deliver the package. After that, things will get... complicated."
Aria nodded, trying to hide her fear. She knew that she had to get out of there, and fast.
As she turned to leave, Vraxxis's voice stopped her. "Aria."
She turned back to face him, her heart pounding in her chest.
"Yes?" she asked, trying to sound calm.
Vraxxis's smile was cold and calculating. "Don't even think about trying to open the package or betray me. I have... measures in place to ensure your loyalty."
Aria's blood ran cold as she realized the true extent of Vraxxis's power. She knew that she was trapped, and that her only hope was to see this through.
